The Fraternity President settles back in his leather chair, his hand resting on the large list of more, and more lists and papers that he must go through for the day.

A smile on his lips as he hears some of the brothers outside his window, playing yet another football game. The weather finally nice for such things. Such things as walks, picnics, spending time outdoors again. His fingers lightly caress over the papers, dark brown eyes glance to the grandfather clock across his desk, the familiar ticking, golden hand moving its way around.

Gathering a piece of paper with one hand, the other reaches for the pen and he begins to write.

Daisy,
It is such a beautiful day outside, and I can think of no other that I would like to spend it with. Would you do me the honor of accepting my invitation to a picnic in the park, perhaps even a walk after. I miss you dearly and would be overjoyed if you were to meet me today. I will have Cook create us a decadent lunch, blanket and wine included of course.

I will await your arrival in the park.

Yours,
Jaden E. Linares

Folding up the letter he slides it into an appropriate envelope and closes it. Rising up from his desk he walks to the door and out, motioning to one of the younger brothers that happens to walk by.

"Could you please take this to the post, tell them to not delay. I want it delivered to Eddie as soon as possible." He smiles at his little brother. The boy nods and rushes on out the door. Jaden descends the stairs to the living room. A wave to all the brothers that happen to be in the living room, horror movies on as usual, that causes Jaden to laugh and shake his head.

Once inside the kitchen he smiles very sweetly to Cook. "I plan on a picnic with Eddie. And I hear you are the best cook around." He chuckles and leans against the counter. Cook laughs and nods, the old man knew exactly what Eddie and Jaden would like to have on their picnic and goes about it.

"You are a treasure." Jaden chuckles and turns to go back through the living room and up the stairs. He plans to keep it simple today, jeans and a t-shirt. Finally a day without a suit, a day to relax with the one he adores. Once dressed and freshly showered, he goes back down to the kitchen and gathers the basket, blanket and flowers. A wink to Cook as he heads to the door and decides to walk to the park. Waves all around as the President takes his leave from the compound.

It was a short walk really, and he takes the time to lay out the blanket next to the tree they had been at so long ago. The wine goblets and food all out and laying on the blanket just perfectly as he can. Fresh fruit, small finger sandwiches, even a small chocolate cake, all around the blanket is daises for decoration. Only for her would he do any of this and he tries to show her just how special she is to him.

He leans back against the tree, a daisy in his hand as he waits for her.

It was the first bright day of spring, and Eddie was working in the Sanctuary garden when the knock came at the door. She looked a sight - dirt smeared on her cheeks and fingers, her hair all wild, but she recognized the young man as one of the Brothers, and took the note from him with a smile. Tearing it open, Eddie fairly squealed - and she tore down the hall towards her room. She couldn't meet Jaden looking like this!

In no time flat, Eddie was ready - her hair pulled back into its usual high tail, her bangs just falling into her eyes. She decided on a cute pair of belted black jeans, a black tee, and little sandals. Her blades and chakra were left on her bed - she didn't need weapons for a picnic, especially not a picnic with her Jaden. With one last peek in the mirror, Eddie flew out the front door of the Sanctuary.

The park wasn't all that far, especially for one as fleet-footed as Eddie. She knew exactly where he'd be waiting - and when she saw that blanket decorated with daisies, all the fruits she liked, their favorite little sandwiches from their trip, the wine glasses, and the cake - she went all rosy. Seeing Jaden leaning back against the tree, his brown eyes gazing up at her - that made her smile brighter than the springtime sun. Eddie curled up next to Jaden, kissing his cheek as she took the daisy from his hand.

"I hope I'm not too late."

Jaden's face lit up the moment he could see Eddie walking along, getting closer to him. She had the way of doing that for him. He could be having a very long and difficult day, all that he would need is to gaze at her smiling face and everything else is forgotten.

"Good evening." He smiles as she comes that much closer and takes the daisy from his hand. And as she curls up next to him, as if full instinct, his arm goes around her shoulders to pull her in that much closer. Dark brown eyes close for that small kiss to his to his cheek, they open slowly to gaze at her once again.

"Not late at all, Daisy." He whispers softly, the hand that had been holding the daisy lifts up to caress her cheek, even to brush a bit of her bangs from her eyes. He can gaze into her eyes for eternity. "The morning was a long and tiring one, far too beautiful to be spending it indoors. Especially when I would want to spend it with the woman I so adore." He smiles softly and leans in to place the sweetest of kisses on her lips.

Leaning back after the small, delicate kiss, he smiles and keeps his arm around her shoulders, not wanting to let her go, even if he must so they can enjoy their lunch. "How was your day?" His dark brown eyes go back to her face. His other hand reaching to twine his fingers with her small hand.

"I did not pull you from something important, I hope."

