?Ready are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh. Excitement. Heh. A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless.? Master Yoda to Luke Skywalker

She stood before the council as they reviewed her status. As a Padawan, she had excelled. Yet there were always questions about who she was. She knew that Master Vydan had rescued her from a Hutt slaver, but she wondered if being a Jedi was all she was to know. In her heart she needed to explore, to learn. Her master understood and tried to guide her the best he could. It was a start, yet nothing seemed to fulfill that calling in her heart.

The Council felt she had earned the title of Knight. She was pleased with her own progress in her abilities, yet she felt her calling in the stars.

She made her choice then. It was the hardest path to choose. To find her place in the universe, be it as a Jedi or one of the Lost. She knew that she had to make this journey, it was as if it was the Will of the Force.

Adventure, she wasn?t so sure about that. Yes, it would be an adventure. Exciting, possibly. Yet, was it an adventure she sought? No, it wasn?t. She yearned to learn more about herself outside of the order. It was with these thoughts in mind as she left the Holocron in her Master?s quarters. She slipped to the hanger and took one of the long-range ships. She smiled at her R4 unit as she prepared for the journey. ?No, we are going to do a little exploring, R4.?

*****

A little exploring turned into a period of time in force hibernation. She had let her instincts guide her course and she allowed herself the time to rest and meditate on what she was doing and why. Before long she was awakened by R4 beeping at her. The little droid was trying to let her know she was being hailed.

?This is Rhydin Air and Space Guard hailing unidentified ship. Do you copy??

She shook her head, ?Rhydin, R4? Can you chart where we are?? The droid beeped it?s acknowledgement.

She chuckled and flipped on the comm., ?Rhydin Air and Space Guard, this is Shuttle Ryll requesting permission to land and refuel.?

?Acknowledge Shuttle Ryll, please transmit your identification codes and the nature of your visit??

?Transmitting codes now. Just out exploring with no real destination.?

There seemed to be a brief chuckle on the other side, not unfriendly. ?Acknowledged, Shuttle Ryll. Everything is in order, you are cleared for landing. Welcome to the Star?s End.?

(Based on live RP between Senn Vao and Jaxon Okuno.)

Senn?Vao slipped past the Pneumatic doors and looked around a bit. Sitting at the bar is a tallish, broad man dressed in a reddish-brown cloak over white, comfortable-looking clothing, leaning against the bar and looking around casually. Spying the blue-skinned Twi-lek coming in through the door, he drops a bow of his head to her, along with a snappy little-two-fingered salute.

She eyes the cloak warily. With a soft sigh she moves over to the bar. "Evening."

Jaxon catches the wary look, raising an eyebrow. Cautiously, he reaches out with his senses, just to get a feel for her, and chuckles softly. Pulling back again, he nods to her. "Evening."

She was not masking herself at this time. There was no point as she was more intent on hiding from the Sith. "Another of the Order here on this world?"

He raises an eyebrow yet again, shaking his head. "Not exactly, though I have done some training with the Jedi."

She nodded and settled onto the stool, "I had wondered." She ordered a fruit beverage from the tender. It was interesting to say the least. He called it a Smooshie.

He eyes the drink, as it's prepared. If he had one, it's been drunk already. His gold-hazel eyes don't leave the Twi'lek for a moment, a steady, calm, assured gaze. "You don't like Jedi?"

She shook her head, "It's not that. I... left to order to find my own identity."

He nods, his expression neutral but understanding. "I can see that. They do have a tendency to be a bit...stuffy."

"I spent most of my life with in the order. I left to find who I am once I became a Knight."

He chuckles. "Funny. Once I became a Jensaarai, I was sent to the Order to learn some patience and tolerance. Apparently, my order thought I was too... aggressive."

She chuckles, "I know the Order is looser than the past, but still."

He shrugs, still with a grin. "Either way, it helped, and I got to learn something new in the bargain."

She smiled, "This is a good thing. We did not part on bad terms. The masters were understanding of the need."

He looks around the bar, as if taking it all in yet again. "I was actually on my way home when I ended up here." His gaze comes to rest on her again. "You said there are others here?"

She nodded, "I have not seen any of the Order. There is another of my people here... and Sith. One of the Sith mentioned Jedi here."

A darker look passes over his features at the mention of Sith. "Sith. Interesting."

She nodded, "There are at least 3. The one I sensed as the master seems to have slaves as well." She was wary.

Oh, it just gets better and better. He sighs, and after a moment a sort of calm shows on his face again. "You'd think they could just go away."

She had a wiry smile on her lips, "You would think. There are 2 males and one female."

