The Fraternity President settles back in his leather chair, his hand resting on the large list of more, and more lists and papers that he must go through for the day.
A smile on his lips as he hears some of the brothers outside his window, playing yet another football game. The weather finally nice for such things. Such things as walks, picnics, spending time outdoors again. His fingers lightly caress over the papers, dark brown eyes glance to the grandfather clock across his desk, the familiar ticking, golden hand moving its way around.
Gathering a piece of paper with one hand, the other reaches for the pen and he begins to write.
Daisy,
It is such a beautiful day outside, and I can think of no other that I would like to spend it with. Would you do me the honor of accepting my invitation to a picnic in the park, perhaps even a walk after. I miss you dearly and would be overjoyed if you were to meet me today. I will have Cook create us a decadent lunch, blanket and wine included of course.
I will await your arrival in the park.
Yours,
Jaden E. Linares
Folding up the letter he slides it into an appropriate envelope and closes it. Rising up from his desk he walks to the door and out, motioning to one of the younger brothers that happens to walk by.
"Could you please take this to the post, tell them to not delay. I want it delivered to Eddie as soon as possible." He smiles at his little brother. The boy nods and rushes on out the door. Jaden descends the stairs to the living room. A wave to all the brothers that happen to be in the living room, horror movies on as usual, that causes Jaden to laugh and shake his head.
Once inside the kitchen he smiles very sweetly to Cook. "I plan on a picnic with Eddie. And I hear you are the best cook around." He chuckles and leans against the counter. Cook laughs and nods, the old man knew exactly what Eddie and Jaden would like to have on their picnic and goes about it.
"You are a treasure." Jaden chuckles and turns to go back through the living room and up the stairs. He plans to keep it simple today, jeans and a t-shirt. Finally a day without a suit, a day to relax with the one he adores. Once dressed and freshly showered, he goes back down to the kitchen and gathers the basket, blanket and flowers. A wink to Cook as he heads to the door and decides to walk to the park. Waves all around as the President takes his leave from the compound.
It was a short walk really, and he takes the time to lay out the blanket next to the tree they had been at so long ago. The wine goblets and food all out and laying on the blanket just perfectly as he can. Fresh fruit, small finger sandwiches, even a small chocolate cake, all around the blanket is daises for decoration. Only for her would he do any of this and he tries to show her just how special she is to him.
He leans back against the tree, a daisy in his hand as he waits for her.
