(The following is based on Live RP with Blair Hildegarde, RDI Amber, Tara, Ducii, Summre and Godric.)

What was she thinking... Seriously, Stiletto strap pumps and a black velvet dress. Corina even had her hair down and was wearing makeup. She looked nothing like she did normally and oh so out of place.

http://www.ladykayle.com/gallery/albums/userpics/coridress.jpg

Summre shifted, wincing slightly. The blood which stained the white linen wrapped around her torso seemed to darken, the stain spreading slightly with that small movement. She didn't care, really. She sipped the amber liquid in her glass, pressing a free hand to her hip to make an attempt at stopping the bleeding.

Blair?s crystalline eyes settle on the girl looking her over, and she gives her a small smile, dropping one long-lashed eyelid in a wink to her as her gaze moves on. Her legs cross, one over the other, as she relaxes in her claimed seat on top of the bar. The blue eyes come to rest on the girl at the fireplace, and the dark, spreading stain of blood. Her eyes widen a touch at that, looking around to see if anyone else had noticed that.

With her hair down, Corina looked softer, less severe. Not at all the captain of a ship in space. She looked around before moving to the bar, a slight nod to the girl sitting on top. Those dark blue eyes settle on the girl by the heart and a frown appeared seeing the stain. Decision made, she moved with a purpose to the hearth. "(vq) You okay?"

Summre gave a small smile, her icy gaze turning upwards. "Yeah, I'm fine. Probably tore some stitches, is all. Thank you." At this point, she really didn't care. It didn't hurt, so much... it was just annoying.

There was something in Cori?s dark blue eyes, "You sure, 'Cause I can call a doc I know?"

Seeing that someone else has taken an interest, Blair continues to watch, her fingers coming up to touch her hip pocket, tapping it as if checking for something.

"I'm sure." A sweet smile, now. Really, Summre was fine. Another sip of her drink. Somehow, though, she'd picked up on a sudden... tension... of sorts in the air. Gaze turned towards *Godric*, an eyebrow arched in curiosity. Returning to the woman, she smiled. "I do appreciate it, though, really I do."

Corina nodded a bit formally, "Alright. Your call." She headed for the bar then and looked to see if there was a tender... Her eyes stopped on the Minotaur and widened a fraction before she schooled her reactions to remain neutral. Culture shock warring with the desire for a drink... drink won. She took a seat at the bar near where Blair was perched. There was a discipline in her that belied the ... soft appearance. She tilted her head at the bull man and wondered if she should bother him. He certainly seemed like he could easily take a Vasudan.

"...I...I am no bar wench, and trust me, you dont want me coming near me when your spillin crimson like you are." Godric said in response to a call for a beer. He pulled up a badsider and snapped off the cap and set it on the bar next to <Blair> for <Cori> whom he assumed was friends with the woman on the couch. He upnodded her way with a snarl of lip that meant he had caught a strong waff of the blood again.

There was an arch of a brow, "I believe the saying is *I am no bar wench.*" Cori?s tone was a bit amused.

"Consider that noted then." Eyes on <Cori> as amused as she was, Godric was blank. Cigarette and bottle both pulled from before he snapped his gaze to Summre and a curl of lips ticked at the corners of his mouth before he canted his head. A rumble in his throat. "The fun is more yours than mine. Public feeding is frowned upon."

An eyebrow arched. "Don't assume you'd be able to get your hands on me..." A wicked grin, lips parted as if she had more to say. Summre chose to keep her comment to herself.

Corina?s dark blue eyes looked between the two, then to the silent female on the bar. She shook her head, and figured a drink would have to wait, "(vq) Freking fabulous... Yeah, this shore leave is fun." She muttered under her breath.

The crystal blue eyes watch the others in the Inn as they talk among themselves as Blair leans back, stretching languidly, her hands going behind her to prop her up as she watches everyone around her with a smile.

Eyes to Cori and he took in the outfit, Godric wondered why so dressed for a house of drunken debauchery. But didn?t say a word. Another badsider pulled up and popped open. He set the beer before her before picking up his bottle and handing a small handful of coin over to Amber. He went to sit at the hearth. Nodding to Summre. "I'll keep it in mind then."

She looked to the big red-head and nodded, "Thank you." The beer was welcome at this point. She was dressed up and feeling the fool for it. She figured heading out and maybe do something different on this new world. Instead here she was holding up the bar. A long pull was taken on the beer, something to occupy herself briefly. She debated heading back to the ship; at least there she could be alone in familiar territory. She did have a purse with her and she pulled a datapad out. She scrolled through the messages to see if she had an excuse to leave. She sighed and set the device on the bar. Dark blue eyes glance to the woman next to her on the bar. Then back to the pad. She leaned forward and clasped her hand before her face.

She muttered and straightened her dress as she finished the bottle of beer, "(vq) I am pathetic." Those dark blue eyes look around.

Godric?s brows furrowed and he watched the woman at the bar. She didn?t seem pathetic to him, she seemed uncomfortable and out of place. Perhaps more drinks would loosen her up.

Blair looks over at Corina with a smile, shaking her head. "It's all in your head, chummer."

Corina arched a look to the woman, "(vq) All in my head that I'm sitting alone in a bar on my shore leave?"

Blair shrugs at that, smiling, those crystal eyes on Corina's. "You're not the only one sitting alone. I am too, and I don't think of myself as pathetic at all."

Corina gave her a steady look, "Guess I got some things that are starting to get on my nerves." She flagged down Amber. "I'm Corina by the Way."

?Hiya Corina. How can I help ya? I am Amber.? The dwarven tender said as she came over.

"Another beer would be appreciated, Amber." Corina said.

?Beer here!? Amber slides her another free mug of beer, ?Enjoy! You new in town, Mz Corina? I cannot recall seeing you here on Tuesday, before. But I don't know everybody.?

Corina smiled a bit and took a drink, "Yeah, My ship just pulled into dock." A glance was given to Blair. She shook her head, back to her silence in the crowd.

She reaches out a hand to Corina with a smile, her manner almost lazy, much like the manner of a contented cat. "Blair."

The hand is grasped and the shake is firm, yet secure in her own strength. No testing in it, "Pleasure, Blair." Corina had mentioned to Amber her ship just arrived. She then curled a finger to beckon Amber over once she was caught up with orders. "When you have a moment."

Amber ambles over to Corina, ?How can I help ya??

Corina slid a couple of chits (silver) towards Amber, "(vq) For putting up with the bullies. Never let them know they bother you."

?Um, well it come wif the territory, I am only really like dis wif two of the customers. Most ever one is really nice, mostly? Amber said to Corina.

Corina chuckled softly, "It's like that everywhere."

?Thankee.? Amber replied to Corina. ?Magazines or drinks?? She gave a puzzled look to Ducii.

Blair grins, watching Corina talk to the bartender, sitting back lazily on the countertop and looking around again. Licking her lips slowly, she looks over at Amber behind the bar and gives her an upnod. "Do you think you could get me a beer, chummer?"

Ducii blinks at Amber a few times, looking stumped. "Uh... the drink," she says slowly. "They have that magazine in Rhy'din?" Duci asks, sounding surprised. Then again, it is Rhy'din. Anything is possible.

Corina?s surprise is a little different, "Magazines exist?" To her it was positively archaic

Corina Moceanu

?I dunno. I finded some paper books wif pictures and a lady said they was magazines, and another man told me magazines held weapon stuff. I dunno.? Amber replied.

