Savria was moving through the marketplace, almost unerringly. The force sight allowed her to move unhindered but without color. She had a few supplies she needed to find, foodstuffs and other items. She was not aware of being observed.

Lord Travanix reached up fixing his hair as much as he could without taking another shower. ?I am must happy with the outcome.? He looked out of the corner of his eyes, something was coming...someone...

"Of course. You take pleasure in torturing others to get your way" Amber was still smirking

Savria knew Culpos would worry with her out and about, but she was used to doing much for herself.

Travanix looked a bit. Then back to the girl. He pulled out a black ribbon but pulled out a leather pouch. ?Do not directly touch this ribbon, but take it to the foodstuffs merchant. Instruct him that he now needs to pay back what he owes me and make sure this gets into,? He points to Savria, ?her order. Go now, no questions.?

Amber nodded, pulling a pair of gloves from a pocket and pulling them on before taking the ribbon. Then, she moved to the requested merchant, relaying Travanix's words in a quiet voice. "You. Lord Travanix wants you to repay your debts. You see that woman? Make sure she gets this" After doing that, she grabbed an apple, tossed him a coin, and moved back to Travanix.

Savria stopped at one of the clothing vendors. She could see the cut and the style, but sighed softly. The lack of colors made things difficult.

While Amber was gone, Travanix stepped back to keep himself from being "seen" by the girl. Going so far to close his eyes, releasing his instinctual control over the darkness in the air, allowing it to return to its normalcy. Noticing Travanix was stepping back, possible to not be seen, Amber adjusted her course just slightly, heading back to the teashops door.

There was a brief... disturbance and Savria stopped for a moment. She was alert and yet found nothing. Perhaps it was someone playing with things they shouldn't be. Wouldn't surprise her.

His were eyes still closed. It was so much easier to turn it on, keep it on and allow it to announce him wherever he went. Now to turn it off was the work while letting it hang in the air was so much more easier.

Turning around, Amber leaned back against a window, taking a bite of the apple.

Sensing nothing out of the ordinary, Savria?s path moved towards the food vendor. She had left her list with the owner and made her way back to pay for it. There was a smile as she greeted the owner. Savria looked through her order, making sure everything was in place. She looked up at the shopkeeper, sensing the fear just as her fingers brushed against the ribbon he had secreted in the box. "Is something wrong?"

Travanix smiled darkly, still eyes closed and concentrating. Amber smirked, smelling the fear herself. Travanix wasn't the only one taking enjoyment in these things. The merchant, frantic because of what had been delivered quickly responded, ?No, not at all. Been a very busy day.? Though she could not see it, his eyes moved straight to the dark form settling himself in the corner.

By then, contact had been made fully with the ribbon. Savria though did nod slightly and smiled reassuringly. "I can well understand those." The glance had been noted as she could still see the eye movements just not his iris color. She made no sudden moves as she paid for the goods. She turned to the shadow though, seemingly as she turned to leave.

The merchant smiled his best smile and then got away from the front trying to hold back his sobs. Amber?s eyes flicked to Travanix, with a questioning look.

Savria had her goods, and she didn't sense anything truly out of the ordinary. But then she was on full alert now, not realizing what truly occurred.

The black form slowly opened his eyes. Well, maybe he would return the merchants daughter... But there is no way to tell how long the girl would stay with her 'father' before making a mad dash back to her master. Of course, that didn't tell the lycan anything. Amber tossed the apple core into a trash can then folded her arms

She shook her head not able to shake the bad feeling. She was sure it was a force vision trying to rear it's ugly head, but she fought to hold it off until she could get back to her quarters.

The chill was released, allowing it to slowly take back over the area around him. That chill brought the slightest of shivers from the lycan

There was a frown on Savria?s lips as she moved for the portal. For some reason, she needed to get back to Culpos. She always felt safe with him. Right now, she didn't feel safe here.

Travanix chuckled lowly to himself. With the strength of the ribbon, it would be interesting to see how far she falls.

"Want me to get her or let her go?" Amber asked quietly

Travanix moved towards her a little closer. ?Patience is the name of this game, my dear.? He spoke quietly. ?In time... the ribbon will bring her back to me.?