A slight smile twists his lips, though it looks anything but humorous. "I do like a challenge. Why do the Jedi tolerate them here?"

She shook her head, "I truly have no idea." She smiled wanly, "I have not been here long enough to learn way. The Master then appear to be quite powerful."

He looks thoughtful for a moment, his gold-hazel eyes darkening slightly as he broods over this. "I suppose I shall have to find out. I know the Jedi are not as inflexible and intolerant as they once were, but this should not be allowed."
She nodded, "I have been fortunately thus far, but It won't last. That... one Sith chills me."

He sighs, shaking his head. "I... dislike Sith. Intensely."

She half-smiled, "I could see why too"

Abruptly, the dark look clears as he shakes his head again. "Can't let myself get too worked up about it, I suppose."

She shrugged, "I don't have the strength to take them alone. So I lay low."

The conversation trailed off then. A few minutes later her R4 unit called her to her ship. She never did get his name.

A couple of days later, Senn?Vao was sitting at the bar nursing that fruit drink again. She had clothing to blend in, as much as a blue skinned alien with two tentacles could.

The pneumatic door slides open with a hiss to reveal the tall, robed form of Jaxon, not dressed to fit in at all, looking more like what he is - a Jedi type figure - than the last time as he strides towards the bar.

She glanced over her shoulder and smiled. At least she recognized him.

A smile in return to her as he pulls up a stool at the bar, bowing his head to her. "Good evening."

"Evening... I never did get your name." She took a sip of that drink and looked around again.

He chuckles softly, nodding his head. "Quite right, you didn't. Of course, I never got yours, either."

She chuckled softly, "Senn'Vao."

A grin lights up his features. "A pleasure to meet you, Senn'Vao. My name is Jaxon."

She smiled warmly, "The pleasure is mine, Jaxon." She took another sip of that beverage as she regarded him.

He doesn't order anything for himself, for the moment, as he looks back at her. "So, you grew up with the Jedi?"

She nodded, "For the most part. I ... was rescued from a slave camp."

R4 has the worst timing as she is again pinged away from the conversation. Still she was warming to this human. Maybe she would see him again?

A few days later, Senn?Vao slipped past the Pneumatic doors. It had been easy to hide by shutting herself down in the force. Today she was bundled in what looked to be a hoodie and jeans, with sneakers.

Attired similarly, blue jeans, black boots, and a khaki-colored button-down shirt, sleeves rolled, Jaxon sits at the bar, a stein of some dark ale in front of him. As the doors open, he turns and smiles at the Twi'lek as she enters.

She smiled at him and moved over to the bar to sits. "Hmm, beautiful day."

He chuckles softly. "Beautiful, yes...though I must admit I am used to warmer climes than this."

She grinned a bit there, "So am I. Though this is a bit of a change from Ryloth."

A tilt of his head at that. "I've never been to Ryloth. What's it like?"

She looked a bit distant, "Pretty harsh, desert mostly. At least on the day side of the planet."

His brow furrows as he takes a drink of the ale, looking over the top of the mug at her. "On the day side?"

"One side of the planet always faces the Sun. I think the Masters called it Tidal Locking. There's only a thin strip of the planet inhabitable for my people."

He grins at that. "You learn something new every day. My home planet is mostly savannas, plains. A bit rocky here and there, and mostly dry...but you get used to it after a while."

She nodded, "Sounds so much more hospitable than Ryloth. Still, this place has potential."

A glance given to the door. "It's much more scenic here than on Susevfi, I'll give it that. I'm used to the variety of different species...home was like this in that way, although there are many here I've never seen before."

She nodded, "Even the Order didn't have so many species."

He nods at that. Having gone through some of the Jedi Order's training himself, he had met many of the species represented there, but here, the variety is nearly infinite. "I suppose that's what happens here. As I understand it, this place is a... crossroad of sorts."

She nodded a bit, "I've heard several different explanations, but most of the information I've found points back to a phenomena called the Nexus."

He nods, having come across this information himself. "There's quite a store of the information around, if you know where to look. I'm not entirely sure exactly how it works, but it does work."

She nodded, "There are people that can use a power they call magic. I don't know how it differs from the use of the Force, but somehow it does." She ordered one of those fruit smooshie things.

A shrug to that. "I've heard what we can do called 'magic' as well, depending on the point of view it's coming from."

She nodded, "Perceptions it seems, and different application of the same energy?"

He had a thoughtful look at that idea, his eyes distant for a moment as he contemplates. "Perhaps so. It would be hard to say, without seeing if any of the ones that use what they call magic could harness the Force the way we do."

"Might be something worth studying." She said with a shrug, "Not my strong suit." She then grinned.