Ducii beams for Amber as she prepares her drinks, and she rifles through her clutch. Retrieving a few gold, she plops them on the bar top in exchange for her three Cosomos. Greedily, she takes each Cosmo and places two on the bar top, preserving the third to sip from happily. "Many thanks, Amber! And I understand." She nods sagely at her before looking to Corina with a dumbfounded look. "What do you mean 'magazines exist'?!" she asks, looking perplexed.

Corina tilted her head, "Where I am from, everything is electronically delivered."

?Electree? Is a kind of magic, right?? Amber inquired.

"Well, isn't it still a magazine even if it is electronic?" she inquires, blinking some more at Corina. Then she giggles, sipping idly from her drink as she glances at Amber. "You could say that."

Corina gave Amber a look, "Machines and computers." Oh yeah, this place was a culture trip.

?We gots as wind up karoke machine; I might rent it for next week, if folks want.? Amber volunteered.

Blair grins, listening to this conversation back and forth, letting out a giggle at Corina's look as she sits up, sitting Indian-style on the countertop. "You get used to it. There're computers and other machines here, too, you just have to know where to look."

Corina raked a hand through her ebony mop. "I guess so. I came in by the starport..."

"Ooh, karaoke?" Ducii squeals, lowering her glass a bit. "That could be lots of fun..." She lifts a finger, tapping at her chin thoughtfully. Peers over at Corina and her companion. "Do you know what karaoke is?" Now she thinks they're foreign, as perhaps not smart.

"I've read about it in some of the historical archives." Corina said softly.
?I come here via the sea boat port; but I was knocked out asleep so I would not be too afraid.? Amber stated.

Ducii stares at Corina a moment. "Oh, girlfriend, I'm going to have to take you out one of these days!" Ducii finally exclaimes, cheekily grinning at the woman. She leans forward in her stool, extending a hand in greeting. "I'm Duci."

Corina shakes that hand, "Corina Moceanu... Captain of the GTVA Perses."

A muscle twitched in her jaw when she heard Perses, as it reminded her of her own space days. Her smile, however, never faltered as she shook Corina's hand firmly before releasing it. "Pleasure to meet you Corina! So you are new here, then?" she tilts her head, blonde curls splashing over her shoulder as she lifts the glass to her lips for a sip.

Corina nodded to that question, "Obvious, huh?"

Umber glances around Corina to Veighn with a raised brow before she smiles for Corina. "Hey, most of us start out new here. I was new once, too. So I know how you feel. It's weird, isn't it?" Duci asks, as she comes from a more advanced world, too, just not as advanced as Corina's.

Corina chuckled, "Should be used to this by now. Been doing the exploration thing for 6 years now."

"It never gets old," Ducii responds seriously, before pressing her lips back to the glass for another sip.

Corina took a deep drink of the beer. It was her second and she was feeling a little buzzed. She glanced up to Blair, "(vq) This place is strange."

Ducii grins at Corina over her shoulder as she deposits her glass on the counter. "You get used to it?

Blair smiles, nodding at that, looking around. "Yeah, it is, a bit. But if you think this is strange, chummer, you ain't seen nothin'."

Corina mutters, "(vq) I work with what can be termed aliens. I should be used to strange..." She chuckled a bit though. She watches Clair haul Amber out... "Lucky girl."

"This is similar to Karaoke!" Ducii exclaims excitedly to Corina, pointing wildly to Eris as she begins singing. "She's just missing the music, and the little screen with the lyrics on them!" Her head bounces up and down several times with gusto before she finally takes a sip from her drink.

Corina finished that mug of beer off feeling pleasantly buzzed. About the best she's felt in a long time... Saying a lot there. "I don't want to go back to the ship tonight."

Ducii shakes her head. "Pfft, boys." Grumble, mumble. Douses her thoughts in her drink before peering back over at Corina and her companion. "Why do you need to go back to the ship?"

Corina murmured, "I'm the Captain... Admiral'll have my arse in the sling if I don't."

Ducii raises a brow at Corina. "Ooh, you're the big man on campus, huh?" she teases, catching Eris in her peripheral in amusement.

There was a bit of a grin, Corina was a bit less inhibited. "Second in command of the fleet." She rubbed at her eyes, "Sometimes I think I made the wrong choice."

"Regret the responsibility that comes with the pay raise?" Ducii asks in a knowing tone, though by the look on her face it was obvious she was impressed nevertheless. A smile creeps upward as she draws from her glass again.

Blair looks back over at Corina, turning in place to face her from her position on top of the bar. "Why do you say that?"

Corina shrugged, "Not the responsibility. The personal sacrifices... stuff you gotta give up." She looked at that mug.

Overhearing Tara, Ducii looks to the door and waves wildly. "Oh, hello Tara!" Big, dimpled smile for her friend. Glancing to Corina as she lowers her arm. "That's my friend Tara!" Point, obviously excited, though she nods in understanding. "ah, yes, thaaat part." Clucks her tongue and shrugs again.

Blair regards Corina for a long, thoughtful moment, her finger tapping lightly at her lips. "You know, a friend of mine once taught me that nothing in life can be achieved with some sort of sacrifice, and while that sacrifice may seem like a huge loss at the time, it almost always leads to something better in the end. Only that better something is found where you never think to look for it."

Tara moves forth through the tavern, negotiating a path to the icebox through the various bodies, tables and chairs, and flipping her black hair over her shoulder, which is tied up in a ponytail of barbs and thorns, smiles at Duci:: (s) Greetings

Ducii draws from her glass contently, nosily eavesdropping on Blair and Corina's conversation. Her head nods in agreement before she is distracted by the fiery vampiress Tara. Toothy grin for her dear friend. "Hi Tara! You look lovely as always. How was your day?"

Corina looked up at Blair and looked thoughtful at that. "I think about it alot. Still find I'd make the same choices. Once in a lifetime opportunity... and here I am."

"Oh, Tara!" she exclaims unexpectedly, pointing to Corina as she is suddenly reminded of something. "She doesn't know what karaoke is! Do you know any good places around town with karaoke? I'm totally thinking of doing a ladies' night!"

Tara, using the cat-o-nine as an extra appendage, snaps it up toward her favored chalice and then somehow brings that same drinking vessel down to the counter without it shattered. The whip is then returned to her side. She fills it with a black liquid that is in a bottle which no label while she responds to Ducii. ?I began my day by battling Minos over the fate of a sinner. I won. He's pissed over that. Then Medusa an' I had a friendly came of hide an' go seek where we allowed a sinner to hide an' if we couldn't find them they could go free. That hasn't happened yet. Then I had sex with Satan for three hours an' now I am here.? She squints then. Duci might notice there's something odd about this incarnation of Tara. ?Karaoke??

Ducii blinks, watching Tara with unfounded awe. "Wow, sounds far more interesting than my day!" Then blinks again, tilting her head at Tara and scrutinizing her a moment. "Yes... Karaoke. You know, when they sing to music?" She tries motioning with her hands, using one fist as a microphone and mouthing some words. She didn't actually attempt singing. It might take her a moment to notice the difference in Tara. She's slow on the uptake some days.

?The only music I hear is that of the siren's call an' the never-ending moans of lamentation from the depths of the realm in which I am Queen. I know not this ?Karaoke?.?