Amber eyed him for the briefest of moments, to the words 'My dear', but she said nothing of it. She simply nodded.

Savria moved through the portal to Mt Yasuo. She was still unable to shake the uneasy feeling as she turned for her quarters. She did not know about those plotting against her.

Travanix laughed darkly, his eyes turning blood red for a moment. ?Perfect.? He looked around, checking the small crowd before he stepped away from the building. ?So very perfect indeed.?

"If I may ask? What do you have planned?" Curiosity was getting the better of Amber.

?I am going to change the world...? Travanix looked at her. ?No one is safe.? He moved deeper into the crowd humming a dark little tune as his arms folded behind him.

"Really?" A smirk played on Amber?s lips. "I do believe you have already changed me, Travanix."

?What I have worked out over the last few days, these small changes is nothing in comparison. In the woods, the north side of the city.? Travanix pulled out a small orange vile that was now her life's blood and extended it to her. ?There is a set of black stone towers. Be there, tomorrow night. Understood??

"Of course" The vial was taken, and carefully pocketed, as Amber committed to location to memory.

Travanix moved through the crowd, reviewing the people passing buy him. Wondering how each will scream. And like a well trained guard dog, or perhaps someone that held a secret interest in the man, the lycan followed behind Travanix.

He smiled to himself, moving towards the markets... And still Amber followed him, loyally. Though, just to what her loyalties lie is up to debate.

Meanwhile, in a private apartment on Mt. Yasou. With a light nudge of her force TK, Savria opened the door to her quarters. She started unpacking the foodstuffs as she tried to use the Meditation techniques to calm her mind.

It isn't long before Culpos comes in to their shared place, dressed in not much besides a pair of light pants, sweat gleaming on his body and his breathing indicating he's been exercising. So attuned is he to her moods that he comes to a halt, the brown eyes locking on her face. "What is it?"

She had a small box with a black ribbon in her hand "(vq) Must've put this in by mistake." She turned as Culpos entered, seeming to relax visibly. "I don't know. Been feeling... off since I went into Rhy'din City."

He sighs, walking over to her, and slipping an arm around her waist. "You should have waited - I could have gone with you. Or for you."

She leaned back against him and tilted her head up to regard him, "Oh, you know I get stubborn and like to get out a little."

He sighs, shaking his head with a slight smile. "It's a good thing you're not as helpless as you look." The dark eyes turn towards the box with its black ribbon. "What's that you have?"

She shrugged a bit, "Looks like Davron threw in some sweets." She couldn't tell what color the ribbon was though.

He wrinkles his nose slightly."Hmm...you can have those...I'm not much of one for sweets. Nice of him, though."

She laughed softly at that, "The way you sound, it's as if they would go right to your waist line." She teased lightly.

He snorts softly, chuckling and rolling his eyes, nudging her lightly with his shoulder and bending down to touch his lips to her temple. "Because I wouldn't want to lose this girlish figure." Chuckling softly, he lets go of her waist and moves for the bathroom to take a shower.

She laughed softly, "Nothing girlish about it, love." She tilted her head at the ribbon a moment. She needed to replace one of the ribbons in her formal robes. She looked thoughtful.

The following morning

It hadn't been hard to follow the trail, of course.

After all, a Master knows her student, and this one was a rarity even for a Jedi to have trained - Miraluka were nearly extinct, and so to train one was something truly special.

And her student had been sent after a Fallen, a man known to the council as Jorre Olatl. His falling had been particularly destructive, his crimes against not only people but Jedi themselves, and he had to answer for his sins.

The woman, tall, her dark hair showing the subtler hints of silver in her age, the slight lines of the careworn in her face, stands near the home in this place, known to the locals as Mount Yasuo. There are interesting things here, many good, some evil, just as it seems to be with any other place. Despite her age, despite the shill in the air, she stands tall and proud, the hints of time's subtle work on her features offset by her brilliant blue eyes. Youthful, energetic, sharply intelligent eyes.

She can feel her student here.