He chuckles softly, taking another drink of the ale in his glass. "Not mine either, I'm afraid. A Jedi Master might be able to manage such an undertaking, if they can be convinced it's worth looking into."

She paid for the smooshie and took a sip, "Hmm, Yes. The Sith Presence might be enough to entice a few to investigate."

A slightly shadowed look crosses his features for just a moment. "Yes, there is that. I still don't understand why, if there are Jedi here, they continue to tolerate such a presence."

She shrugged, "I do not know, other than the one Sith Lord being extremely powerful."

He sighs, shaking his head. "There's more to it than that. I could not see the Jedi being such cowards."

She shook her head, "Unless distracted?"

Another tilt of the head, this time to the opposite side, followed by a thoughtful nod. "I suppose that's possible, depending on what it is they're distracted by."

She nodded, "This one Sith... He is beyond my abilities. Perhaps the Jedi here are not organized enough to face him?"

Again, the thoughtful look. Seeing as how he has not met any others besides her, it makes sense. "Possible, even probable. If they were organized, I fail to see how they could let such a thing pass."

She sipped at the drink thoughtfully, "That makes sense, as that One Sith did mention something to the effect of the Jedi here being ineffectual." Worse was said, but that was the gist of it.

He chuckles softly. "I've never met a Sith myself, but if I remember my history correctly, isn't that what they always say?"

She smiled a bit, "It is, but 3 in the same area. That is a sight to be wary of."

He nods slightly. "My training as a Jensaarai includes some Sith lore...as well as learning some of their techniques. They are not opponents to be taken lightly, that much I know for certain."
[
She nodded, "I watched a fourth tear into one of the three and the power unleashed was unnerving. The Sith Lord however outstripped them both. The female did little herself."

A shake of his head. "A shame I couldn't have seen for myself."

She nodded, "Soon enough I fear." She took another drink of that smooshie, making it last.

Absently, almost, he fingers the silvery hilt of the lightsaber hanging at his hip. "Hopefully not too soon." He takes another drink of the dark ale.

She nodded, "Indeed." There was a soft sigh, ""They have gone to ground for now."

"May they stay there." A long sigh is let out. "Though I doubt they will. He drains the stein of ale and sets it down on the bar. He turns his gaze back to her. "So... any luck finding work?"

She shook her head, "No, With my looks, it seems the only thing people want me for is to dance and the places available..." She shuddered.

He chuckles softly, shaking his head. "I can see your point." His gold-hazel eyes flit over her briefly. "Though I can see why." And then the thoughtful look again, as if considering. "You know, I have seen a need for a courier and transport service here, and I could use an extra hand on my ship if I were to pursue that venture, for the time being..."

She tilted her head, "I am not unfamiliar with ship operations." She smiled a bit, with the tchin-tchun wavering slightly. "And there is safety in numbers around this place."

His eyes flick to the lekku wavering just slightly, something he had always found fascinating about Twi'leks. Then back up to her eyes with a smile. "Two heads are better than one?"

She smiled a bit wider now, "Indeed. Throw in a pair of Lekku and we'll be unbeatable." She teased lightly.

He laughs softly. "Well, you can't have everything, so I suppose I'll just have to learn how to read yours."

She laughed softly, "I suppose we could throw in lessons."

He bows his head to her with a grin. "Yet another thing I could pay you for, if you liked."

She laughed, "We'll work something out there."

A raised eyebrow at that, as well as a slightly teasing look in his eyes. "Ah, so you're a negotiator as well?"

There was a grin on those lips, "Hmm, I could be."

He smirks, a lopsided smile of sorts on his features. "We'll have to see what terms you can come up with."

She chuckled softly, "We will indeed." The smile on her face is more relaxed, coming easier to her.

Seeing her smile makes him smile slightly wider. "Well, I'm sure something can be worked out. Is it very hard to learn?"

"The biggest challenge will be not having the tchin-tchun." She said softly, "They are a vital part of our communication."

Again, his eyes touch on her lekku. "But it is not impossible to learn without them."

She thought about it a moment, "Quite possibly. The language includes very subtle movements."

He chuckles softly. "I'm guessing there is no translation for those movements. I seem to recall one of them sort of...waving at me once."

She laughed softly, "They have a mind of their own, I swear!"

He laughs, both eyebrows raised now. "So that wasn't necessarily a sort of communication that was intentional... just your lekku saying hello?"

She blushed still giggling, "A bit of both." Or what passes for a blush on blue skin.

He grins, one eyebrow still raised, a curious expression on his face. "That is very interesting."

"They are prehensile, though we try to be careful with them."