Corina had to school her face neutral at the conversation. Oh boy, was culture shock setting in hardcore.

Blair smiles, leaning forwards towards Corina, folding her hands together and interlacing her fingers. "You've made it this far, haven't you? And what is it you were looking for by coming?"

Corina looked back up at Blair. "I ... " The voice drops a bit low, "(vq) Companionship... maybe for once not to be alone."

Blair smiles, tilting her head slightly. "The same thing that so many of us desire. A lovely lady like you, I imagine, should have little trouble."

Corina shook her head and chuckled ruefully, "Water, Water everywhere and not a drop to drink." The look was sad, "I am surrounded... and yet Duty... and the fact I don't think anyone sees me as anything other than their Captain or a friend."

"Yeah, that can be the hard part about being in the military, and having rank...and being a woman, at times." Blair sighs, blowing a stray strand of long blond hair out of her eyes. "Probably the problem is you need to get away from what you're familiar with and look someplace you hadn't thought of before."

Corina spread her hands with displaying that black velvet dress. "Here I am...."

Blair laughs softly, shaking her head. "Yeah, but I don't see you looking." She reaches out and pokes Corina right in the chest. "You're focusing on yourself, not what's around you."

Corina arched a brow with a wiry smile... Then looked around. "I see, people, aside from you in their own groups." She looked back at Blair.

Blair grins. "Oh, I'm in a class by myself, chummer. Besides, most people tend not to like me." She takes her hand back, pretending to examine her fingernails. "I must need charm lessons or something."

Corina chuckles, "Or they are blind." There was a bit of a grin on lips, the buzz was wearing itself off.

Blair laughs at that, shaking her head. "I had a guy come on to me once here, but he was...less than charmed with my response." She grins impishly. "Apparently the three fractured fingers wounded his pride."

"Well, hell, not everyone is open to some stranger coming up to them in a bar." Corina shrugged, "A lady has got to be able to protect herself."

The bleeping of an incoming alert on her datapad interrupted the conversation. She made her excuses and headed outside where a shuttle craft had touched down in the clearing. She boarded the craft and listened to the sit-op briefing as the shuttle streaked back to the Perses.

The pilot and the marine that accompanied her had to pick up their jaws from the deck. Then again, they rarely saw the Captain in anything but her uniform.

(The following posts were taken from Live RP.)

Corina nudged her way into the inn. A long day on the bridge and she was looking to unwind away from the crew. Today, she hadn't bothered changing out of her duty uniform. She was comfortable as she was dress with blaster on her hip. The Tank and pant in a steel camo pattern.

?The blue hair chick kept saying I had to join Treemma on a journey and see.? Kate shrugged, ?No idea but he was tripping.?

"Yeah well, who ever she was, was peddling some nasty stuff..." Galen looks to the door, nodding the slightly worn out looking woman. He also takes a moment to admire as well.

Kate rolled her eyes and thwapped Galen on the head.

Galen's eyes were torn away and back to the Nymph, tilting his head. He was trying to figure it out. The problem was something simple - he knew it. Galen's eyes bugged out at the thwap - he'd hoped she hadn't seen that...

Shifting around on the couch in attempts to find some comfort but Kai eventually settles and sighs. Tucking herself into the arm she watched Kate thwap Galen. This got a squint-stare out of the water maiden. ?Don't hit him.?

Corina arched a brow at the man getting thwapped. There was a bit of a chuckle as she scooted around the bar. She wanted a beer. She also didn't see the girl from the other night. She dropped a few chits past the till viper and headed for a table.

Kate sighs, ?(m) Wonderful.?

Galen tries to keep focused on the nymph but there was that new body moving past. He licks his lips - Did she know she moved like that? He shakes head and tries to focus on the problem with nymph - Right... needs fixing... "No, I deserved the hit..." Even he knew that.

Kate leans away from Galen, ?Ok, I have to go, phone calls to make, people to yell at.? She kisses his cheek, ?I'll see you later tonight ok??

Corina dropped into a chair and kicked her booted feet up onto the table. The Beer was opened and a long pull taken.

Galen was not even trying the Jack Sparrow 'I'm not sure I deserved that' First, he knew... Now if he could just keep from getting... He kisses her cheek back. "Definitely..." He nods.

Kai blinked when Kate kissed Galen and her head tilted to one side. Which continued until her head met the couch.*

Kate lifts a hand to the others in the room as she heads toward the kitchen and through that small door in the back, ?Vale.?

Galen eyed Kai, then it struck him... "The moon!" Then he made a face. Lord if that was it... He looked to Kai. "You're pretty tired and feeling weak, aren't you?"

Nina turned back around to her rose and pried it loose from the counter top, leaving a bit of a crater in the wood. "Oops," she sang. Then she fluttered her wings as hard as she could, carrying the flower over to Kai... It was difficult, since the thing was larger than herself.

Waving to Kate, Kai looked at Galen. ?Huh? Y-yeah...? She did tell him it was sort of normal. Not that it was all the time and was getting better. Her attention turned on the fairy carrying the flower to her? She sat up and offered both her hands for the fairy and flower.

Galen's outburst did not go unnoticed. The fledgling who had been napping was making a raucous whine at being woken. He reached down and winced at the fledgling settling, stroking her through the fabric of her shirt.

Corina Moceanu

Date: 2010-04-19 23:10 EST
Nina dropped the rose in the girl's palms and sat on her fingers, panting. "Phew!" she said in a breathy voice. "Nina made you a rose!"

?For me? Really? That's so nice and sweet of you! Thank you Miss Fairy-person.? Kai didn't want to disturb the fairy's rest too much so lowered her cupped hands to her lap thus effectively keeping the fairy's perch and cradling the rose. ?I like flowers.?

Yeah, she had... But Galen still hadn't made a connection to it until now. Well that, at least, made him feel semi better. Yet now he had ideas. There was a stone and a necklace - hmmm.

Nina smiled at the girl, catching her breath a bit more. "Nina likes flowers too," she said quietly.

Corina had dozed off for a few minutes, indulging in a small cat nap. The beer had been placed on the table.

Now that he wasn't in danger of being thwapped, Galen stood and made his way over to the table that Corina had been sitting at. Pausing to see her napping, he grunted as he grabbed the bulge in his shirt, wincing. "Storm!" That was getting annoying...

Then Nina's attention was caught by the sunlight coming through the window. "Pretty day!" She said excitedly. "Nina is going to play!" She stood. "Feel better," she said, fluttering up to give the girl a tiny kiss on the cheek.

That outburst startled Corina awake. Startled means that hand was now near her sidearm. "Ugh..." She grunted and arched a look at the man.

?Nina?? Head tilting, Kai peered closely at the fairy. A blink fluttered her lashes when she was kissed. She had never been kissed and she squeaked out. Giggling she smiled and watched the fairy depart. Lowering her eyes she toyed with the rose. She had noticed that Galen was preoccupied so the subject of her well being was left alone. She wasn't use to anyone caring anyhow so it was easy to do.

Galen sighs and holds his hands up, seeing the pistol, holstered or not. He recognized the reflex. "Sorry, I was going to come over and talk. Noticed you were asleep and then the brat decided she needed attention." He was really trying not to admire the view form this angle too much but it was a little difficult.

Corina arched a brow and eased her hand from her blaster. "Hmm, Always trying to sneak up on women that are alone?"

