Eddie sat on the edge of the fountain in the middle of the Marketplace. Next to her was a little basket, with an assortment of sandwiches wrapped up inside. She wasn't much of a cook, but she was able to make a decent sandwich. She ran a hand through her strawberry bangs, her sandaled feet swaying. There were two things different about her today - one, she actually was wearing something other than black, going for a light green tee, and black belted shorts. And two, she had left her blades and chakra back at the Sanctuary. Not to say she was totally unarmed, but all the obvious weapons she usually had on her were in her room.
She fidgeted as she sat - the butterflies coming back in force. This was the second "date" she'd had with Jaden - not counting all the mornings they'd met for coffee and tea. The dinner and movie and the walk after went down as the best night she'd ever had. They'd talked for hours, about everything from the new brothers to her bad dreams and everything in between. Aside from her Sisters, he was the only one she'd ever told about the nightmares. His reaction had been to cuddle her close, even giving her a sweet little kiss as they said goodnight.
She knew she was a little early, but she'd been looking forward to this picnic all week - so she waited for Jaden, curled up on the side of the fountain.
