They were chasing her, her and Akasho. Akasho's body moved beneath her body, strong and fast. Sleek as the night as they raced through the forest. She looked back to gage the distance between her and the creatures. She swallowed hard as Akasho stumbled and they both went down. She'd barely had time to recover and climb to her feet before they were on her. Clawing at her body, biting her...

She woke with a silent scream buried deep in her throat. She felt before she'd ever looked to see Dameon still sleeping soundly beside her. Thankfully she'd not woke him. She sat there, trembling and shaking as she looked around the moonlit room. Fingertips brushed against her head for a moment before she slipped soundlessly from the bed, she wrapped the warm robe about her body as she paced the room.

It'd been happening ever since the night Dameon had returned from their battle with Jupiter. At first, Rea thought them nothing more than the normal stress related headaches, but then it got worse...much worse. Visions accompanied the "headaches." The "headaches" were much more than that, they were painful, near the point that she almost passed out several times. She'd not let on to anyone how much these visions and "headaches" were bothering her, were...worrying her. What was happening to her, and why now?

They'd been growing in force and brutality since her visit to the Coroner's office. She just couldn't figure out what was wrong. She'd always been pride bound, never one to ask for help when she needed it, never one to accept it gracefully when it was offered. She stopped and looked towards the sleeping form of Dameon, a sigh on her lips as she turned to get dressed. She'd promised she'd seek Ness' aid in this, but would he even know what was happening to her? Did anyone? Dressed now, she stood by the window and looked out at the early dawn. A shake of her head and she moved to Dameon's side, her lips brushing briefly and ever so gently over his brow before she slipped from their room and out of the Manor.

She breathed in the gentle morning air, wincing slightly as the reverbrating pains still pounded in her head. A hand reached to steady herself against the sturdy wall of the Manor. Finally having steadied herself enough, she pushed off the wall and headed towards Ness' Lab, in hopes that he was an early riser and was already well at work.

It'd been a relatively short walk across the Compound, and she believed it did her some good. She stopped outside the door to the building, thrown forward with such a force it knocked the wind from her. She paled instantly, her eyes fluttering shut, both hands were braced on the door to Ness' Lab as she fell to her knees, biting back a scream.

"Who the hell?!" Ness jumped from his rolly-chair with a start, having fallen asleep in his lab after working through the night to try and locate Jonas' missing body. The Coroner's network had no information, and neither did any authority establishment.

Shaking his head and regaining his bearing, he leapt from the chair sending it rolling back and thudding into a random table with broken machine parts sitting atop it.

He ran to Reanna's side, kneeling next to her and grabbing her about the shoulders, shaking her a bit to try and get some sense into her.

"Reanna! Yo, what the hell happened?!"

Realizing she was not able to compose herself, he slowly closed his eyes and moved a hand about her temple, holding it there and sending relieving PSI Heal energy into her thoughts, hoping to alleviate the pain and possible inquire of her as to what was going on.

They were ripping at her flesh again, she could see strips of it being torn off. She could smell the rancid decay of death. She could feel their claws all over her body. She could feel them biting into her flesh, she could see them.

"No, no, no, please no." She trembled in the arms that held her. Shaking as if she were dreaming. She heard someone's voice, but everything was so groggy. Something was washing over her. What was it? Where was she? What the hell happened to her? She'd been on her way to see Ness and she remembered stopping outside his door because...oh...oh...Her eyes fluttered open to look, almost dazed like at Ness' face. She blinked several times. Feeling quite odd in his arms. Her eyes were a stormy silver as she looked up to Ness, her head shifting slightly as she canted it. Despite the severe pain she'd just suffered, the pain had eased up and she smirked at him. "Hey there handsome."

He blushed a bit at her greeting, opening his eyes and smirking and helping her to her feet. As his eyes opened, they went from a glowing white back down to their calm blue coloration.

"What happened?" Ness said, taking a deep and worried breath. "You were seeing things. I caught glimpses of it, but wasn't scanning hard enough to make it out. I was more hellbent on relieving it."

He quickly reached for another rolly-chair, wheeling it around behind her and taking her shoulders again.

"Please," he implored, "sit down. It'll be better if you don't try to stand, y'know, in case one of those wicked attacks comes on again."

He looked at her, arching a brow and placing his hands on his hips.

"So," he smirked, "I take it you came here because I'm the resident telepath?"

She'd noted the change in his eyecolors, and carefully canted her head more as she stood with care. She'd seen it happen before, but shaking her head, it hurt to much to think. He was seeing things? Had she projected them? Swallowing hard, she eyed the weird chair and sat down. Blinking at him again, stormy pale silver eyes rested on him.

She looked away from him a moment, as if trying to decide whether or not to tell him just everything or to tell him the basics. Pride was an ugly lover as she looked back to him. "I've been having some "headaches." Everyone is most concerned that they are something more than just that." She shrugged a bit and looked away at all the gadgets once again to divert her eyes. "I made a promise to come here, and so here I am." She looked back to him smirking. "Dameon says you can fix me." She nodded mostly to herself as she watched him, hoping against hope that he could not really see the actual depth of these "headaches."