Eye contact... that was the key... Galen chuckles, "Well... I... ummm... yeah probably..." Why try lying?

Corina chuckled and moved one leg down to kick out a chair. "Even those that are visibly armed?"

"Yeah... I seemed to have missed that part." He'd been kind of occupied. Moving over to the offered chair, Galen smiled as he settled down into it. One hand disappeared into the front of his shirt to stroke at the bulge of the fledgling there. Yes... keep eye contact.

Corina watched the hand, "Some sort of cat or something?"

Galen chuckled softly, "Ummm, or something...? He leans back a little, flinching as his hand is latched onto. As he gets his fingers under the black scaled thing and pulls out the fledgling dragon. The Dragon clung fiercely to his hand, looking around. Then spotting the other woman, arched her neck, the sides puffing out sort of like a cobras and hissed slightly at her, digging those claws in even more. Wincing, ?This is Baby Storm and she's territorial." His other hand going to the top of the fledgling and stroking her neck. "Shhh, you're gonna have to figure out that people are not out to steal daddy away."

The eyes widen just a hair. "That's... a dragon?" Expression on Corina's face, priceless.

Kai tried not to listen to the only two active voices in the inn. Curling up she shifted and pressed into the couch. Face pressed into the cushion, the rose held close to her chest.

Galen swallows the laugh but features can't be schooled enough to keep his lips form twitching. Breathe... Yeah, that's it. Just a couple of breaths... He didn't snort at least "Yes, she is." The fledgling had grabbed a rubber ring out of the shirt and was now chewing on it. She was looking intently at the woman with swirling emerald eyes.

Corina blinked a bit then looked at the man trying not to laugh her. She crossed her arms in front of her and humphed. "I can't help it that I'm new on this thrice blasted planet."

"No... No... Please, don't get upset. It's just that, you're the first one that's actually reacted that way to seeing her. Everyone else is like, 'Oh you got one of them huh?' or something like that. So, it's rather nice." Smiling openly, then leaning forward slightly, keeping the fledgling trapped between his hands. "If you move slowly, I think I can get her to let you pet her."

Corina uncurled a bit and tentatively reached out to stroke those scales. "They are a legend on my world."

There was a bit of hesitation and even a growl, but a stroke of the head and some scratching of an eye ridge settled the baby contentedly. The creature feeling a little like soft leather then scaled at the moment. "Yeah, I've heard of worlds that don't have or lost their dragons. I can't imagine it myself, but then again, I'd probably be a little bit of a legend as well. Hey Kai, Com'ere," He nodded for the childlike nymph to come over and stop being a couch potato.

Corina murmured, "The Terran Worlds have the legends of Sol. Vasudans have their own legends." The fingers slowly stop and withdraw.

Kai had every reason to be a couch potato! At her name both eyes turned. Apparently she had fallen asleep. Looking over to Galen she gave a sleepy look. ?Huh??

Galen smiles to Corina, nodding, nodding. "I've heard of Sol once or twice. Is it true what they say about it?"

Corina tilted her head in question, "What's that?"
Galen then turned to Kai, "Come over here and stop being lazy," Teasing the little girl, smiling as he held up Storm a little. "I want you to babysit for a little bit while I dazzle the beautiful woman here with my prowess." Then he looked to Corina. "Well, actually..." There was a sheepish grin.

Corina arched a slender brow at that. "Already trying to dazzle me? Forgetting a few steps there?"

"I've heard. Well that it had exploded or that it is hopelessly covered in acid clouds or that some other race took it over... So I'm hoping someone can tell me something more, well true." Galen then blinks, ?What steps?" There was honest confusion on his face... There were other steps?

There was a visible frown at being called lazy. Uncurling off the couch, Kai stood slowly and did as she was told. It was a very slow process getting from the couch and near the table. A shy little smile was offered to Corina before she looked at Galen. She was actually rather hurt he called her lazy.

Corina shook her head, "Couldn't tell you. The Jump node to Sol was cut off in the last Great War." She chuckled at Galen, "Name would be nice."

Corina Moceanu

Date: 2010-04-19 23:12 EST
Galen sighed and leaned down to Kai, smiling and kissing her forehead. "You're not lazy, but it got you moving." He blinks, Oh yeah, names. Everyone already knew him. "Well, sorry that people had war. Told you about me already..." She was armed after all, no need to make her reach for the pistol again. "I'm Galen and this is Storm," Holding up his hand, then smiling to put the fledgling into Kai's arms, still chewing the rubber ring. "And this little one is Kai." It was a pity about the info. Oh well. He'd have to just rely on information.

Corina nodded, "I'm Corina Moceanu, Captain of the GTVA Perses."

Eventually Kai was going to start kicking people for treating her like a child. She was innocent of the world not a kid. Blinking at the kiss to her forehead she almost dutifully took the fledgling. Arms cradled the dragonlet gently. A polite and cheerful touched smile was shot towards Corina. Unfortunately Galen wasn't given the same. Yep, he wasn't helping himself any.

Corina smiled back to Kai, "A pleasure."

Galen blinks and thinks her words over. He then asks, "Like... a space ship?" He looked to Kai. {i]Yeah, sure... But she was dealing with a old ferret who liked to father people. She was going to deal with it and kicking would just get a tickling from him.

Corina chuckled, "Yes, a space ship." She grinned at Galen.

"Oooo... Okay you'll have to take me to see sometime." He said nodding as if this was a given.

Corina looked amused at that, "I'm sure the Admiral would have my arse in a sling."

?Nice to meet you, Captain Corina.? With fledgling in tow, Kai moved away so Galen could commence his wooing. Petting Storm's head, she didn't move far. Just sat herself right back on the couch and faced so that the hatchling could see where Galen was and didn't flip out. Setting the fledgling on her lap she started to pet the scaly back.

Corina smiled at that, "Just call me Cori."

"Ah, but that's the beauty of it. They don't actually have to see me." He put his hand on the middle of the table and leaned forward. He then melted into a small black ferret, only eight inches long with those same blue eyes were still there. The green streaks that had been in his hair were a bit more pronounced in that fur. Sitting up, "See? I can hide quite easily."

Commence the bugged out look, "Ummm, okay." A hand came up to brush through Corina's black locks.

"You can hide me in your shirt and I can see everything just fine." He said matter of factually as if there wasn't a problem in the world with this idea.

One weirded out Starship Captain coming up. "Umm, Yeah, for you maybe."

Kai eyed Galen and suddenly things were placed together. Eyes rolled and she looked down to the hatchling, head shaking. Calmly she scratched the scales.

Galen blinked, looking at her. "What? There's a problem?" Yeah, Kai figured him out already.

Corina dropped a look on him, "It's just an excuse for you to get down my shirt." She eyed him warily. She wasn't stupid.

Damn... he should have snuck up on it more. "Ummm... that obvious?"

Corina leveled the ferret a look, "I can't tell you how many worlds I've had some male trying to get down my shirt."

?At least he didn't get pie all over you.? Yeah figured out. Placing the rose near Storm's snout, Kai sank down more into the couch until she was laying down, curled up around the fledgling.*

Yeah, that obvious was her answer to him. Oh yeah, pie... There was an idea. There was a sparkle in Galen's eyes.

Corina eyed Galen, "Don't encourage him." Just her luck...

?If he tries we can show-? Kai pointed down to the fledgling. ?She can chase him around attempting to clean or eat him.?

