They were chasing her, her and Akasho. Akasho's body moved beneath her body, strong and fast. Sleek as the night as they raced through the forest. She looked back to gage the distance between her and the creatures. She swallowed hard as Akasho stumbled and they both went down. She'd barely had time to recover and climb to her feet before they were on her. Clawing at her body, biting her...
She woke with a silent scream buried deep in her throat. She felt before she'd ever looked to see Dameon still sleeping soundly beside her. Thankfully she'd not woke him. She sat there, trembling and shaking as she looked around the moonlit room. Fingertips brushed against her head for a moment before she slipped soundlessly from the bed, she wrapped the warm robe about her body as she paced the room.
It'd been happening ever since the night Dameon had returned from their battle with Jupiter. At first, Rea thought them nothing more than the normal stress related headaches, but then it got worse...much worse. Visions accompanied the "headaches." The "headaches" were much more than that, they were painful, near the point that she almost passed out several times. She'd not let on to anyone how much these visions and "headaches" were bothering her, were...worrying her. What was happening to her, and why now?
They'd been growing in force and brutality since her visit to the Coroner's office. She just couldn't figure out what was wrong. She'd always been pride bound, never one to ask for help when she needed it, never one to accept it gracefully when it was offered. She stopped and looked towards the sleeping form of Dameon, a sigh on her lips as she turned to get dressed. She'd promised she'd seek Ness' aid in this, but would he even know what was happening to her? Did anyone? Dressed now, she stood by the window and looked out at the early dawn. A shake of her head and she moved to Dameon's side, her lips brushing briefly and ever so gently over his brow before she slipped from their room and out of the Manor.
She breathed in the gentle morning air, wincing slightly as the reverbrating pains still pounded in her head. A hand reached to steady herself against the sturdy wall of the Manor. Finally having steadied herself enough, she pushed off the wall and headed towards Ness' Lab, in hopes that he was an early riser and was already well at work.
It'd been a relatively short walk across the Compound, and she believed it did her some good. She stopped outside the door to the building, thrown forward with such a force it knocked the wind from her. She paled instantly, her eyes fluttering shut, both hands were braced on the door to Ness' Lab as she fell to her knees, biting back a scream.
