Cinder Kaldra

Cinder Kaldra: -the faun had made her way to the edge of the woods, wearing the blue blouse and that collection of beaded chains around her waist, she carried the basket which was a good deal lighter than it had been earlier in the evening, her backpack was secured on her back by its straps, she was headed down a trail that would take her deeper into the woods, one she knew well, as she had walked it many times-

The Seven-Tooth Tribe: -deep in the woods a group of the small folk had been hunting, foraging for food, the snows this winter had put a damper on gathering food for the goblin clan, their head hunter and tracker had fallen ill so it was left to lesser ranks to bring back what they could, but at the moment it was a group of four who were in the woods together tonight, a female witch dressed in a brown cloth bag with a place for her head and arms torn out of the material, a very old hat on her head and a crude stick of yew wood as a staff, a male fighter who carried a dog-slicer (a short sword, which would have been considered a dagger to bigger folk) with a jagged blade with holes in the length of the metal blade and crudely crafted leather armor, A rogue who wears a better quality armor than his brother and carries a knife, he had scorch marks on his clothes as if he had been struck by lightning in the recent past and a young-ling goblin who had no role tagged along, the witch, the fighter and the tag along...here busy forging for roots while the rogue was watching the trail, he knew there had been traffic on this trail..he had seen it before, maybe they would get lucky tonight-

Cinder Kaldra: -Cinder walked along in thought, she held the basket in the crook of her left arm, the walk home from the city was usually peaceful at this time of night, though she found it a bit cold she only used her natural born ability to let her body heat rise, so that it was a bit more comfortable to walk, she had eaten more than she usually would have at the inn and felt a bit tired, her mind wondered to those she had met tonight, then back to Mach, she wondered about the man, her thoughts running with her mind as she walked through the woods, the moon lighting the trail very dimly through the trees. her hooves carried her along, they knew the trail home well, she hummed softly as she moved-

The Seven-Tooth Tribe: -the three goblins looking for roots, herbs and potatoes, all looked up as the rogue put fingers to his lips- "shhh" -the rogue's long ears flicked softly, he heard something coming through the woods, he motioned with a hand and slipped behind a bush, the other three would drop their meager finds, all hunkering down near the trail, two on each side, the three watched the trail silently waiting for whatever it was the rogue had heard, the little witch giggled, to which the fighter reached over ..
The Seven-Tooth Tribe: and slapped her on the back of that witch-hat covered head, there was a little snort that came from her but then the fighter pointed down the trail for, motioning to watch-

Cinder Kaldra: -the faun came around a bend on the trail, her thoughts had shifted, it wouldn't be too much father now and she would be closer to home and a nice warm fireplace, her home was quiet a walk from the city through the woods, she was thinking of how to most that happened by her home appeared to be no more than a hillside, she could picture it even now as she walked, she wasn't paying much attention to the darkness around her-

The Seven-Tooth Tribe: -the goblins stayed hidden watching and they all grinned their little wide mawed grins as they saw the faun come around the bend in the woods, to the three who had never seen her before she looked like a meal itself, the fleshy bits aside, the goat-like flanks, they thought would be good food, they had seen the basket too...the rogue's grin turned into a snarl as he recognized the faun, he would slink through the undergrowth closer to the path, the others would find places for the impending ambush and wait-

Cinder Kaldra: -Cinder walked along the path..she hadn't had any reason for alarm as she moved forward in that relaxed gait, her hooves making that ever soft clip-clop on the earth beneath them, the basket was shifted to the bend of her right arm as the weight of it was causing the left to need a rest, a slight movement of her shoulders to adjust the pack, she would hum a little in a soft sigh as she continued to move, homeward bound-

The Seven-Tooth Tribe: -the goblin fighter would wait until the faun was nearly in front of him, that's when he would leap from behind the bush and give a snarling growl as he slashed at her with the dog-slicer- "rrrrggghhhh!" -the shield was brought up protectively in front of him- -the witch popped up onto a small boulder nearby and raised her arms in a, if not comical, a somewhat scary growl the end of the staff glowed green- "aaggrrhh" -the tag along would watch for now--the rogue was waiting and once the others jumped out he would sneak up behind her, waiting but flanking her-

Cinder Kaldra: -Cinder's eyes widened as they snapped back to focus, shock went through her and she brought up the basket as if it were a shield, the wicker of it took the brunt of the oncoming attack, she then swung it at the goblin with the jagged looking sword, she gave a little scream of surprise as the female goblin popped up on the boulder beside her and stepped back and to the side-