"Oh, I knew that. I also know that one needs to be careful touching them."

She nodded, "They are part of our central nervous system and well... well for other things too..." Was it possible to look embarrassed about a subject?

Again, he shows the curiosity. Sensing her embarrassment not so much through the Force as by intuition, he smiles. "Sorry... I didn't know it was such a sensitive subject."

"Um, It is more... Um... Having to do with... um... Sex." She managed to get out.

This time it's his turn to blush, his eyes going back to the lekku again. "Oh? I didn't realize..."

With that she ordered another smooshie. She was young, still an adult, "The Order is not know for being... well promiscuous."

He chuckles softly. "No, they are not, at that...anther thing learned today, it seems."

She nodded, paying for her smooshie with a bit of a smile. "So it would seem."

He still looks embarrassed, a bit of color burning in his cheeks. "I'm...ah...sorry. I didn't mean to push the subject., really."

She reached out and laid a hand on his arm, "It's alright, really... I'm... just not experienced in such."

At the touch, he relaxes, his own hand coming up and touching hers lightly. The color in his cheeks remains where it is, perhaps fading just slightly. A soft chuckle comes from his throat. "Interestingly, I've found that most Jedi aren't."

She nodded, "A throwback to the earlier days. They are getting used to the idea of families, I guess."

He laughs softly. "Now there, the Jedi could take a lesson from my people. I never understood the reasoning behind the old Jedi taboo against families or lovers."

She smiled a bit, "If I remember my lessons right, it was held that strong emotions could lead to the Dark side. It was just astonishing that something so good could lead down that path. Though when you throw in emotions like Jealousy."

He shrugs to that. "Many things can lead you down the same path. The true heart will be able to find the right balance without falling into the trap of the Dark side."

Senn?Vao had let the hood fall during the conversation, so that her twin lekku were dispalyed for all eyes. She looked a little distracted. She glanced over her shoulder when the pneumatic doors opened. There was a thoughtful look as she looked back to Jaxon.

In walked, well, someone who was particularly dressed uncommonly for a spacer. He moved over to a table, and took a seat. His attention is drawn to the armed men entering the bar for a moment, gold-hazel eyes looking them over for a moment before he turns back to Senn'Vao. The two at the bar could hear the low hum of the conversation in the mostly empty bar. One man stood guard while the over two spoke.

Her eyes looked fairly serious as she took a sip of her smooshie. There was a tell-tale bulge in the front pocket of that hoodie. Her eyes move meet Jaxon's on this one. His eyes meet Senn's as they listen in on the conversation. One eyebrow goes up, just subtly, a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his lip.

He smirks as the pair leaves towards the landing zone. "That was certainly interesting."

She shook her head, "Smugglers, thugs or something worse?"

"I'm thinking probably a combination of the three." He leans against the bar in his seat with a smile. "Whatever it is definitely deal in illicit trade."

"Indeed. What is a Senator doing here?" She stops and indicates that two of the men have returned. She was finishing her drink. A colorful looking concoction made out of fruit. They were both dressed normally, but it was plainly obvious she was a twi'lek - something about being blue and those two tentacles.

He's watching the return of the men from before, his gold-hazel eyes alight and alert with interest. That almost mischievous spark returns to his eyes as they meet Senn's again, then flick back to the others. She grinned a bit at the look, should be interesting.

Desmond took another swig, before setting the bottle down. His eyes, glanced about to the other two. It slightly unnerved him as they just sat there watching him, and Magnus. Enough so he was prepared in case there was going to be any aggressive negotiations.

Magnus got off the phone. "My friend is gonna meet us here. Get yourself something to eat if your hungry... remember keep it cheap"

Taking another drink, Desmond let his eyes look to the menu. "I don?t want anything here, I can afford."

"That's why I?m paying" Magnus rolled his eyes taking a sip of the drink Desmond got him. "Who are the two nut jobs looking at us?" he whispered over to Desmond.

"No idea." Desmond opens the menu, scanning it.

Senn?Vao suppressed a grin by finishing her drink.

Jaxon tries not to laugh, the grin splitting his face baring a flash of white teeth. A murmur in a low voice to Senn. "I didn't think you looked like a nut job..."

She laughed a little, "Though I looked like a Rutian, huh what?" She murmured back quietly.

He raises a hand, looking at it in mock scrutiny. "Yep, that's what I thought...still human." He retorted as a third man entered.

She leaned forward so that her lips were close to his ear. A good illusion, "(vq) Yeup, a good looking one at that."

Her leaning so close has her ear right next to his lips as well. A smile and a blush cross his face for a moment, but even so he can't resist whispering back. (vq)"And might I say that you are quite a lovely Rutian."

