Harvest Festival Ball!
Perhaps we should first start off with an entry entitled ?Our Summer Vacation? to bring you up to speed on our unfortunate mishap. However, we all know that the citizens of this town have much greater drama and intrigue in their first waking hour than did we in the entire past three months. Therefore we will waste no time on this wayward hero and plunge right back into the depths of life in RhyDin!
Awake, loyal readers, for it has been a long, hot summer, indeed! Yet, fall is here! Children are returning to school, the leaves are giving us their final brilliant display before their death, the market is full of pumpkins, winter squash, and delicious corn, and the Gossip GangSTAR has returned to his throne once more.
And what a better event to return home to than the Festival Ball on the final night of the Harvest Festival??? Our sources tell us that the Hall looked radiant in fall decorations and smart-looking servers readily handed out scrumptious autumn treats. We hear the roasted lamb with winter squash was TO DIE FOR!!! The musicians were fabulous and the city was ready for a formal ball!
Johnny was looking as delightful as ever in a dapper black suit with a dark green shirt and tie. What a Dapper Dan!! His twin sister, Juliane, was up to snuff as well in a rich brown number with an elegant empire waist and a corset bodice. There was more than one many ooohing and aaahing as the lovely Juliane stepped out of her carriage! She served as her brother?s escort?. or perhaps he served as her?s. After all, if you had a sister that looked like Juliane wouldn?t you want to keep a careful eye on her???
However, Johnny?s first dance went to the dark-haired beauty Selene who, we are told, is the Harvest Festival Queen. We don?t know much about the mysterious woman but she must have become popular fast in our absence if she has been voted as queen! We shall definitely keep an eye out for this pretty face.
Juliane appeared almost shocked when she noticed Peredhil enter! It seems that three months did little to resolve all that tension between them. We hear that he has been away for some time and Juliane was surprised by his return. The pair talked quietly at an out of the way table. We swear these two need a good roll in the hay! They both seem so darn restless when in a room together. Seal the deal already, Perry! Seal the freakin? deal!
We hear that DoD-er Rena was accompanied by none other than the Harvest King ? Lang!!! Immediately, we?re wondering how much we missed!!! Rena looked quite stately in an amethyst v-neck dress with capped sleeves and a cinched waist to accent her fabulous little form! She seemed downright happy to be with Lang and was even heard laughing at one of his jokes. Could it be??? Could Lang truly be the one to turn somber Rena into a blushing, giggling maiden??? No way!
Speaking of missing out, Soerl is now with Luscious Lydia??? That little song master certainly gets around!!! This is merely further proof that every woman is a sucker for being serenaded! The pair certainly seemed quite taken with one another as they spun around the dance floor. Iiiiiinteresting! Certainly a relationship to keep watch on!
It seems that Marvelous Maeve still hasn?t changed her mind about Icky Ethan! The pair were seen quite chummy at the ball and even we have to admit that Ethan was looking down right handsome!!! Maeve was her usual eccentric self in a dark green tank top and leggings paired with a skirt of fall leaves. You just can?t help but love her, can you?
Was that really Lil? Boy Blue Locke accompanying Ballerina Katarina??? Oh, how we approve! How we approve! What a classy lady for a classy, classy man! The pair were light on their feet on the dance floor just as one would suspect they?d be!
DoD-er FLAWLESS Koy is not so light on her feet these days! My has she gotten huuuuuuuge?. and it?s absolutely adorable! Her blue crochet dress accented that pregnant belly perfectly. She was, of course, on the arm of the one and only the Gov MAN-tastic Matt! We can?t wait to see the utter cuteness that will be their offspring.
It seems that Crazy Train Tara has not changed on bit in our absence. She was overheard questioning Potter Piper on her stance on garden gnomes building some sort of sports facility in the glen. We also hear that her love for Anubis has not dimmed either. She was overheard saying that he would be her 51st (and last) hubby. Can we insert our trademark ?Le sigh? here???
