Gage came back from Milan to be here for Dean's birthday. Secretly he was here and didn't let anyone even know it, other then the ones that needed to know. And that of course excluded Dean. And here he is. Stringing along the spider web crap, that's what he considers it, utter crap because it keeps either sticking to him or the wall instead of the damn ceiling like it is suppose to.
He grumbles under his breath and takes a look out the window again. He's got one of the best views, up on the ladder, of the pool and he laughs to himself about the orange pool. But now it has dry ice all around it, the whole blasted house has dry ice around it, giving it that spooky fog like appearance. A skeleton holding a beer, on a blow up doll, floating around the orange pool water. Pumpkins everywhere, you almost have to be sure you don't step on the little ones that line the walls.
Halloween is of course not only a great holiday but his older brother's birthday. And of course they always have to go all out for Dean's birthday. This one is going to last a good week. A grin as he watches Nolan walk by and jump almost out of his skin when the skeleton, in the doorway, screams bloody murder. How a skeleton would be able to talk or let alone scream is beyond Gage, but Nolan's reaction was exactly what he had hoped.
"Watch out for the witch up there on the second floor, she likes little boys." Gage grins as Nolan walks over and purses his lips at him.
"Very funny Gage. This is going to scare the crap out of the little kids you know?" Nolan leans against the wall and watches Gage, he has to laugh that there is spider webs all over Gage's hair, and shirt.
Gage chuckles and goes back to putting the webbing back up. "I know, but, we'll take down the really scary stuff before they show up tomorrow. Tonight is just for the grown ups. Spiking the punch, bands playing, dancing, other stuff." His eye brows lift and he grins but then curses again as the webbing is all over his hands and not the ceiling or even wall now.
"Good luck with that." Nolan scrunches up his nose and walks on out of the room. "Later Gage."
"Later bro." Gage calls out to him then goes about trying to get the spider web off his hands. "Wonderful." He grumbles and climbs off the ladder. An upnod to Cook as he walks into the kitchen and he grabs a water from the fridge. "You got that huge cake done, Cook?"
"Betta believe it, 'ook me darn well an hour ta even mix tha' batta." Cook picks up his dishrag and keeps cleaning off the counters.
"I appreciate it." Gage smiles and heads on out of the kitchen. He looks around the large living room that has now had its center cleared out. Everything against the walls, only a few couches left. The whole house is lit with candles for tonights events. DJ has been booked, even Regretful Descension and Vital Chaos, are playing tonight. Dean will love that and it will give the bros a free concert. Hell yeah.
Gage flops down on the couch and takes another sip of his water bottle. Green blues look over to the huge buffet laid out as well. Only a few hours to go and all the non perishable food is now out, later it will have everything from steak to seafood, cakes to candy, beer to liquor. Anything you could ask for is going to be on that buffet table. And just for Dean, a whole section of nothing but pumpkin cake, pumpkin pie, pumpkin smoothies, candy, everything pumpkin. The cake that Cook slaved over for hours is going to be a huge homage to Dean's favorite character, from Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack Skellington.
Gage grins again. This party is going to be great, he puts the bottle of water down on the table so he can rest back, put his arms behind his head and grin even more proudly. Thanking the Gods above that Jaden gave the OK to go all out, otherwise, he'd be a dead man right now when Jaden sees it all.
