Howard lifted his goblet with a nod seemingly of approval for the couple and gulped at the remaining contents. Iolani too had downed her glass of wine, releasing the poor maids shoulder only after obtaining another full glass. She couldn?t shake the feeling of having lost a battle. Her fight had barely begun here, Aubrianna was certainly not out of the woods, but the cause was not a loss. Despite knowing those facts, tears invaded her eyes as she sipped on the cool liquid. Nostrils flared as she blinked the waterworks back. She would not cry especially not for this. She looked around most people were not paying her much mind, and those that were seemed to have had more wine than there body could stand

Aubrianna couldn't see a thing by the time she reached the grand stair case. Her eyes were filled with tears from her freedom being taken and to a man who seemed to be different tonight. And Iolani, she hadn?t had enough time with the woman who swears her life is in danger.

Gloria fell into step with the girl steering her to the apartment Iolani had set up with her earlier. "Come dear there isn't much time.?

Aubrianna jumped at Gloria's touch. "Oh Gloria," she fell weakly against the woman as she was led away.

?You have to get out of here." She hesitated only slightly before adding, ?Your dear fianc? has struck a deal with a demon. Iolani was sure there was going to be a move tonight and came by earlier. There are clothes to change into. She will come for you soon."

"What?" She pulled back studying her face. Gloria had spoken so fast that Aubrianna felt as if she were spinning. "Leaving? I...to where? My home is here. You are here." She struggled to stay calm, and was losing the battle. ?A?a demon??

Gloria's face was pale but sturdy, she had been waiting for this day to come, and she just wished that it wasn't so soon. "You must get ready to leave. I will be fine. I believe you are to go to your aunt?s home for a time to wait out the evening.?

?Mother and Father were only children Gloria,? she squinted her eyes at the woman. ?Has everyone been possessed? Am I the only one that finds this whole change of the past odd??

?Yes my child but all will be explained to you when you are safe. From your aunt?s house plans will be set to go from there. I can not promise that I will be able to follow you but I will see you again child." She had hoped that was true but couldn't help feel her life was forfeit from that moment on. Gloria pushed Aubrianna into the apartment. "Change quickly dear," and moved away down the hall, she knew she had to buy time for the women but she wasn?t quite sure how.

Aubrianna was still in shock as she watched Gloria leave. Turning her back to the door her chin quivering as she stares at the clothes laid on the bed. "But why?"