Corina picked up her beer and took a long pull on it, "There's also the nearest Airlock."

Galen didn't need encouragement but he'd behave - for now. He moved back and melted into his human form. He then stuck his tongue out at Kai Childishly. Looking back to Cori, "Hmmm, no that wouldn't exactly stop me. At least, once I've been inside the ship."

Corina arched him a look. Her luck was that she'd find a lech on her shore leave. "I'll tell Minotaur to get ready for target practice."

And Kai stuck her tongue right on back. Yes, childish as it was he simply deserved it. Head turning sharply to spill the golden hair over the couch she laid her head down on the cushion and resumed petting the small dragon. She was finally okay with the smaller scaled beasts. The big ones still, not so much.

"Minotaur? You got one of them on your ship but you thought dragon's were a myth?" Galen was confused.

Corina laughed, "No, that's the call name our Fighter Commander flies by." That and she's already seen a Minotaur in the flesh.

"Oh, okay. Well, Still I wouldn't be outside for very long.? Galen grinned as he flashed over to the couch, hugged Kai tightly. "I'm sorry," He kissed her cheek then flashed back over to his chair. "Once I've been someplace, it makes it easy for me to get back there.?

Corina nodded a bit. She was a bit perplexed by the evidence of magic and fantastical creatures. She took another long pull on the beer.

That delicate face of Kai's scrunched up and she swallowed back the cry. Hurting body thank you! Then again he wouldn't know that. Slumping down back into the couch when he was gone she buried her face against the fledgling.

"So why couldn't I visit the ship?" Galen was a bit perplexed on that note. He then blinks looking at the nymph, apparently she was keeping things form him. She hadn't told him that she hurt.

Corina sighed softly, "We are a military vessel not a pleasure ship."

"Uh... okay..." Galen replied nodding. Though he wasn't entirely sure he did understand. At least not having been part of the military. Corina knew it was an excuse to get down her shirt.

Storm was given a handful of pats then her hand was still so the fledgling could sleep undisturbed.

"I have regulations I have to enforce and that includes bringing Civilians onto a military ship. It's not happening." Corina was adamant about that.

Storm was cooing happily at the petting while Galen tried to think of another route. "Honestly, no one would hardly notice me." He really wanted to visit but yes, the down the shirt was still focused on. He thinks it over. "Ferrets don't count as civilians do they?"

Corina arched a brow at him, "Ferrets are a whole another matter. Would have to be Quarantined, Decontaminated, studied..."

Galen winced. It sounded like scientist stuff, he hated scientists. "They'd have to know?"

The door is shouldered open my Blair, dressed for the evening tonight in a long-sleeved black dress that hugs her shape, trimmed in gold fabric at her sides, coming down to about mid-thigh, with black heels trimmed in silver, her long blonde hair hanging straight and free.

"I go through Security screenings like everyone else." She shook her head, "The Egg-heads would snatch you up in a heartbeat."

?Studied? Snip snip?? Kai tried to hide her face behind Storm a bit more. Yes she was grinning.

Galen shivers, remembering being poked and prodded once before. His eyes narrowed and looked over to the couch. He'd tickle her ? later. He then grins brightly, ?But small mementos are allowed right?"

Was Corina being deliberately cruel? Why yes, yes, she was. The Lech routine didn't help his cause. Eyes wandered to Blair as she entered and she let out a wolf whistle in appreciation.

Galen looks back over his shoulder and blinks... More eye candy... Crap... He was in trouble...

"Momentos, eh? Like what?" Corina asked skeptically.

Distraction - this was good. Mementos? Oh Yeah. Hidden in his shirt one wing of his tattoo detached itself slightly enough for him to pull a feather by reaching over a shoulder in his shirt. He then pulls it forward. "Like a feather." It was maybe two inches long, jet black with an emerald tip.

Corina arched a brow at the feather, "What's the catch?"

Blair grins as she walks behind the bar and reaches into the cooler. Pulling out a Badsider for herself, she slips back out again; her hips swaying with each step. Nothing purposeful, but noticeable nonetheless, as she makes her way over to Cori's table. "Hey there." She looks her up and down, her lips curving upwards in that ready smile. "Nice outfit."

New voice got Kai's attention and her head slowly raised to peer over the fledgling.

"No catch..." Galen replied, not telling the whole truth. He was good at that. "Just a token to remember me by?"

Corina was leaning back in her chair with her feet kicked up and talking to Galen. Peeking out of her glove on her left bicep with the hint of ink. She arched a look at Galen. "With as determined as you are to get on the ship, one would think you are a spy or something." She knew it wasn't likely, but she was going to bust his gonad's a bit. She smiled up at Blair, "Hey there, Gorgeous outfit."

Galen snorts, making a face, "No one would believe me anyway." He'd dug quite a lot of holes for himself and it wasn't going to be easy for him to get back in a lot of people's good graces. He agreed with both of ladies - they were both very nice outfits. Galen was staring again.

Lucky Kai was to have fallen asleep and didn't have to witness Galen digging himself his hole. Fledgling tucked under arm and shoulder as if it was a stuffed bear, the two of them were having a nap.

Corina chuckled softly, "I can't bring you on board, and that's the final decision."

"Okay..." Galen held out the feather. "Has nothing to do with the feather though." Okay, that was technically a lie but it wasn't her actually bringing him on board.

Corina arched a brow and took the feather. She studied it carefully.

It appeared to be a regular ordinary feather. Galen had worked long and hard at looking innocent. Especially with people that had weapons. Though he did cast an eye to the one in the dress a moment to look her up and down again.

The feather was set down on the table and one leg came down to nudge a chair out for Blair. Corina then kicked the leg back up

With a thud of boots, the demon (Lang) appeared in the rafters with him landing in a crouch. Golden eyes sweeping over those below for a few moments, as his tail thrashed around behind him.

The thud had Cori's eyes looking to the rafters. It took her a bit to not react. Culture shock and all.

Blair grins, walking over to the chair and taking a seat. "Hmm, thank you. Like yours too." She chuckles, raising the beer bottle to her lips and taking a long drink of it.

Corina looked back to Blair with a grin, "This is the *just off work and too damn tired to dress up.*"

Galen looks over at Kai. Then thinks things over and nods. "If I can excuse myself a moment..." At least it was already charged and set in a small necklace.

Corina nodded to Galen, "Sure."

After a few moments, the demon rose to his full height before moving along the rafter beams. With a pause over the area behind the bar, dropping down long enough to snag a few Badsiders from the cooler. Then back up into the rafters, it was always safer up there.

Galen vanishes in a small ball of green fire.

Lang took a sip of the first badsider, as he watched those that remained in the inn.

Corina sighed softly, "My luck."

Galen didn't stay gone for long and as he reappeared in the inn. He settled on the couch. Smiling, he rested a hand on Kai's shoulder, "Hey Kai..."

Blair watched Galen vanish, well aware of his eyes watching her. There was an amused grin on her lips as she takes a drink of her beer and sets the bottle on the table, chuckling. "Poor boy... I thought his eyes were going to pop right out of his head."

Corina finished her beer, "Meet one of the local lech's... Galen." That was her luck. "Spent more time trying to weasel his way into my shirt."

"Most guys here wouldn't know what to do with a real woman. " Lang added his two cents from his perch.

Corina looked to the one in the rafters, "Yourself included, big boy?"

