Mara hails from Earth; from the mean streats of Los Angeles. She was an often misunderstood, mistreated, and misguided teen. Born with the gifts of empathy and clairvoyance, it was no wonder she turned to the "goth" culture, and that of the dominanat and submissive realm. She struggled with her gifts until the age of 15, when found by Zillah Blackthorne, a half Fae visiting the city on business. He sensed her powers, her confusion, and her near madness, and took her in.

Training with the most brilliant true clairvoyants of Europe, Mara proved to be a wise investment. She was magnificent and of indispensible help to Dalia in her magickal works. Zillah always did have an eye for jewels in the rough.

Once Mara had outgrown her teacher's, the Blackthorne siblings took her in as their slave, student, lover, and pet. Mara had developed a taste for pain long before she met them, and they were always willing to oblige her dark tastes. Dalia and Zillah grew to love Mara quickly, often indulging in their taboo pleasures. Mara was given a fairly loose reign, having proved her devotion and loyalty time and time over.

Mara soon learned that it was she who held the power in the Blackthorne household, and soon broke free of the brother and sister team. She was taken as a tutor, and then as a lover by Mara's one and only true love, LadyRaven. Mara was later forced to fight, and ultimately kill, Zillah Blackthorne. Dalia then came after her, seeking revenge, but was circumvented in this by an untimely date with a Master Daemon whom she owed much to. Belle De'Morte had a hand in this, it is thought.