There was a quiet laugh, "(vq) Why thank you kind sir." She drew back rather than embarrassing him more. Though she had meant those words. The trio was forgotten for the moment.

Senn Vao

He hides the light thread of disappointment he feels as she pulls back easily. He had rather liked her that near. Still, he chuckles, and just as she pulls away, he murmurs back, (vq) "No thanks necessary. We of the Jensaarai speak only truth."

There was that little pang as she considered him. She wasn't sure what that was she felt.

Magnus sees the another Twi'lek enter, "Twi'leks should just stick to shaking it for credits" he whispered to Christoph. He walked towards his ship. Couldn?t miss that bit of insult.

Desmond had left and then returned to the bar. Looking to the two that were across the room. "Where is a weapons vendor?"

She shrugged, "Got me, should be a data kiosk near the bays."

"What about you pretty boy?" Talking to the man that had been flirting, or at least what seemed like flirting, with the twi'lek sitting next to him. Then he gave shrug, apparently he must not speak either. So he would just go with what the twi'lek said. " A kiosk, is better then nothing

He watched as the soldier type left. Whatever else he may be called, he does not answer to 'pretty boy.' There was a soft chuckle as the man splits, shaking his head. "Now that the annoyances have left..."

She smiled at him. "I think it was a testament to my patience that I didn't deck that other one."

"Not to mention mine. I don't have the benefit of training for a lifetime under the Jedi as you do."

She nodded, "Shaking it for credits, indeed..."

Those golden-hazel eyes seem to darken just slightly as he smiles. The look seems like it might be better suited to a predator than his features. "I will say, it is a good thing I am not a lesser man."

She smiled at him then, "It is indeed."

He chuckles softly, a light blush touching his cheeks. "So...what is it you do when you're not here?"

"Mostly trying to find safe places to rest." The smile faded a little. "I had been... concerned on where I would find shelter this night."

A raise of eyebrow, at that. "And why did you not say something before? My freighter has an empty berth in it, if you'd like it. And don't worry, it's separate from mine." He chuckles.

She looked up at him, "Because I didn't wish to impose."

He gives her a near-incredulous look. "Well, if you're going to be working with me, Senn'Vao, you're going to have to learn to impose."

She laughed softly, "Yes, sir."

It was ironic going from wondering where she was going to find work and worrying about shelter to having both. She had to admit that the Jensaarai was proving to be a good friend. Quite handsome too.

This day finds Senn?Vao sitting at the bar, sipping on those fruit smooshie things. Though today finds her dressed in something a little more utilitarian. The leather outfit hugs those curves, accompanied by a pair of bracers and boots. Her saber was clipped to her side.

The door slides open to reveal the tall form of Jaxon, clad today - strangely enough - in an outfit that is just as utilitarian as Senn's. Dressed in a dark gray and black body-glove outfit that clings snugly to his lean frame, he walks with easy grace up to the bar and finds a stool to sit on.

She smiled as he sat beside her, "How's things looking?"

He looks over at her with a grin. "Pretty good, from where I'm sitting. Or were you talking about work?"

She laughed at that, "Work. Though I'm thinking thing look good my Point of view." She grinned at him.

A slight blush touches his cheeks as he chuckles. "Well, as for work, I've got feelers out and have let it slip to a few people that if they need something shipped, that we're available for the job."

She nodded, "As good a way as any. Need an Astromech?"

For a moment, he looks as if he's going to say no, before he stops himself. "Actually... that may not be a bad idea. The freighter has a good navi-computer, but it never hurts to have one if it can be found, for repairs if they're needed, or for a backup."

She nodded, "I have an R4 unit with my ship. He's pretty good and I haven't had him wiped since I've had him." She finished that drink.

He raises an eyebrow. "How long have you had him for?"

"Just about a year. Found him during some trade negotiations that got aggressive."

He chuckles. "My favorite kind, as it turns out. What kind of ship do you have?"

"It's a smaller, long range fighter." She chuckled though, not surprised that he liked aggressive negotiations.

He nods with a grin. "Better than the freighter I have, though it's no slouch in the defensive department."

She thought about it a moment. "Yeah, shame we can't stow her on the freighter, just in case."

He looks thoughtful for a moment. "Well...the ship does have a cargo capacity of around a hundred metric tons..."

"Yeah, just do we want to limit our load capacity that way?" She looked over at him.

He chuckles softly. "Good point."

She smiled, "Things'll be fine. I'll keep her here in storage. Though if you want to give her a run through." She grinned at him.