And the one she was sent for. That power, though tamed, still has that feel of darkness to it. He is not here, but his power lingers in this place like a stain upon the Force.

But even if it didn't, he must be brought back to the council to face their judgement.

With a sigh, she raises her hand and knocks briskly on the wooden door.

The night prior had been an ordeal. She had nestled into the crook of Culpos' arm as was their habit since taking those steps. She truly believed he could be redeemed. Last night, though, her dreams had been plagued by nightmares. Visions of destruction and death. She couldn't make out the faces, though the feel was familiar.

Culpos had left on an errand early the next morning, leaving her to sleep in. She couldn't rest long, however. She was soon up out of habit and moving to tidy up their quarters. She was still troubled by the visions and more than once walked into a low table or chair. To say she was getting frustrated with herself was an understatement. She didn't realize her temper was already frayed.

Then came the knocking at that door. She wasn't expecting anyone, so when she looked to the door and saw Master Bejsa, she was off-guard. She was also a little more than fearful. She moved to open the door to admit the woman that trained her.

The elder lady sweeps forward, into the place, looking around casually with a slight smile before meeting Savria's eyes.

"Savria, my student. I was...worried when you didn't return to us...we all were."

She can feel it, stronger here, thicker, heavier. Almost like a scent, that darkness, that corruption.

Turning away from her former student, she looks around the inside of her place, pretending to observe the place, before finally turning back to regard Savria once again.

"I have to ask, Savria...did you...find him?"

Savriana

Savria appeared to meet her Master's gaze. She heard the words and yet she could help the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"Savria, my student. I was...worried when you didn't return to us...we all were."

She truly wished she could believe that. It seemed as though they sent her on a fool's errand at first. Then she met the Dark Jedi. She fell once already for him and still maintained her grasp on the light. And yet, there was that fear. She was afraid of losing him.

"Master, I am fine."

There was a tight smile at the seemingly casual inspection of her home. Their home... Bejsa had been her master, but damnit she was no longer a student. The woman still knew how to make her feel young and small.

The frustration ignited into rage...

"I have to ask, Savria...did you...find him?"

Her voice was a bit tight as she answered, not willing to lie. Oddly enough, she felt lying was disrespectful to Culpos and what they shared.

"I think you know the answer to that, Master." There was the thinly veiled anger behind the seeming respect.

The brown eyes sharpen, wary...cautious...and alert, as they focus on her former student. She knows, all right, but she wanted to hear what her student had to say - to feel her response, not just to hear it.

It is as she feared - the influence of the man had, it seems, corrupted her student. With a soft sigh, she moves towards Savria, a hand extended towards her to touch her shoulder.

"Savria...there is no reason to be angry, or afraid. But he must...must be brought back to the Council for what he's done, for what happened...so that we can help him, and so that he can be judged."

--------------------

He's on his way back from RhyDin, coming through the portal, when he feels it.

Anger. Fear.

Another presence, as well. Cautious, wary, yet determined.

Another Jedi.

He drops the small bag, the gift he had gotten for his love, and starts off towards the house on the run...

There was a moments doubt that flitted across her conscience. She did not pull away from her Master's touch... Yet.

"Savria...there is no reason to be angry, or afraid. But he must...must be brought back to the Council for what he's done, for what happened...so that we can help him, and so that he can be judged."

"Master, is there no other way? He is not evil, can he not redeem himself?" She shook her head in denial, that doubt... "I love him. Judgment, no. Judgment is not helping him."

The insidious voice in her head whispered. ~They are going to take him away from you.~

She pulled away from her master, "No. I won't let you take him." The anger rose again. Unbeknown-st to all, the black ribbon was secreted in the pocket of her pants.

She turned her head to face her master. She had not had time to don the coverings for her eyes. Those sightless sockets seemed to darken just a bit.

He reaches the door, which was left open, it seems, in time to hear a stern female voice say, "Savria, you cannot fight this. He must come with me, now...and I think you should too." The voice softens slightly on the last notes. "I...fear he may have corrupted you."

Moving into the house, he steps into the living room to see his love, her entire form radiating not only fear, but...darkness...something he is all too familiar with. Confronting her is taller, older woman in Jedi robes, and his eyes settle on her - brown eyes, free from the corrupting red of the Dark Side he had been so deep in not so long ago.

