Topic: OOC Thread

Lately I have been hearing a handful of questions/criticisms and I just wanted an opportunity to address those.

Marc will not talk about because that's not the point of the blog. There are many other venues that cover those sort of SLs -- the Oracle, Dueling Zone, etc. The blog was created more to be silly and have a good time.

If I don't talk about your character please don't think it is because I don't like you OOC. Going through hours and hours of logs can be time-consuming and, sometimes, mind-numbing. I do admit that my eye jumps to the characters in the room I'm familiar with. It's harder to write gossip about characters when I'm unsure of their background.

If there's a piece you'd like to see in the blog about your character PLEASE feel free to PM it to me or e-mail it. I certainly would love any help I can get. Once I get to know your character, chances are it will become a regular in the blog.

If you would prefer your character was not in the blog, please let me know. Once I know, I will make sure not to use it again.

Some of the things Marc has been there for. However, like those of us that are fans of Page Six or Perez Hilton (who obviously Marc is mirrored after) know, most gossip reporters work on tips and talking to those who were around at the time.

I will not include conversations where only several people were in the Inn (because there wouldn't be an obvious observers) or if conversations were whispered (because, again, random people in the Inn/Arena/Outback/Annex/TDL arenas would not have knowledge). However, the way I'm playing it out is that Marc has a series of tipsters that keep him filled in on public conversations overheard in public places.

Like I said, if you don't want to be involved, you're more than welcome to shoot me a PM or e-mail to tell me that and I will totally respect those wishes. My background isn't on this forum so I will need to know all of the characters you do not wish me to include.

It's a fabulous idea, and gives the world of RhyDin a little more realism. I mean, here in the real world, you've got tabloids and whatnot dishing out dirt on well-known people that they otherwise wouldn't want leaking out. And with this public blog in place, it allows for characters to even react to their dirty laundry being aired if they happened to be the ones scandelized... such as Jewell placing a bounty on said blogger. XD

I quite enjoy the Gansta bit and Marco's take on situations or rather the Gossip take! It does create a sense of challenge for the charry at times! I can tell, it must for others as well. But I enjoy reading it and love the humor to! It also keeps me from having to spend time researching the logs to find out what has been happening around the town! NICE!

Me? I love the Gossip GangSTAR! Though Ryo has some jealousy issues because Cal and Uriko get to be in it and not him *cough*, I find it fun to skim through to see what's happening with some of the people I normally wouldn't know about because they're always talking to someone when Ryo is bored out of his mind and willing to go up to random people to talk to.

I don't read it every day because I tend to forget about it, BUT I do find it fun when there's a lot to catch up on. Jumping on the gravy train to sing my praises of the lauded Gossip GangSTAR. ~winks~

I try to remember to check it every day. It's just a fabulous read, always light-hearted and usually able to get a laugh out of me. I'm not usually one for gossip, and I certainly don't follow anything like this in the real world, bloggers dishing the latest dirt on celebrities and what have you.

Granted, the blog certainly is a fantastic way to keep up on the goings-on in the inn, and I definitely use it for that purpose... but... I'd read it every day anyway just to see who our beloved blogger finds "SLUTTACIOUS" today. ~giggles~

I wonder if Asha would be sad to find that our prolific GangSTAR already mentioned her and maybe forgot about it... Unless one is still viewed as a newcomer when one arrived in Rhy'Din in March... Hm... ~teases~

I just want to say a very special thanks to the players of the characters that I berate so regularly. I really only do it because I love you and know you can take it!

I've ripped Jewell on and off for MONTHS! Yet her player has been nothing but supportive and easy to work with.

I want to mention Alain in particular for coming to me about spicing things up with the Love Triangle but, of course, Lassie Cassie and Miss B along with him. I cannot even begin to tell you how much fun I'm having trying to twist situations to continue that or watching the t-shirt fallout.

Even though I try to keep a low profile OOC I feel like I know each and every one of you from reading so many logs over the past couple of months. I love hanging out in the Lobby under a different SN and seeing people get excited when I post a new one.... because I am just as excited if not more to write it. This just started as a silly idea to entertain me when I had a cold. I love that it has continued for this long and I hope the joke doesn't become old anytime soon.

So I've been thinking (dangerous, I know)....

Cupid is widely associated with the color pink. Obviously, so is Franco.

The cherubic Cupid is often portrayed wearing a loincloth. Rumor has it that Franco is rather partial to togas.

Cupid is all about relationships and hooking people up. Franco loooves relationships -- especially the hook-ups, mix-ups and break-ups that abound. He can be credited for the gossipy insinuations that quite possibly led to at least half of them.

Cupid shoots people with love darts and an adorable little bow. Many readers of the GangStar would like to shoot Franco with not-so-loving darts from time to time...