There's no missing the almost boyish grin of delight that crosses his features. "It all depends on if it could take the abuse."

She laughed then, "Well, the Order is gonna be a bit put out they are missing one of their fighters."

He snorts, then laughs softly. "I'm sure they won't be too put out. They had plenty when I was there."

She chuckles softly, "Ever tried one?"

"One of the Jedi fighters?" He chuckles. "Nope, never. The Jensaarai have their own fighters, though we like ours to be a bit different from the Jedi."

She nods a bit, "Understandable. We Twi'lek have our Death seed."

"Oh, we have a variety of them. X-Wings are by far the favored, but a few of us have our own custome-built fighters as well."

"The Chir'daki is a cross between an X-wing, a B-Wing and a Tie." She grinned.

"Sounds...interesting. I'd have to see that. Is it as fun to fly as it sounds?"

"The S-foils of the X-wing, attached to a TIE's main body using the Gyro system of a B." She grinned, "Makes life pretty interesting for an Ugly " She orders another of those smooshie things and an ale for Jax.

She orders, but he pays with a smile as the ale and fruit smooshie are brought. "My treat, this time."

She smiled at him, "Alright."

An armored figure walked inside the space bar. He looked around at the patrons and held up a holo-projector. His breathing sounded strange. "I offer one hundred thousand credits to this persons whereabouts." The holo-image was of a 3 feet tall purple lupine with wings. The being was clearly female and missing one ear

Senn Vao

Date: 2009-11-26 19:50 EST
She glanced over her shoulder at the one talking... and grew silent at that moment.

Jaxon looks up to the man, and instantly the look on his face darkens. He doesn't move from his spot. "Yeah... even if I knew, I wouldn't be telling you."

She gave the image a look over and then shrugged.

A clawed hand killed the holo-image. His visor turned between the two of them. "Would one million credits change your mind?"

She gave him an unamused look, "Such a sharp increase for a target. You would think this one thinks we are stupid, Jax?"

He looks back at the man, then at Senn with a grin that somehow shows, and at the same time utterly lacks, any humor. "Hard to say. He must be, if he didn?t get the message that we're not for sale, either way."

He growled. "Typical of Jedi. Or from what I see...Wanna-Be Jedi." He turned. Leaving the holo-image on a continuous loop. Sooner or later his prey would find him.

"Typical Moron... casting insults where he knows not." She shook her head.

He snickers softly. "Presumptuous, as well. Whoever said I wanted to be a Jedi?"

She chuckled softly at that.

"Say what you will. Atin hut'uunla " He didn't finish his sentence. He began to leave.

She tsked softly, "This one was one of the ones I was telling you about." She remembered him from the battle in the glen.

laughs softly. "A man in a mask, paying for information on someone he's looking for rather than looking for them himself, calling me cowardly. That's a new one."

"Who is the true coward, the on flinging the insult or the one choosing not to be goaded."

"Chi'kan..." She mutters and takes another drink of her smooshie.

He chuckles as the would-be...whatever he is...leave. "I wonder if that was his idea of coercion..."

She shook her head, "Sometimes you wonder... But that is the creature I saw that night."

They had finished off their drinks and headed back to the freighter. The company had her well at ease. Thing were comfortable and the unease she had been feeling was not evident. Perhaps this is where the Force wanted her to be? She had to believe that, because this is where she wished to be.

Date: 2009-11-26 20:09 EST
Senn?Vao slipped past the pneumatic doors and over to the bar again. She had her leathers on and slipped a flight jacket over them. Jaxon is already at the bar, his hands curled around what looks to be one of the fruit smooshie things that Senn is always drinking, dressed in a body glove again, this one entirely black. The silver cylinder of the lightsaber hilt hangs from his hip.

She came up behind him, knowing she wouldn't be surprising him and placed a hand on his shoulder. She ordered one herself. "Hey handsome."

No surprise, not at her coming up behind him, at any rate. A faint flush of color shows on his cheeks as he chuckles and looks around at her. "Hey there yourself, beautiful."

She smiled and settled on the stool. "How are things holding up?"

A wry twist of his lips. "No business yet, but then, these things can take some time. I was fortunate enough to have been given a fair amount of money in varying currencies by my people before I went to the Jedi, just in case. But still, I dislike being idle."

She chuckled, "Agreed there. I just don't like hanging about with the way trouble keeps showing,"

"I hope you're not referring to that little worm from last night." He chuckles softly.

She smiled, "Sort of." She paid for her smooshie. "I didn't see his leash holder."

He nods, drinking the fruit smooshie. "Probably was on his own. They seem to have more courage in groups."

