Quietness, Was the only sound she heard every morning she woke up. Not even a dripping faucet was to be heard in the huge manor. Her eyes opened to the bright sun that shone in her face, and the gentle breeze that blew her curtain gently as it didn't even seem to make a noise. Her pretty little emerald eyes looked over to the rippling curtain before she sat up giving a mighty yawn stretching her arms. Standing up she went to her dresser, pulling out appropiate clothing for the day. She stood there getting ready looking over to the picture and the letter that was sat there wide open.

Her face saddened. They were both from Ness. He had been gone for quite a while now, and she wondered about him almost every day. She sure hoped he was enjoying himself back home. Perhaps he would be enjoying himself to much, and not want to come back. The little thought struck fear in her heart as she turned both pieces of paper over. She didn't want to think about it.

Down the steps she went, her footsteps seemed to echo throughout the manor. Into the kitchen she went, grabbing some pancake batter out of the fridge and warmed a pan up making herself breakfast. Sure she was young, but her cooking skills were almost top notch. Using a spatula to put her pancakes down on a plate, she made her way to the table, smothering them in strawberries, apples and whipped cream, a little cherry ontop.

She grabbed her butterknife and fork, digging into the pancakes, putting some in her mouth. Before she knew it she was just there, picking at the pancake. She didn't feel much like eating. She looked to a distant picture in the room of her two brothers and frowned. She had not seen them at all either. Either they wern't home, or might of got home when she was sleeping. She missed them too. pushing the one bite of eaten pancakes in the garbage she washed her plate. She always liked being alone, but these people had made her feel so comfortable, she did not want to tear herself away from them. Into the living room she went, plopping on the couch laying her head down on the pillow thinking about the whole clan.

The door opened in the morning hours, creaking in the quiet Manor. Slowly a set of footsteps tapped the floor of the front landing. The door shut a few seconds later, and there stood Ness. His visor-shades propped up on his hat above his forehead, and his comm-link earpiece resting gently on his left ear as usual.

His left arm still had his familiar Itemizer - the forearm mounted computerized bracer - and those headphones were draped around his neck in the usual fashion.

He stepped through the lobby and smelled pancakes in the air, though the scent had faded and he knew there probably weren't any still fresh. But no matter, he wasn't quite hungry for once. Just the peacful feeling of being "home" made the difference.

Folding his arms over his chest and lowering his head a bit, he sensed about the house to see who was home. He felt no trace of Dameon or Jonas nearby. They must have been out. Though he did pick up on the one person he'd missed the most since he took his leave from RhyDin.

Walking through to the living room, he saw Kira laid down on the sofa and just stood back a bit and placed his hands on his hips.

"Well," he said with a grin, "aren't you a sight for sore eyes."

Her eyes were partially closed already almost like she was about to fall asleep again. She had gotten so comfy on the couch that it was hard to keep those lids of hers open. Once hearing the sound of the door open and creak, she immediately sat up alert to the manor around her. Nice wavy blonde hair fell over her face as she peered around cautiously. The pillow was placed right in her lap, ready to throw it at anything that may have come twords her.

But she did not see the direction he came in at first. Only heard the sound of his voice. Beautiful glassy emerald eyes looked slowley in his direction not believing what or much more who she heard. She remained quiet for only a moment before staring him down.

"NESS!"

She screamed and jumped out of her seat knocking the blanket clean off the couch. Perhaps that had been the loudest she had been known to speak. Quickly running to him and placing her arms appropriatly around him, in a gentle caring hug that only she could give, somthing that was rare for her. A tear came from her eye as she wiped it off with one hand, trying not to make it obvious she had tears of joy in her eyes. She unclasped her hands from him now taking a step back looking down bashfully.

Ness smiled happily as he threw his arms around Kira in return, embracing her tightly before she took her step back and looked floorward.

"Wow," he said, blushing a little bit, "someone's happy to see me."

He put his hands back on his hips and sighed, looking about at the house, seeing it was just the way he'd left it.

"So how have you been? You like that new lockable sketchbook I made for you?"

"It's wonderful! " She said enthusiastically. No one could take a peek at her drawings now, keeping the key in a special secret place she called her own, most likely no one was ever to find it. A bright smile twords him creating those smile Dimples around her lips.

She made her way back over to the couch taking a seat, a little rosey blush was spread across her cheeks. She was home alone with ness, so many things she could of told him but refrained from it. Instead she patted a seat next to her, not to close, offering him to sit.

"Did you have fun while you were gone? What kind of things did you do?" She sat there patiently awaiting a story, she was an excellent listener.
