Here she was at the castle that was Khest and his wife's home, and none too happy about, she was going to live with the Shadow Lord only because her father wanted to keep her safe for some odd reason, she was a Black Mage after all graduated top of her class and was the only one in her age group that could use a third ranked spell. She didn't even want to be here after Khest spanked her and very sharply at that she was still fealing the sting from his hand even after using a small Blizzard spell to cool it off. But despite all this she knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer glaring at the door as if daring it to open.

The door creaked open and a tall, pale-grey skinned ShadowElf Male, dressed in a long grey robe and black, spiked armor opened the gate. He stood over her small frame at least a foot taller then her, a long spear in hand. This guard opened the doors, the very large doors of the castle, which stood at a height of some 60 feet. Two very big statues of menacing Black Dragons, stood in silent pose, as if watching the girl.

"Are you Lucretzia? Young girl?" Said the guard in a gruff, cool voice.

"Their Majesties are awaiting you in the Main Library. Come with me and touch nothing.."

His words spoken as a command. The doors opening into a very long, and vastly huge, Arched and Pillared Hallway, decorated with Black and White Banners fluttering in the wind, torches burned on each pillar. Yet did not provide much light, yet casted long, deep and gloomy shadows.

She folloew the man not caring it was dim, she could see though she could never explain it until now, she was a Half Demon. She looked around and noticed the castle looked rather pleasent on the inside. She was tempted to touch some of the things here but the damn elf would probably tell Khest and she did not want a repeat of what happened and stopmed after him fuming slightly.

The guard lead the young girl to the Library after a maddening series of twists and turns, going up and down stairs, both long and short. Passing by yet more doors and hallways, this place was of an epic scale in size. And who knew how many secret passages and hidden doors there might be in this place. And of course the many fine things she did see. Finely made Paintings, Marble Busts, Statues, suits of well made Armor, large Tapestries. So on and so forth, Khest was without a doubt, very wealthy.

Lucretzia was finally brought to her destination, the Main Castle Library, a vast, vaulted room some six storeys high. It belonged more in a University then a Castle. There were row upon row of bookshelves. There sitting by the large Marble and Bronze Fireplace, in a large throne-like chair was Khest, reading a large and old book.

"Welcome Lucretzia, to my home."

She stared in wonder at the books then was brought back to reality by Khest's words. She couldn't help the glare that came to her face, to her glaring was as natural as casting magick.

"I'm here now what?" forgrtting to keep her tone respectful and quickly apologized.

She let her eyes gander at the selection of books again and saw a section devoted to magick and hoped whatever Khest had to say was quick because she wanted to take a look at it.

He stood up and looked down at the small girl. He noted her smart tongue, but that she quickly appologized.

"Yes Lucretzia, well to show you the place where you will study and learn while you stay here. Each day for 3 hours you will come here to learn from a tutor."

He regarded to her all the books she would study from.

"Now this of course you will do after doing chores arround the castle. This you will follow, each day, save on sixth and seventh days of the week. If you are going to stay here, you will do your part to earn your keep."

He sighed and wrapped his arm arround his wife's back. Regarding her lovely eyes, he kissed Shal. Then Khest turned back his gaze to Lucretzia.

"Very well, she will only study, but it will be five hours a day, five days a week of study here each day."

She watched Shal walk in and come to her aid thankful, though she wouldn't say it her pride was too great and she hated that, for she had never done chores in her life. She nodded in agreement to the regiment set for her.

"And what shall I do the other two days?" Highly curious at what Khest had planned. "I hope it isn't something crazy, sir."

She forced herself to say that last part for she didn't want to sound rude to either of them for she didn't want to go to bed hungry for she liked the taste of raw meet and bloodwine after sampling it.

He chuckled at Lucretzia's statement of him being crazy, and patted the Girl's head.

"No my child, nothing crazy, you may play in the Gardens or the Atrium. You may even see the lands of the Realm and the City. But only as long as you are under my or Shal's watch. You will not be alone while in our care. This is all we ask, alright?"

She once again nodded in agreement, not trusting her mouth to say something appropriate, and sat near Shal glancing every now and then at the book she was reading. She was somewhat glad that there was someone female to talk to, if she would keep a civil tounge she knew she would have no preblem, to help her understand how be with a Lord of the Creatures of Darkness and how to act appropriate.

"And now that we have that issue taken care of. Where should we setup Lucretzia's room? my love?" He asked of Shal.

"Much of this castle is not exactly habitable, many rooms have been left to fall apart. I suppose I did so out of apathapy, for I did not care about such things."

He pondered and would await his wife's gentle wisdom on this matter.

He nodded his head and then kissed his wife, smiling at her.

"Yes indeed my dear, that would be a good place for a room, for Lucretzia to stay, its roomy enough. I'll have the maids fix it up real nice."

He turned to the young demon Girl.."What say you Lucretzia?"

*returning her husbands kiss smiling at him before looking at Lucretzia nodding*

Darling, have the maids put in the basic furniture, I think if Lucretzia is to live here a while, she may wish to decorate her own room to suit herself, all women do darling

"That would be nice, thank you," she said as politely as possible, smiling at her guardians hoping it didn't come as a shock to them that she could actually smile instead of just frowning or glaring.

"Khest?" she asked looking at the library again. "Are there any books on Demonic Fire?"

She was curious as how demons like her father were able to use their unique fire so easily.