She nodded at that, "That was was short on brains and long and stupidity."

He chuckles softly, finishing off the rest of his fruit smooshie drink. "He had to be at least somewhat smart. He didn't try to make a fight of it."

"Somewhat... " she smiled at him, "These things are good."

He chuckles softly. "I've seen you drinking them every time we've been in here, so I decided I should try one, just to see." He grins. "Turns out you have pretty good taste."

She chuckled softly, "I like the way it tastes. It's also not an alcoholic beverage, which I find doesn't agree too well with me."

He tilts his head at her, looking curious. "Is that just you, or because you're a Twi'lek?"

"Just me." she tilted her head.

He chuckles. "I see. And what is it about them that doesn't agree?"

She looked thoughtful, "I felt ill from just one glass. It did not agree with my stomach."

He nods. "A strange sort of allergy to have, but if it is that bad..."

"Just means I avoid Alcohol the best I can."

He grins. "At least it's not because of some silly Jedi objection to it."

She chuckled softly, "Perish that thought."

A new being stepped into the bar, 3ft tall, purple furred Lupinossi, with a crimson Jedi cloak that was charred and holed by what could only be a lightning attack. She had goggles on and a lightsaber hung from belt, though by the pommel piece, it's twin was missing. She took a seat and ordered a soda and waited for it to be delivered.

Senn?Vao finished off her smooshie and gave a nod to the Lupinossi. The Lupinossi Senn for a moment, then nodded, not feeling a threat from her.

Jaxon looks at the new entrant, then doubletakes. Then looks back at Senn with a grin. "Interesting."

A furred eyebrow ticked upward hearing Jaxon. Only one canid ear twitched in his direction. Her left ear was missing. The scarring would point to a lightsaber.

Senn smiled at Jax, "Hmm, well, we did discuss that there were different races than what we are used to." She was no threat to anyone at this point.

The Lupinossi kept sipping her soda and kept her shielding up and tight around her keeping her blip on the Force radar faint.

He shakes his head. "That's not what I meant. I was thinking of the incident last night."

Lene notes the lightsaber on Senn. She was not familiar with the Jedi order that much so the robes Senn had wouldn't say Jedi to Lene.

She shook her head as if to clear, "I must be tired, I completely forgot about that." Senn wasn't wearing robes.

"Are you of the Jedi Order?" she asked of Senn

Senn tilted her head toward Lene, "I was." Jaxon had grown quiet as he listened.

Lene just nodded. "I never got to see the order. My master is...well? odd." another sip.

Senn nodded a bit "Let's just say, I was feeling a bit... smothered there."

"I see. The lightside can be quite... suffocating. So can the dark side. I prefer to adventure on both, hitting that nice middle spot that let's you open up quite a bit."

She arched a brow at that, "For me it is not about the lightside or the darkside. It was seeing what the universe was like outside of the order."

Another nod from Lene. "Master Pallin believes in just the Force. No labels. He likes to balance the sides." Another sip and she looked around. She could feel the creep's residue in the building. "Looks like he's late." smirks.

"Cretin that he was." Senn ordered another Smooshie.

Lenn looked to Senn. "Ah, so I am scanning right. A sith was here then?"

Senn nodded, "Looking for you." She had recognized the Lupinossi from the holo-image the night prior.

Lene touched her missing left ear for a moment and she just nodded. Small spark of hatred was in her gray eyes. "Lousy assassin then if he can't find me." she muttered and sipped more soda. She was quite the firecracker for her size.

Senn chuckled softly, "Clumsy at that."

Lene nodded once. "I will not let my guard down though. I am missing my left ear thanks to him. He attacked me while my leg was broken, then had the audacity to say I wasn't worth killing in my weakened state. I owe him a few lessons in the Force."

"He is not worth the cost. He is clumsy and rude."

"I will have to agree, but he will keep on me and that will get someone who cares for me hurt. I can not allow that." Lene said softly.

Senn nodded in thought.

"Well it seems he's a no show. Pass a message to him if he shows up here. Tell him he's not much of a Sith if he can't tell where I am." Lene grinned, left payment on the counter and walked out.

Senn mutters at the retreating figure, "What are we, messengers?"

The night passed rather uneventfully at this point. The pair found themselves back at the freighter and spoke long into the evening.

Senn Vao slipped past the pneumatic doors. She gave a quick scan of the room before slipping over to the bar. Hopefully they wouldn't run into trouble today.

The door hisses open yet again to reveal Jaxon, today dressed casually - jeans, boots, a black t-shirt. Ever-present on his hip is the slender, silver cylinder of his lightsaber. He makes his way to the bar with a casual stride, looking as if he has not a care in the world.

