Distinguishing Marks: Tattoos of black ink start just below the wrist and wind up both arms in geometric patterns, terminating at the shoulders.
Occupation: Detective and Consulting Wizard primary, Magic Shop owner and high functioning alcoholic secondary
Family: Unknown and not a subject of conversation.
Partner / Significant Other: Partner & Teacher to Quinn Heartt, the woman has him entirely under her spell.
Friends: Mary Marlowe (former partner), Bob ("enslaved" demigod and thorn in his side), Ben Sullivan (ower of debts, fellow detective)
Skills: Many and varied. By no means limited to but including; cooking, dancing, drinking, piano, stage magic, real magic, sleight of hand, escapology, pick pocket, misdirection, boxing, kick boxing, kung fu, bojitsu, sharp shooting, locating missing items / people, reading people, solving mysteries, sleeping, and spending days in his bathrobe. Rick has had 88 years to acquire and perfect his skills.
Magical Abilities: Jack of All Trades, Master of None. Rick has an enormous talent for learning magic from all schools and walks of life but has shown no serious talent or untapped potential for any specific style. He has a tendency to rely heavily on rune or circle magic to bolster his own rather moderate levels of power.
Note(s): Objects of high technology, ie smart phones and computers, have a tendency to stop functioning in the prolonged presence of Rick Spade. Also, the nature of Rick's apparent age is related to a Curse so awful it needs to be capitalized -- the origin of the Curse and related side effects are not appropriate to post in a public thread, sorry!
Items / Artifacts / Etc: 9 times of 10, Rick carries his now infamous Victory Model Smith & Wesson, whose weight and aim he knows perfectly. Other items are mostly limited to potions and artifacts selected for the case at hand.