"Happily married." Lang's gaze moved to Corina.

Corina chuckled about to kick her feet off the table for another beer, "Oh good, at least your not another lech."
Lang chuckled to that. "I grew out of that phase when I met my wife. "

She kicked those boots down to the floor and rose to stand gracefully. She moved with a bit of a prowl and the blaster on her hip completed the picture.

Blair grins as she looks around at Lang, offering him a bit of a smile and an upnod. "Demon, huh?"

Galen's eyes turned to look over and follow Corina's movements. oh darn...

Lang gave an upnod in return to Blair. "That I am. Pleasure to meet you two ladies." Saluting the two with his bottle.

Corina made it around the bar to grab another beer. She looked up to check on Blair's bottle and grabbed a bowl of munchies. She had wanted to get off the ship bad enough that she didn't stop by mess.

"The name's Lang.. " He offered freely to Corina and Blair.

Corina saluted with her beer as she carried her stuff back to the Table. "Corina."

Galen came back to the table in hi ferret form.

Blair picks up her beer and tosses Lang a salute with it. "Blair."

Lang took another sip of his beer, as the introductions were done. Which was followed by a scan of the commons. "Who's the leach? "

Corina settled down into the chair and kicked her feet on up on the other chair. She was getting a bit comfy without putting her boots in Blair's face.

Blair laughs at that. "If you mean 'lech,' as in 'lecherous pig,' that would be the chummer with the x-ray eyes." She gestures to Galen.

"I do not have xray eyes!" He exclaimed, notice he didn't deny the lech part.

Corina chuckled at the description, "Yeah, that sounds about right."

Lang's gaze moved to the one pointed out for a moment, followed by a sip of the beer again. "He looks like one." The demon knows these things.

Galen blinks as he pointed himself out again.

"You two can easily solve that problem." Lang said to Corina and Blair, as he made a chopping motion at groin level.

Galen gave a ferrety flip of the bird to the one in the rafters while grumbling. The demon merely smirked to the flipping of the bird.

Blair grins, and despite the youthfulness of her face, there's a distinctly predatory look to the smile. "Oh, I know. But I wouldn't want to diminish what little pride he might have." There is a definite emphasis on the word 'little.'

Now that got Lang to laugh. "You have a point there."

Corina chuckled Softly behind her beer. Galen was licking his chops and plotting.

"Might explain all his huffing and puffing." Lang added in for reaction.

Blair laughs at that. "They say the truth cuts deeper than any blade."

Galen snorts, "I do not... Well - actually." He melts into his wolf form, not really imposing either. "I do a really good big bad wolf impersonation."
"You dry hump air when you see a foxy lady?" Lang said to Galen.

Blair's about to take a drink of her beer, and fortunately had not gotten as far as swallowing, since she'd be choking on it now, she's laughing so hard.

Galen snorts, then shifts back into his ferret form. He's scurrying past the table and into the kitchen.

"You drool all over the floor?" Lang catcalled to the now fleeing Galen.

Corina chuckled and used the bottle to hide behind. There was a nudge to Blair, "Wonder if his wife knows he's providing commentary about other men."

Blair manages to recover a bit, still chuckling, shaking her head. "Oh, it's a shame he's married."

Lang grinned down to Blair and Corina. Then a glance to Blair, as the comment got his attention as well.

Corina took a quick drink of beer, "Oh is it?"

Lang took a sip of his beer as he waited for Blair's explanation.

Blair grinned. "Attractive with an attitude, just like I like 'em." She winks at Cori.

"So, if the shenanigans are over..." Galen's voice came from the window for passing food from kitchen to bar, "? Since I'm cooking something up, does anyone else want something?" He was peeved but he didn't think it polite to eat food when others might be hungry.

Corina chuckled softly, "Then yeah, it is a shame. But then I'm not into one nighters." She took another drink and called out toward the kitchen, "Sure Galen."

Lang chuckled to that. "Most would call it me being an asshole." To Blair, before looking to Galen. "You were in there a long time... Getting your rocks off?" He catcalled, smirking again.

Blair looks over at Galen, that smart-assed smile on her face. "That would explain why he's hungry."

"No I started cooking already, furr brain." Galen retorted.

"First time I've heard cooking used as an excuse." Lang mused.

Galen turned to Cori, "Preference?"

Corina shook her head, "Anything is better than the food in the mess, surprise me."

"He might try to drug it." Lang took a sip and smiled.

Galen laughs as he moved away from the window.

Corina chuckled at that, "I'm sure someone will ride to my rescue." The tone was a bit sardonic.

"Never know in this town. Some of the so called heroes tend to fall flat on their faces." Lang replied, shrugging lightly.

There is some sizzling, the scent of cooking beef, a clang of a pot and then a curse as something hits the floor.

Corina mutters, "I trust my men over any heroes this town has to offer."

"Stop picturing these two ladies giving you a lap dance in there! It's not going to happen!" Laang called out towards the kitchen to the racket.

There was no answer to the taunt but another look to Blair from Galen, "Last call, wouldja like something?"

Lang had another sip of his Badsider, draining it then tossed towards the nearest trash can. Shaking his head for a moment, as he plucked up the other bottle he stole. Top popped off before flinging the cap towards the trash. ?Start off the night acting like a lech, then try to butter women up by cooking." Mused into the bottle.

Galen snorted in response, "Once a lech always a Lech... but I can still be polite."

"A horny wolf that dry humps air at the first sight of lovely women." Lang retorted casually towards Galen.
Going back to work, making up the food, if not eaten Galen could take it home.

Lang's gaze moved to the newcomer for a few moments, then back to the others.

Galen takes a moment to clean up his mess, well, at least get things into the sink to soak. Then out he comes with three plates, each one with a burger on it, fries and topped in the usual additions though condiments or cheese, just to be on the safe side. Sets the two down on the table, and then turns and sits at the counter. Deciding for now to focus on the meal.

Corina shook her head having been lost a moment and kicked her feet down so she could eat. Real burgers, Yay!

"Ho hum." Lang mused as he continued to remain on his high perch.

Corina was a women with a few simple pleasures. She set up her burger with cheese and the condiments of her choice. She nudged her foot into Blair's a moment.

Blair looks up at the nudge, looking at the burger, and shakes her head. "I wouldn't trust him not to have slipped something funny into that... I only trust the food I cook."

Corina went to eating her food, the stomach rumbling, "Good, Then I can be the test bunny and you can haul my ass to the shuttle." She grinned.

Blair chuckles at that, raising an eyebrow at that and nodding. "All right, then, you have a deal."

Corina grinned and ate the meal with no apparent ill effects so far. "Pretty decent. Gonna have to get off the ship more." She looked over to the man at the hearth. "(vq) Not bad." She could look... She knew touching was an entirely different matter. She turned back to the fries on her plate, dipping them in Ketchup. Still no ill effects from the food. "I declare this safe."

Blair is making her own appraisal of the man at the hearth, her crystal-blue eyes looking him over very closely. Nothing lascivious, mind you, but more...cool, assessing. A faint distance there in her eyes as she looks, before finally turning back to Cori with a smile again. "Well, you don't seem to be falling into a coma or anything..."

Corina took a pull of her beer, she considered mischief, but she was a lousy actress. "No Fatigue, no slurring of words. " She looked thoughtful and then tosses a fry at Blair with a grin.