She smiled more feeling him enter then looking. "Hello, Handsome."

He chuckles, walking just behind her and settling on a stool next to her. "Hello yourself, beautiful."

She smiled over at him, "Good day?"

He shrugs slightly, leaning against the counter and facing her. "It's not a bad one. Got a line on someone that might want our services, but I won't be able to meet with them for a few days."

She turned to face him at the news, "The is good news."

He grins. "That it is. Money in our pockets, if indeed we get the job."

She was smiling at that, "Oh yeah, that would be most welcome."

He chuckles softly. "And for you? Has it been a good day?"

She tilted her head a bit, "It's been quiet. Which is a good thing."

He nods, a soft sigh escaping him. "I suppose it is. It would be nice to have something to do, though."

She smiled at him, "I know, being idle wears on you after a while, but at least the day was not plagued by the... mentally challenged."

He chuckles. "I do suppose there is that to be thankful for. Seeing him was enough to make me wonder why his master hadn't done away with him."

She smiled, "I had wondered that myself." she ordered one of those smooshies.

He seems to consider his order for a moment, before ordering the same for himself and paying for both. "These are actually very good...almost addictive."

She laughed softly, "I know. I'm thinking of programming the recipe into the food units."

He raises an eyebrow at that. "Actually, that doesn't sound like it's a bad idea.

She smiled at him, "I didn't think you would mind." There was a twinkle of mischief in those eyes.

He raises an eyebrow, a mischievous smile matching hers. "You did already?"

"Well, R4 is." She was grinned.

He laughs, shaking his head. "I might have known."

She laughed softly, "Getting to know me well?"

He grins. "Well, beginning to, at any rate."

She sipped at her drink, "I know, me too."

He takes a sip of his as well. "Getting to know me, or yourself?"

The smiled turned slightly shy, "Both."

He chuckles softly, a slight blush entering his cheeks. (s) "Glad to know I wasn't the only one interested."

Those blue fingers reach up to touch his cheek lightly, "(vq) That... is an understatement, Jax."

He nods, and - almost shyly, and very gently - reaches out to run the tips of his fingers along one of her lekku. "I guess...I just didn't want you to think it was my sole reason for inviting you to work with me."

She closed her eyes at the touch, "(vq) Or my sole reason to accept."

His fingers linger against the skin of her tchun for a moment, a slight smile on his lips. "(vq) I wouldn't have minded."

The eyes open again to regard him, "(vq) In any case." Those fingers lightly trail over his cheek, "(vq) I... am not sure how to proceed."

He tilts his head just slightly into her caressing fingers. "(q) Well, I think one thing at a time is usually best, don't you?"

She nodded to those words, "(vq) Yes. WE have all the time in the universe to explore this." She smiled so gently.

He chuckles softly, leaning closer to her. "(vq) True, of course...and we don't have to worry about someone saying we shouldn't be."

She moved closer, "(vq) There is that. Not that we care what they say, hm."

"(vq) I should certainly hope not. Not the two of us." He leans still closer, his hand moving to trail his fingers against her cheek.

She smiled and leaned in. The first gently brush of lips against his. Tentative at first.

A soft sigh escapes him as their lips meet, soft and shy and tentative at first, with perhaps the slightest of trembles in his hands as they cup her face and bring her lips closer.

The kiss grow a bit surer as it draws on. Her hand never leaving his cheek, and the other coming up to cup his other cheek.

His lips linger on hers for a long, very sweet moment before he finally disengages, a smile on his lips. He doesn't move very far away, opening his eyes just enough to look into hers. "(vq) Would it be wrong to confess that I've wanted to do that for some time now?"

She smiled at bit at that, "(vq) No. I.. was wondering about that myself."

A deep sigh from him, as though lamenting the time wasted. "(q) At least no one has come to disturb us tonight..."

She looked up at him with that smile on her lips, "(vq) Thank the stars. Though I know of another place we will be almost guaranteed privacy."

He tilts his head again at that, an eyebrow raised. "(q) Oh? And where might that be?"

She grinned, "(vq) The freighter."

He laughs softly. "(vq) That's a good point...seeing as how the ship can be locked down to ensure there are no intrusions..."

She nodded, "(vq) Yes." Her fingers lightly caress his cheek.

He smiles, his own hand coming up to caress her cheek, before moving again to her tchun, a very soft touch to the skin there. Finally he stands and offers her his arm. "(vq) Shall we, then, beautiful?"

She stands and laces her hands on his arm, "(vq) Yes, handsome."

One hand is placed over hers as he leads the way out of the bar towards the freighter with a grin.
