Renee walked up the drive, the stairs and in through the door, worn backpack over her shoulder and eyes rolling left and right, up and down over this place that had welcomed her over the many months Rhy'Din had been a home and even when it hadn't, this place still bid her and served as a retreat.

Indigo eyes did not flash, did not glow, did not ebb their strange hypnotic cast, they were often lowered these days, her face thoughtful, cigarette held out as she stared at the window, the gray sky, the birds, the clouds, or the bustle of the crowds down the road heading for the market.

In haste, once she had taken a couple moments to take in the place, the changes, the absence of another face, she quietly moved upstairs and towards her room. A hand reached out, elbow out, and she pushed weight into the door, giving only just at first, and with a grunt and a shove she was in.

Renee wandered towards her hammock, which served as a bed, or had, and lowered her bag to a chair. Undoing the buttons of her lightweight cotton jacket it joined the bag and she headed for the closet. Opening it, she reached in and felt the comforting crush of old clothes well loved and dusty, and smiled. She grabbed a faded red pillow, in the shape of a wonky loveheart, and headed for her hammock. Popping in, legs up, eyes closed, she held it close and fell asleep.