Blair grins. "Oh, well. So much for me taking advantage of you while you were unconscious." The words are said with dramatically overstated disappointment before she laughs, catching the fry nimbly in midair.

Corina chuckled softly, "Promises, Promises." She quipped back, though the eyes were thoughtful at that.

Blair laughs softly, raising an eyebrow at Cori as she drains the last of her beer and sets the bottle down. Her voice is almost singsong as she speaks back. "Be careful what you wish for..."

Corina finished off her own beer, "Ummhmm." That was the very eloquent reply to that. Then she said softly, "(vq) Something I've not considered at all."

Blair chuckles at that, a slow grin on her lips as she licks them. (vq) "Enjoyable for some, but not all."

Corina had a serious look on her face, thinking, "(vq) Never had the... opportunity." She had wanted to meet up with her new friend again, but that thought hadn't crossed until now. And now it was hard to discount.

Blair smiles, her hand reaching out lazily to graze long, lacquered fingernails against the back of Cori's hand. (vq) "Or really even considered it, I'll bet."

Corina didn't pull that hand away, "To put a fine point to it, no." There was a rueful smile on those lips. Even today, she had a light bit of makeup. There was an internal debate of sorts, yet the hand being touched, turned over, palm up. The look in those Dark Blue eyes considering.

The fingernails move and graze very lightly against Cori's palm as Blair watches her, her blue eyes bold and straightforward, frankly watching.

The dark meets the light, "(vq) Just gotta ask..." The lips quirk, "(vq) Be patient with me..."

Blair smiles, letting her nails fall into a deeper graze of Cori's palm, sighing gently. (vq) "Patience is one of my few virtues." She grins, stretching languidly for a moment. (vq) "Perhaps it is something best...eased into..."

Corina half smiled, "(vq) Yeah... Was the thought." The look sobered a bit, "(vq) Hells, there's no way I can even promise that I'll be here long term." She wanted her cards on the table.

Blair smiles, tilting her head at that. (vq) "Then you make the most you can of the time you have."

Corina lifted her upturned hand to clasp hers the slow smile returning, "(vq) That sounds like a plan."

Blair's fingernails graze Corina's as she closes her fingers around the other girl's, a grin on her face. (vq) "We really do need to plan that 'girl's night out.'"

Corina laughed at that, "(vq) If only to make sure I'm not working that night."

Blair giggles at that, raising an eyebrow at Cori, leaning closer. (vq) "I can be patient, you know... If you would rather... Ease into things slowly."

There was a thoughtful look on Cori's face as she considered the woman she was with, "(vq) Not too slowly." There was a glimmer in her eyes. This was the same woman that accepted what was described to be a suicide mission. "(vq) No guts, no glory."

Blair laughs at that, her voice a soft peal almost like bells as she lets her head fall back. "Oh, I knew there was a reason I liked you..."

Corina grinned and chuckled at that, "The Size of my starship?" She quipped mischievously.

Blair chuckles, shaking her head. (vq) "I need to introduce you to some of my friends... I think they'd like you."

Corina grinned at that, "(vq) Remind me not to let you meet my twin."

Blair smiles, looking into Cori's eyes. (vq) "I'll tell you a secret... I am interested in both... Sexes... but I find women to be far more appealing. It's funny to say, but I've found women tend to be...stronger than men in many ways."

Corina smiled at Blair, "(vq) When you consider the BS we have to go through just to be on equal footing." She was a scrapper.

Blair grins at that, nodding. "Too true. But we do get there, don't we?"

Corina laughed softly, "That we do... Besides, it wouldn't be worth it if it was easy."

Blair grins, leaning still closer, her fingers moving in Corina's grip, that delicate brush of fingernails. "Nothing easy ever is really worth it."

Corina grinned a bit and leaned forward to touch nose to nose to Blair. "(vq) So how'd I end up so lucky."

Blair grins, nudging Cori's nose with her own, the movement just enough to brush her lips to Cori's ever so lightly. "Who said you were lucky? I could be a completely domineering b***h for all you know."

Corina brushed her lips lightly against Blair's, "(vq) Or worse, I could be one."

It was a lot to think on, Cori mused. She did want to explore this though. In all honesty, she liked Blair.

Looking at the time, the ladies parted company with another light kiss between them. Rather ironic was that Galen's feather was left on the table, forgotten.

(The following is adapted from Live RP courtesy of Runesael Vandoren, Haroldlee, Lang Darkwind & Blair Hildegarde)

Another long shift and Corina was entering the inn in her working uniform, bodysuit, matching jacket, gloves and boots. The Blaster on her leg and black hair in a ponytail completed the picture.

Runesael takes a slow breath, finds a glass, floats it into place in front of the man, and begins immediately scanning the shelves for a blue bottle of zinfandel. Finding it after about a half a minute of searching, she twists her hand so it floats down from its hiding place, minute twitches in fingers and shimmering runes uncorking the bottle and pouring the elf a glass.

Corina made her way over to the bar, skirting around bodies with the ease that comes from living on a starship. She found a stool and settled with a soft sigh. She looked around to see if there was a tender or if she was fending for herself.

Going back to tending the bar, Rune's long ears tip towards the demand of, "Birthday," and "Drink." There's a moment of a fierce, inhuman grin on the creature's lips. Runesael retrieves one of the glittering golden bottles from underneath the bar, and begins to mix something at actually smells quite lovely, and looks just as such. Tall, slender and quite androgynous, Runesael's pale hands work over the bottles nearby. They're getting more acquainted with where the bottles are, so it's becoming more a matter of the customer's taste in finding things. As for the gag, well, there's a drink on the bar counter, shoved towards Yejix anyway. Perhaps cultural differences have caused Runesael to miss the concept of a gag.

Corina blinked a bit, and waved down Runesael. She was patient though. She moved a stray strand out of her face. She sighed softly and leaned forward and just listened to the conversation around her. She looked around, occasionally looking toward the door.

Runesael blinks a few times, moving towards Corina, "What can I get for you? Apologies, being out of-..." and then stops, shakes its fluffy, dark head and grins half-heartedly. "Right. Sorry about the wait."

"A badsider would be appreciated, Nothing fancy." Corina replied warmly, yet tired.

Runesael moves quickly to flick open the icebox, sliding the beer towards Corina.

Corina caught the beer and tilted her head, "Thanks" She schooled her reactions neutral as she looked around again. She had hoped, but couldn't expect. The dark blue eyes turned back to the mirror behind the bar. She looked out of place with her uniform. She took a long pull on the beer. The eyes were about the only indication of how she was feeling. She could never truly school her emotions to hide.

Runesael's been spacing out behind the bar - and if anyone's asked for a drink, it's been delivered absently, probably with something odd like cherries or mint leaves in it. She meets Toby's eyes for a moment, her own shifting from grey to silver and into green in the space of about two seconds - just long enough to be decidedly weird. The tall Tern'drael's attention goes back to the bar, toward its many, many bottles of shiny.

Corina looked around again, "Are people always so... exclusive of new faces?" She had to ask.

Attention turned back towards Corina, having caught the woman's voice over the murmur of the crowd. "Generally, especially if they're sitting at the bar, not talking to anyone else staring at a Badsider," there's not really an edge of cynicism to Runesael's words, just more of an alien amusement.

Corina arched a brow, "Sorry I don't butt into other people's conversations." There was amusement in her voice.