Eddie's smile was soft as she cuddled next to Jaden, tucking the daisy into her ponytail as he drew her closer. Everyone else saw the tough-as-nails fighter - the little Judge with feet of fury. Only Jaden saw her softer side - the side that loved the way he looked in her eyes, like she was the most beautiful girl in the world.

"I can't imagine a better way to spend the first nice day of spring, than sitting right here in the sunshine with the best thing that's ever happened to me."

That sweet, delicate kiss lingered - Eddie forgot all about the lunch, the wine - even the chocolate cake. She nuzzled her forehead against his, her cheeks all rosy as her fingers twined in his - pressing gently against the brushed gold ring she never ever took off.

"I was just going to run through an exercise or two - nothing as important as being here with you."

He watches as she slides the daisy into her ponytail, his fingers moving to touch that silky hair for a moment. His fingers run though it and even a soft sigh escapes him. To him, nothing on this woman could be anything, but soft and perfect.

Slight color arises his cheek to her words of admiration of him. He nods slightly and fully agrees that they are in fact the best things to ever happen to each other. To him there is and will be no other that means this much to him. "You are very special to me, as well, Eddie. I hope that you know this to be more then true."

And the kiss, even as small yet sweet it is, causes that feeling in Jaden, that feeling as if it was the first kiss. Every kiss they shared would cause this feeling in him. He smiles as the kiss breaks and their foreheads touch. His hand moving from her hair to her cheek once more, gliding along the delicate skin.

"Yes, paperwork and such is hardly enough to keep me away from you know." He chuckles a bit before leaning back and closing his eyes for a moment, the hand holding hers gives her hand a gentle squeeze.

However, dark brown eyes open again and he gazes down at her face with a smile. "All is well at the Sanctuary?" He says with a bit of softness to his voice, not wanting to break this wonderful and enchanted moment with her.

"My brothers are all very well, more then safe under your watch, I hear. Even the smaller boys try to stay indoors at night now, knowing that you will be watching for them." He chuckles with a slight smirk. "Behaving is not something I expected them to do, I will take it though." He nods and his fingers still caress her cheek, down to her chin and he smiles once more, a smile that is meant only for her.

"Are you famished as I am?"

Magic was something Eddie never understood - so-called "powers" other people whipped around the Inn, that's what she thought magic was. That is, until she met Jaden. This moment, curled up under their tree - his fingers lightly caressing her cheek, the way he smiled at her - the look in his eyes that was only for her - it was pure magic.

Jaden's voice in her ear only added to the enchantment. "We're all doing OK - all things considered." Eddie squeezed Jaden's hand - she'd told him about all the stuff going down in the West End, about the dreams she was having again - reassuring him without breaking the spell.

Her smile brightened as she thought about all Jaden's brothers - especially the younger ones, all the children - they were all part of her family too. "I can't believe how big they're all getting - I hardly recognized Taylor and Tyler." She nuzzled her forehead against his, still smiling. "I'm glad they're all behaving for you..."

As Jaden's fingers traced her chin, Eddie felt her color rise - the magic of the moment lingering as she leaned in closer to him. "I am - but everything's all... over there...."

Their lips brushed again in another sweet, soft kiss - the whole world disappearing in the enchanted afternoon.

Jaden nods as she speaks well of the Sanctuary and her sisters. He does indeed know all about the goings ons and never does stop worrying just a bit. However Jaden knows that Eddie is fully aware that he worries for her and family alike, no need to speak of it on a day such as this.

Soft chuckle at the mentioning of the twins. "Oh, yes. They are growing quite quickly. They will be taller then I before we will even know it. The other little ones are doing well." He nods and looks into her eyes as she nuzzles her face close to his. His hand still caressing her cheek and a smile on his lips.

The bit of blush on Eddie's cheeks make Jaden smile more, caressing her ever more gently then before. "It would only take a moment for me to..." And he reaches his hand out, not even moving from the warm embrace to do so, fingers grasp onto a piece of watermelon and he brings it back. A soft chuckle.

However he is met with a kiss and the piece of fruit for now is forgotten. The small yet sweet kiss continues until he reluctantly pulls back just a bit to bring the piece of watermelon to her lips. "You really do look absolutely beautiful today, Daisy. I fear I will lose myself right here with you and never want to move again. Unfortunately I think my brothers would send out a search party by nightfall. Seeing as how they do not seem to think I ever leave that house." He chuckles.

Eddie giggled as Jaden lightly touched her lips with the cube of watermelon, taking a small bite. She stetched out one hand - with a bit more effort since her arms were shorter - and took a piece of canteloupe, offering it to Jaden with a grin. a stray bit of juice teased at the corner of her mouth.

"Your brothers will prbably get in touch with my Sisters - as I don't see myself going anywhere, anytime soon."

Her smile softened as she took another nibble of the watermelon. "We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day...."