The Seven-Tooth Tribe: -the fighter growled and held onto the hilt of the weapon- "oo goat lady fight!" -he grinned and brought a low swipe toward her legs, blocking swing of the basket with the shield, the witch cackled and reached out just before the faun stepped away from her, a green glow went through her fingers and into the faun and would cover her from head to hoof in greenish glow for a second- "sing a song..,.sing like a frog!-she giggled at the faun--the rouge would step back so not to be felt or seen behind the faun for the moment he was ready and a green-blue liquid was dripping along his blade from a broken chamber near his little clawed hand-

Cinder Kaldra: -the blade of the sword that was swung at her legs missed her left but caught the right and she screamed out, but as she screamed the witch had touched her and the remainder of the scream came out in a loud croak, she was shocked and startled, the basket was dropped as she brought a hand up, the flames were already at her fingertips she willed them to gather in the palm of her hand and she threw the flame at the short fighter, blood was dripping through the fur of her right leg near the reversed joint of her knee, she backed up trying to move, to get away from these little brutes, her heart racing, she attempted to call out for help, hoping someone could hear her but another series of ribbits and croaks came from her in place of words-

The Seven-Tooth Tribe: -the fighter screamed and yelled as he was set ablaze and started running in circles, until he fell and used the snowy earth to put out the flames, his shield and sword were scattered....the witch cackled in laughter as she heard the ribbits, she saw the flames that had been cast front he fauns hand and would growl- "no hurt brother with fire ..goat frog!" -the witch would point the staff toward the faun and a ray of frost would shoot from the green glowing head of it on a direct course to the furry legged one, the little witch was dancing around on the boulder, giggling- -the rogue laughed and would go in for a sneak attack- "goat-lady make good meal...no have lightning in hand!" -he made a slash of the coated blade into the back of the furred left leg- "you not roast us...we roast you.!" -he grinned-

Cinder Kaldra: -Cinder moved trying to dodge the icy blast, it caught her in the left shoulder, she gasped out in pain, several small painful gasps and a cry that was garbled with a croak, then she took the blade swipe to the back of her left leg, the pain made her stumble forward..blood spattered the snow and she turned around, she knew that voice..shrill and little, she remembered that little goblin, he had attacked her before, she brought her hands together and cast a cone of fire down at the rogue, panic and flame in her eyes-

The Seven-Tooth Tribe: -the rogue screamed out in a little painful scream, the fire burnt the remaining hair from his head, any cloth he wears was burned to cinders, the little bits of metal started to melt, he gave a scream as he was made into a small torch and then the heat intensified and he was soon nothing but a pile of bone and ash, the witch went wide eyed and fell backwards off the boulder, she and the tag along hid, that was for sure, the goblin fighter screamed and ran toward Cinder, he had no weapons, just claws and teeth, he would leap up and use the backpack on this nasty fauns back to cling to as he bit into her right shoulder- "raaaggghh"

Cinder Kaldra: -Cinder was toppled as pain shot through her neck and shoulder and blood was spattering the ground, the goblin that was biting her latched on would send her down hard onto her face, she thought for a moment that she was going to be killed and drug off by them, panic came to her as she tried to think of what to do, she was reaching up trying to pry the goblins mouth from her shoulder, tears trailing down her cheeks, she screamed out but it only came as loud croaking, she moved her fingers to the only pouch on her belt and her fingers worked the only pouch on one of the chains of beads at her waist open, fingers found two of the sticks that Mach had given her, the caltrops, she brought her hand up and broke the sticks, closing her eyes tight as they were right next to her face and the goblins, they popped and crackled with electricity, she gladly took any damage they did to her if it would get this goblins teeth out of her flesh-

The Seven-Tooth Tribe: -the fighter had been burnt by flame and now the lightening was sending shocks into his face and all that bright and flashing electricity, he unlatched his jaw and yelped as he scrambled off of her a bit blinded, he yelped and backpedaled ...that was when the other two the witch and that young-ling would pop up and the three would hightail it into the woods...leaving the faun and their gathered goods from earlier scattered on the ground-

Cinder Kaldra: -Cinder gasped for breath as she laid there on the trail, she cried out but that only seemed to mock her with frog sounds, she had a jagged looking bite mark left on her right shoulder, the ray of frost had left her feeling chilled and drained a layer of frost was covering her left shoulder, her legs throbbed from wounds, one was on the front of her right leg nearly half way down and the other was on the back of the left leg, the one there was bloody and deep and oozed with greenish-blue through her fur, she shivered and her vision slowly started to blur, she had to get home, she got her hooves beneath ther somehow and managed to sit up, she felt the world spinning some around her, she got to her feet and started slowly moving one hoof in front of the other.....the broken basket with its leftovers inside laid turned over on the trail..blood spattering the ground and snow in that little stretch of trail she left behind..-