Corina's comment does actually filter through to Harold. ?I think people are kinda used to-- the come and go, you know? Sorry if I ignored you. Blinded by a cute dragon.? He laugh and then 'Mery goes and asks the question Harold was thinking.

"Well, I think I was having a conversation with the bottles - they don't seem to mind," Runesael raises one dark, moth-wing brow upwards, ear tips trembling a bit at each sound. "Interruptions I mean, they don't mind interruptions. Actually. The rum might. That Malibu over there? Yeah, nasty bugger he is, really jealous of any sort of attention. That's why it's away from the rest of the bottles," A sage nod was given.

Corina raised her glass, "I'm sure it was very enlightening. I hear an Orc brews this." She holds up the bottle.

Runesael leans conspiratorially towards Corina, looking at the bottle of Malibu down the way, "I hear that vodka has a nasty temper."

With a hard thud of boots, the demon appeared in a more toned down form. That being his more humanish one. Decked out in his long dark red clothing, before he looked over those at or around the bar. As he was dropped by the Nexus on the counter.

Corina chuckled, "I hear the Tequila is rebellious."

"But sweet-natured," Runesael looks quite alarmed as a demon drops himself down on the bar. The air contorts around them for a moment and then settles, runes along hands and face shimmering back into a calm teal.

Corina arched a brow and then Smiled, "Lang..." She recognized the demon that had been dropped on the bar.

A woman, tall, blond and bold, pushes the alley door open dressed from head to toe in fire-engine red leather that hugs her form like a second skin, complete down to the heels on her feet. A smile on her lips as Blair walks through the place with a long, loping stride.

"Corina." Lang nodded to the woman, as he moved to sit down on the bar for now.

Attention turning back towards the woman's new companion, Runesael inclines their head lightly. "What can I get for you?"

The flash of red caught Corina?s eye, a smile crossing her lips as she recognized the blond entering.

Runesael looks somewhat ruffled at the demons appearance, though continues to tend the bar as required. Not really talking, just observing. Now and again, they hover near Aya and Kai, though Runesael doesn't seem to have much to say.

Corina noticed the change in Rune?s demeanor with Lang?s appearance, "He's mostly harmless." She smiled to Rune

"I don't bite?" Lang said, looking to Rune for a moment.

Runsael sticks her fingers up in a perfect Vulcan salute, and then flashes Aya the bunny ears, making shadow puppets of dancing rabbits on the bars. Attention drifting towards the demon, "Well, I'll take your word for it from over here, if that's alright."

"Hard." Corina quipped in response to Lang?s remark.

A snort of laughter at the woman's remark, then Rune?s attention back to Lang, "Did you need anything?"

Now a chuckle from the demon, "I'm fine at the moment." This said while shaking a finger at Corina.

Blair spies Corina at the bar and heads over to her, her long stride not breaking a bit as she moves. She then boosts herself up onto the bar top, sitting on the counter. Her legs hang over the side as she settles into a seat there and grins. "Well, hello there, you."

Corina grinned up at Blair, "Well, hello yourself, beautiful."

Rune looks bemused for a moment at the appearance of the woman seating herself on the bar, but ignores it for the time being, raising their voice just a tad to announce, "If anyone needs drinks, let me know." Returning shadow animals to Aya's view, Runesael makes faces and foxes and deer on the bar counter, smiling faintly.

Blair smiles, setting her hands behind her and leaning back a tad, looking around the Inn. "And what brings you down here tonight, Corina?"

Corina took a pull of the beer, "Looking for company. Kinda hoping."

Blair raises her eyebrows at that, moving to lay on her side on the bar, bringing her legs up to rest lightly on the bar, stretching out. "Hoping for what?"

Corina smiled at Blair, "Hoping I'd see you." Fingers moved to lightly touch her cheek.

Blair grins, nuzzling into that touch as her eyes slip halfway closed for a moment. "Mmm... I was hoping I'd see you too."

Corina murmured, "(vq) 'mind me to get you a comm link for the ship." She had a smile on her lips.

Blair grins, opening her eyes and looking at Cori again. "You could just give me the comm frequency...my friends have a pretty sophisticated setup here that might be able to tap in, if only for communications purposes."

Corina smiled, "(vq) I?ll talk to communications and get that for you. See about a private link-up. We'll have to see how sophisticated the set-ups are."

Blair grins, winking at Cori as she props her head up on a hand, still stretched out on the bar. "I can talk to one of my friends and get you some specs. I don't know if they'll be up to your standards, but there's probably a way of making them compatible."

Cori nodded at that thought, "I can have Jace talk with them. My kid bro is a whiz at these things, but he specializes in the engines."

Blair smiles at that. "I'll have to talk to Sarah - one of my friends - and see what she thinks. She's the electronics whiz, especially for communications stuff."

"I'll talk to the admiral, see how much he's for communications with the planet." Cori was thinking. "See how possible us staying in system is."

Blair looks almost apprehensive about that for a moment, but nods. "You know... if... He decides that you should all go back to where you're from... There are ways here." Her voice grows quieter. (q) "And you don't have to go, if they do."

Corina looked at Blair seriously, "(vq) Something to consider... Right now all I have is the Task Force, my brother... and now you."

Blair smiles, her hand reaching out and tracing over Corina's. "It's up to you, really. I can't imagine all of your people will want to stay."

"Truthfully." She leaned into the touch and closed her eyes, "This Task Force was sold is *Probably not coming back.*"

Blair grins. "At least they were honest."

Corina turned and place a light kiss on Blair's hand, "Yeah, Recruited their best and brightest for a no return mission. Hells, I expected to be able to knock on Command's door and say *Hi, honey I'm home.* Now, not so much."

Blair chuckles. "Imagine their surprise when someone does just that... I would think they would choose to recruit the best and brightest in the hopes that they would return home."

"It's always something that I questioned. Why us? Were we chosen because we were outspoken?" Corina shrugged and finished her beer. "Either way."

Blair tilts her head at that, considering as she stretches slightly. "There was a time in my own world's history that there was a problem that threatened the entire planet. They tried to fix it at first with people that were very linear-thinking, straight-laced types, and it killed them - they just couldn't handle it. So the next attempt was with people who were more... of the maverick type, eccentric, outspoken... people that could think outside the box. And they succeeded where the others failed."

Corina nodded at those words. "We took to the stars and different worlds. I'm from Beta Aquilae... But we are called Terrans."

Blair grins at that. "Terrans...I like 'human' so much better."

Corina chuckled, "We got cut off in the last great war."

Blair sighs, moving closer in to Corina, laid out before her on the bar. "That must have made things very difficult."

"Yes, Loosing that jump node was devastating." Corina leaned forward at that move. "(vq) Want me to stay Dirt side tonight?"

Blair grins at that, moving in closer to Cori and swinging her legs off the bar, sitting up. (vq) "I have a place, if you don't want to go back to your ship..."
Corina murmured, looking up at Blair, "Not tonight, I don't want to go back to the ship."

Blair slides down from her seat on the bar, settling right in front of Cori, a slinky, almost lazily feline move as she takes the captain's hands in her own. (vq) "Then come home with me."

Corina placed her hand in Blair's, "Yes." She stood from the stool, with the jacket falling and straightening. The heart was hammering in her chest.

Blair grins at that, holding Cori's hand as she leads her out the door, into the night. (vq) "I was wondering when you were going to ask."

She walked out with Blair, "I know."