"Fix you, eh?" He chuckled a bit at her choice of words, and folded his arms over his chest, nodding.

"Well," he continued, "what it seems like to me is some kind of psychic attack. Someone's out to mess with your head, and I don't like it. Dameon's probably seen it happen before, which is why he told you to see me. So... let's have a look, shall we?"

He moved around behind her, placing his hands on her shoulders and leaning her back in the pivoting rolly-chair a little bit.

"What I want you to do," he said quietly, "is to lean your head back. Relax, close your eyes, and just don't think outwardly. If anyone's in there buggin' you, I'll figure it out."

She'd been trying to make a joke of all this. Trying to keep the mood light but Ness had dropped the equivalent of the atomic bomb on her head as she whooshed out a breath at him. Her head still canted, stormy silvers studied him. "Psychic attack? Wait, wait. Hold it. They're just headaches Ness. A look?" Horror flitted over her for a moment, images of him dissecting her brain flittered through foolishly for a second as she felt him move behind her. Felt his hands on her. His voice was settling her. And so she would lean her head back against whatever it was she was leaning back against and she would do as he asked of her. She closed her eyes, fear and panic welling inside her stomach.

He would see now. He would see everything she had been seeing since the night Dameon returned to them. He would see what Rea had been trying to hide. Trying to brush off as nothing more than mere "headaches."

Her body twitched slightly as they came now. In waves and torrents. An army of half-breed creatures chasing her. Coming after her. There were so many of them. Blood already soaked their scaly skins, fresh blood dripping from their fangs. As they chased her, they left a trail of blood everywhere. Rea swore that one of those damn creatures wore the necklace that she'd given to Dameon the night he'd left for the inevitable battle. This time she faltered as she blinked at the necklace, shaking her head. She ran, leaping from tree top to tree top to try and out run them. To try and keep ahead of them. But it was not working.

Her eyes opened suddenly, and instead of the flickering colors that one would be accustomed to with Rea, there was nothing blackness. Pure and utter blackness.

As she leaned back, he knelt behind her. He placed his fingertips upon her temples, and rested his forehead against the top of her head, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

His eyelids fluttered a bit as he scanned her. She wouldn't feel a thing. She wouldn't even realize he was in there. The only thing she would see or feel were what these 'headaches' were dictating to her.

Ness found himself projected into her thoughts. He stood invisable to her where the demons were chasing her through the woods. His projected self swooped up and flew along behind the chase, seeing the beaten up Rea, and the hordes of demons chasing her.

Could these be the source of the attack? Is their leader somehow tormenting her psyche? But what's the connection... why would they attack her this way instead of just showing up and thrashing her themselves?

His thoughts raced as he followed along inside of her thoughts, trying to piece together who could be sending these images to her. The essence felt familiar, but it was not these demons that he felt. He felt something he knew. Something he himself had been close to.

But who was it?

Suddenly, the area within Rea's thoughts turned bright white to Ness, and then faded into pure blackness, which Ness found himself floating in alone, and uncontrollably.

There was no sound. There was no light. There was only Ness' projected self, and a torrent of psychic energy bombarding him for this time that he remained within Reanna's psyche.

"Get out, boy," a familiar voice hissed into Ness' thoughts. "She's MINE now!"

"And tell the dragon that he is next."

Ness jolted a bit as his scanning was intercepted, his teeth gritting and sweat beginning to form about his face. After the message was delivered into his thoughts, he was thrown back away from Reanna with telekinetic force, slamming into the wall behind them and sliding down to sit on the floor.

His eyes fluttered open, returning from their telepathic white to their normal blue, as he sat dazed on the floor, blinking and trying to regain his composure.

"Da... Dameon..." he sputtered out. "I need to see Dameon... because... your headaches...."

And with that, his head lolled limply downward, as he closed his eyes tightly and tried to get his bearing back.

It took her a few moments to regain her own bearings. Shaking her head carefully. Fingertips brushing the temples. She blinked several times as stormy silver eyes now looked towards Ness. "Oh no. Ness? Ness are you...what? What about Dameon? What about the "headaches?"

Rea squinted her eyes shut again, head canted as she stood up, rubbing her chilled skin. She wasn't sure she understood but Ness looked extremely freaked out. She looked at him, still tryin to put things together. "What the hell is going on with me Ness?"

He swallowed hard, looking up to her and shaking his head, his eyes open wide now and his pupils dialated. A cold nervous sweat had broken out about him, and his breathing was erratic, almost panicked.

"You're... you're being attacked..." he gritted his teeth and swallowed again, sliding himself back up against the wall until he was standing at a lean against it, placing his hands on his hips and hesitating.

"Rea..." he continued, "you're being attacked by that demon... Jupiter's demon..."

She'd noted the changes in the calm, soothing Ness. He'd turned into a panicked, nervous wreck Ness. She crossed her arms over her ample breasts, listening to him.

