Coming to the clearing in the forest, Jewell had explained to him several times exactly how to find his way the clubhouse, if ever need be. Because of that (and getting lost two or three times), he managed to come across what he had figured to be that clubhouse. While, normally, Alex had no clear intentions of coming so close to the place.. (Being frightened that Tara may, at any random time, want to remarry him.. even after incidents.) .. someone was on his mind. Why, his certain lover interest, Jewell. It had been several days (week?) since he had encountered her. Kina had said they were off to find a fishlady. The same fishlady that she wanted him to clean? Or something! He wouldn't bother with dirty fish.. so she was off on her own.

He slowed outside, the sounds of a dolphin chitting off to one side, as he perked up, peering about to see if Jewell was back from her fish journey, yet. "Oi! Jewell! You in there?" He'd shout, his hands cupping over his mouth, to amplify the sound of which he was hoping to carry within. Unable to get any kind of response, his darkened hues narrowed as he ducked off to one side of the clubhouse. Either a window was to be unlocked, or perhaps even a sidedoor. He wanted to find Jewell, without finding anyone else. (Like that would happen!)

Doors? Windows? Alex would not find anything like that here! The only door was the front door, which appeared to have been wedged shut, locked, nailed firmly, and maybe even barred from the inside just to be sure. And with the recent additions of the semi-skeletal guards.. well it just did not look that inviting either.

The ladder however looked nice and friendly, with a freshly painted sign hung on it that said "This way to Certain doom, I hope you brought clean underware for the funeral"

There was a way of living that was ingrained in Jewell when she was a child- no matter what was going wrong in your life you must always portray yourself as happy and well satisfied. Her mother had lived by this rule, from what she could gather of patchy memories. It had been drilled in her early and incomplete training as a politician- always act cool and collected. She did her best to portray this peachy-keen attitude no matter what happened.

There had been time when she had deviated from this conduct. When she had been taken by that man. When Cher killed herself and left her body outside Jewell's front door. When she returned to RhyDin once more, an emotional wreck.

She hadn't liked the end results in any of those instances. Her brother had openly reproved her in the first, telling her to get over it. The second had just been a nightmare in itself while the third made her look like a weak ninny infront of the people of RhyDin. Jewell Ravenlock did not like to look weak.

She promised herself that there was one thing she would never become openly distressed about again, and that was her relationship with Alex. It had always been far from perfect, even at the best of times. Their schedules were conflicting and they could often go about their daily lives without seeing one another.

Yet, she couldn't complain. She had tied her soul to him. Because of that, she could usually feel when he was near. However, she had been on the other side of the clearing from her usual spot near the pond when he had arrived. She quit her game of chess with..well herself..and came dashing towards the clubhouse, arms waving about in the air.

Their time apart.. days that moved to weeks, weeks that had, at times, moved to months.. always caused a certain amount of distress in him. The distress clouded many feelings that were bound to his significant, to the point that it was hard, at times, to even feel that she close. They held that bond mutually.

He wasn't entirely used to what what was the clubhouse.. he was -hoping- for something of that nature.. (Given, he's brrrraaaannnnd new to the idea of this clubhouse. It makes sense, now!) Windows, doors, secret elevators.. he could come up with a list, but he'd not find any of these things. While the ladder was regarded, he had no intent to go along and climb it. He wanted a secret way. Something to peek around with.

All in the meantime, while he found himself lurking below, he was completely unaware that the one he was looking for wasn't anywhere near by, but quickly closing in. Their meeting was inevitable, at this point. One would find the other, even if he was hoping to secretly surprise her!

Certainly she, knowing the clubhouse quite well now and having the ability to silence her footsteps, would be the one to sneak up on him. She ceased her madly waving arms and approached the clubhouse more cautiously, grey eyes open wide and sharp ears listening out. She was feeling quite merry today and up for some shenanigans.

Her ability to feel him, sense his presence, was not some precise telephathic ability. She couldn't easily single him out in a crowd or tell anyone his exact location. It was a more of an "over there" or "in that direction" sort of thing. Vague but helpful enough.

She was using it now to creep up on the side of the clubhouse she knew him to be, near the ladder. It was a shame she couldn't pop out of one of the windows of the clubhouse, but those were all locked up...so were the doors. She considered an aerial attack, but jumping down from the roof on where she thought he was didn't seem like it would end well.

In the end she stood at the corner of the building, thinking him to be on the other side of the wall. Taking a deep breath she started around the corner, running and screaming with her arms flailing about. She was yelling about the marauders she swore were climbing the ravine wall at this very moment to come and attack the clubhouse. Her goal- run right into him.

His head snapped in the direction of the screams, and his eyes would fall directly upon this girl running and flailing and such.. right for him. And run into him she would. He hadn't the slightest expectation to have found her, or she him, so easily. The collision had him falling backwards, arms flailing like hers, all the way to the ground with a loud thud, and 'oof' to follow. "Jewell!" The pain and possible thrown back would come into the picture, later. "You!" Excitement was upon the forefront. Being apart as they were always caused for a kind of concern, no matter the cause or reason. Even if it was noted beforehand. Consider it a lifebond, of sorts.

Without the ability to move or.. even breathe, really, he just opted to have his arms about her, to hold her against him in a hug. There was a lack of anything further to be said, or done, at that moment. And while he had the questions of 'where were you?' and, 'What'd you do with those kids?'.. they'd come, in time. Jewell being there with him was the most important thing on his mind, and probably would be, for the rest of the evening.