A hint of that bloodred tone creeps into them for a moment as he feels the anger and fear coming from his beloved, and his voice growls out as he speaks. "And just what in the name of the Force is going on here?"

Clearly, the older Jedi had not felt him coming, focused as she was on Savria, and she turns with a start, snatching from under her robes a lightsaber and igniting it. A gold-yellow blade stabs out and is leveled towards him as she speaks, her eyes wide, her voice unwavering and strong.

"Jorre Olatl, you are called to the Council to face judgment for the crimes you committed on Dantooine, for your use of the Dark Side and your failure to answer our summons."

"Savria, you cannot fight this. He must come with me, now...and I think you should too." The voice softens slightly on the last notes. "I...fear he may have corrupted you."

Those words were a betrayal to her. Her Master saw her love as a corruption? The rage grew and was almost uncontrollable. Then surprise raced though her when she heard that growl, so welcome that it was.

"And just what in the name of the Force is going on here?"

Her heart nearly stopped as she watched her master ignite her weapon first. The seeds of betrayal had been planted in the heart of the jedi. She could only trust in her love and now he was in danger.

"Jorre Olatl, you are called to the Council to face judgment for the crimes you committed on Dantooine, for your use of the Dark Side and your failure to answer our summons."

The only warning for Bejsa was the snap-hiss of another lightsaber igniting behind her. There was no warning as the blue blade was driven through her heart. The master instantly joined with the force, leaving only her robes...

And a very shaken knight, sinking to her knees in horror...

What has she done?

Dark Sanity

No one is more surprised than he is at the sight of that blue lightsaber blade stabbing out through the Jedis' chest.

He had, for a moment, been ready to go with the old woman. He may not be...wholly rid of his own darkness, but there comes a time when one must own up to the things he's done...

He stands there, silent, shocked. Horrified, nearly, by what just happened.

He hadn't seen that coming.

For a long time, he just stares at the empty robe pooled on the ground, at the sight of Savria, kneeling there, apparently as shocked as he is.

"What...what did you do...?"

He barely recognizes the voice that comes out of him, a choked whisper, heavy with grief.

Of all the things he had thought might happen, this had not been something he wanted...he had not wanted his darkness to corrupt his beloved.

Falling to his knees, he looks into the dark sockets where her eyes should be.

"Savria...why...?"

Savriana

She is pale and very much shaken by what just happened. She cannot cry even though Bejsa was the only family she truly knew.

All the while, in the back of her head, a voice was calling to her. It was like a siren's song... Seductive, powerful.

"What...what did you do...?"

To hear that grief in his voice. It tore her apart further. The voice whispered at her. Eating at her. There was no going back.

Her head tilted up to Culpos. The grief, the guilt and oddly a sense of joy... of power...

"Savria...why...?"

Her voice was oddly steady, "I... couldn't let her take you, Culpos. The Council would never see you for who you are, only for what you did." She still didn't know what had happened. The part of her that loved him based her actions on the man he is.

"I... couldn't let her take you, Culpos. The Council would never see you for who you are, only for what you did."

He shakes his head, her statement bringing mixed feelings - love, shame, fear, anger. One part of him wants to feel glad she did what she did.

Another part of him - a small part, the corpse of the man known once as Jorre Olatl, but there all the same - is repulsed by it.

He's not sure how she came to his. He had known this day would come, certainly, and thought he had been prepared for it.

he had not thought it would come to this end.

He looks at her with wide eyes, shaking his head as he stands. "You...you should not have done this, Savria. You may be right in your thinking...but this...this is not the way you were taught...I would not have you become as I have been."

He turns away, not willing to let her see the fear and guilt he feels. For a long moment, he simply stands there, looking around the room...lost.

Savriana

Her feelings were in turmoil. On one hand, a small part of her is horrified, repulsed by what she did. On the other hand, a larger part of her is reveling in the death and the power released.

She tilted her head up, still on her knees as she looked up at the man she knew as Culpos. No one had told her who he was or what he had truly done. There had been whispers about what happened at Dantooine.