She nodded when he'd said she was being attacked. This she could accept, she guessed. She had no choice. "Ok. So the beasts have found a way into my mind. What can you...WHAT?!" All color drained from her face. The storm fighting in her eyes only got worse as she blinked at him. "I am what? Jupiter? But but he's dead. Dameon said so. Jon...Jonas gave his life for us. For you all. Jupiter is dead. No." Shaking her head furiously. "No, that cannot be possible Ness." But she knew Ness would never make a joke of such a thing. How? Why? Why the hell was this happening to her?

"Jupiter is dead..." Ness said weekly, growing more pale by the minute.

"And so is Jonas... but that demon somehow survived... the demon that Jupiter merged into Jonas' body..."

He then blinked, shaking his head and looking utterly flabbergasted. A look of sudden realization crossed him as he broke away from the wall and began pacing the lab hurriedly, his hands on his hips and his lips pursed.

"That's why Jonas' body isn't at the Coroner's office!" He exclaimed, pacing and racing in thought. "The demon is still using Jonas' body as a host, even with Jonas' spirit gone from it! Jonas was killed, but the demon survived in his body!"

Concern and worry flashed through her as she watched Ness pale. She chewed on her lower lip, a shakey hand ran through her touseled hair. "Ok, so if he is dead, then how the ... Demon?" She shook her head a minute and then, slowly she started to click the things into place.

Host? Demon? Body? Oh her head was beginning to spin, but what did not make sense, is if this is the case, then why in the hell is this demon thing coming after her?

"Ok, wait slow down. Jupiter is dead. Jonas is dead. Demon still has Jonas' body. Therefor, Demon-inhabited-Jonas' body and now we are going to do what about it? Wait wait, why the hell is this demon thing coming after me then?"

He looked at Reanna, shaking his head at first. He had to piece back together what he was told, but it took a second. It all happened so fast, and then it hit him. He snapped his finger in realization and pointed at Reanna.

"You're the closest one to Dameon!" He nodded assuredly, returning his hands to his hips and pacing more. "It said something to the effect of 'she's mine now, the Dragon's next.' The demon resents Dameon. I saw it after the fight we had with that gunslinger dude in the alley."

"It was before you came about. This dude was eyeing Kira in the bar and pissing us all off. We ended up in the back alley and had a scuffle with him, and he turned out to be some demonic warrior."

"After the demon took Jonas over and wasted that guy, it floored me and Yuki and got in Dameon's face. Dameon took it down and it reverted back to Jonas being in control. That's why it resents Dameon, because Dameon always stopped it from using Jonas' body for bad stuff."

He went to his desk, and rested his hands on it, propping himself up against it and nodding, looking to Reanna.

"It used to speak very elaborately when Jonas was alive," he said. "This was quick. Direct. It was nothing more than the point. It's lost it's greater thought process with Jonas gone. All it can focus on now is it's hatred for Dameon."

"It's going to torment you," he confirmed, "to make Dameon weak. It will attack us, I'm sure. I'm just not sure if Dameon will have the heart to destroy it while it looks like Jonas."

ReannaFalassion

She was baffled. It didn't make sense. Why come after her? Kira was certainly much closer, and if not then Ness was. She...well she was just a girlfriend. Stormy silver eyes settled on Ness.

"Gunslinger dude?" Blinking as she tried to keep up with Ness' chattering. "I'm not the closest one to him, Ness. I'm just his girlfriend. It would make more sense to go after Kira or yourself, no? Kira is his sister."

Torment her? She'd been tormented all her life, what else would be new? So the "headaches" couldn't be stopped. Grand. What the hell is she going to do now? She looked over the many objects in his Lab and sighed. His words echoed in her mind. If Dameon couldn't do it...would she have to? Could she? What were they to do now? "What do we do now?"

Ness Bell

He nodded to her words. He truly agreed with her, but he was trying to follow the demon's logic.

"You have his heart," he said. "You're the one whom he beds with at night. Remember, this demon is now only able to focus on base information."

He walked over to a table which had his sword and his cloak resting on it. He grabbed his sword and clasped it by the sheath to his belt over his left hip. He then took his cloak and swept it around himself, fastening it about his collarbone area and walking toward her.

"If Dameon can't look past the fact that it's not Jonas and put the damn thing in a hurt locker," he said bleakly, "then we're basically screwed."

He moved for the door, opening it and waiting.

"How about we discuss this at the Red Dragon? I'll sent a quick mental note to Dameon to join us, and he'll meet us there. He needs to know about this."

This was all so much. So damn much for what she'd deemed, no more than simple "headaches." She nodded to him. Yeah. The Inn. She needed to get out of here to do something to...to something. She stepped out into the breeze, under clouded skies. Stormy silvers looked up. A quiet oath to herself....And if Dameon can't. then I will have to. I won't let it hurt any of you. I promise you. She looked over her shoulder at Ness. "I'll meet you there."

She had to run, she had to let off the panic that was burning deep in her. The storm that raged inside her. She saw Ness nod and off she went, into the now waning night. She leapt from tree to tree, raced along the backroads. At a pace that was near inhumane, a grace that was feline like and the whisper of death surrounded her. She stopped in the tallest tree above the Inn, catching her breath. To much. To little.