"You...you should not have done this, Savria. You may be right in your thinking...but this...this is not the way you were taught...I would not have you become as I have been."

She was at a loss herself. She may not see the fear and guilt, but she could certainly feel it. If she could cry right now, she would. Instead she is afraid... So very afraid of losing him.

Inside her head, that insidious like voice was calling her, pulling at her. It wanted her to run. Crooned that she had a place where she would be understood... Welcomed.

She clutched at her head with a soft moan. The turmoil, the chaos driving her further and further into the darkness.

Dark Sanity

For the first time in his life, he is unsure what to do. He can feel the turmoil, the growing darkness.

He can remember that very same feeling in himself, years ago, when he had come home to find his family murdered. Senseless deaths, all of them. His sister...his sister's husband, a good man...their children...the woman he had come to love and hoped to have a family with one day.

All dead, because of the cruel and sadistic nature of another.

And he had responded in kind.

First, the dark Force adept's men. His soldiers, one by one, crushed and burned and slaughtered like cattle.

And then the man himself. It had not been enough to merely have beaten the man that had killed his family...he had wanted vengeance. He had wanted the man to suffer.

And so he had crushed and beaten and burned the life out of him, inch by agonizing inch, opening himself up to depths of the Dark side he had not ever before thought to explore.

Looking at Savria, he can see it all laid out before her. Those same things he had been capable of, she was too.

And he could not allow that to happen.

It's all because of him, he's sure...because of his influence. And the only way he can think to fix it...

...is to go.

"I...am sorry, Savria."

It's all he can think to say before he turns and slips out of the house.

Savriana

In that next moment, the one thing she fears the most is coming true. She killed her master, the woman that practically raised her, to protect him and he is walking away. There was a scream of agony...

... Rage as the Force wells up within her and rolls out in a wave of destruction. The room around her is ripped to shreds as the man she loved simply walked away.

That insidious voice purred within her. See, even he doesn't understand. He didn't even stop to help you... to comfort you.

The whirlwind around the kneeling, weeping Jedi was incredible. The home they had built was reduced to rubble in mere moments with the rage. The only thing left standing was the robes of her people. The ceremonial gown she had been building, crafting. At first it had been white...

She had hoped...

Perhaps...

Not now. That hope had walked away from her.

Now it was dark, nearly black with gold. She was trembling with the rage as she unknowingly took the black ribbon from her pocket, where it had lay. Deft fingers slipped the ribbon through the fastenings within the bodice.

All the while the voice crooned and called to her. The song was seductive. Her feet were on the path as she dressed. She was without the very person she gave her soul for...

The woman walked out of the wreckage of the house. Her heart was bleeding and raw and yet her path was clear as she stepped through the portal...

She was moving for the Chainned Inn.

Dark Sanity

He hadn't gotten very far. Only to the other side of the portal, in fact, maybe a half mile beyond.

That inner debate rages, screaming in his mind.

He has to leave...this is all his fault.

But he can fix it, too...he knows how to come back from that darkness, even if there is still the influence, the knowledge in his mind.

But what if he gets it wrong...?

What does it matter? He at least has to try.

Indecision, recrimination. Finally, his feelings win out and he turns around, heading back for the portal and beyond.

By the time he gets back to their place, however, it's too late.

He is astounded by the utter devastation that has been wrought here...and the undeniable stain of the Dark side.

The first thing that takes him over is grief. Regret, that he did not stay. That he did not show her that...

As he collapses to his knees in the midst of the wreckage that had been their home, however, he feels something...darker.

More sinister.

The clear brown eyes open as his head is bowed.

To find, there on the ground before him...

...a single scrap of black cloth.

Reaching out to the Force, he extends his senses towards it...and feels it.

Even as he picks it up, he feels a familiar chill.

The brown eyes suffuse with red as he gets to his feet, staring at the fabric in his fingers, anger welling up within him.

He knows that there is more behind this than what he thought before, what he had assumed.

There is no thought, but to reclaim that which has been lost.

Reaching out to the Force, he starts following the trail...
