The cowgirl Queen moved through the early morning hours on silent feet in the dark halls of their new home in search of her beloved husband. Like a shadow within the shadows out of habit she moved with a dancer's grace. Not a sound could be heard as she covered the distance between the side door downstairs and door to the office where she could see a thin line of light creeping across the hallway carpet.
A slow grin appeared along with a mischievous twinkle in navy blue eyes. So this was where her beloved husband had holed himself up while she had been out checking her numerous tiny devices. Well if he thought he was going to keep on working he obviously had another thing coming and she was just the woman to show him that fact.
Very slowly she grasped the knob and turned it while quickly slipping inside the room and silently shutting it behind her. A smile played on delicate features as she took up a deceptively casual lean against the wooden door and crossed her boots at the ankles while at the same time she crossed her arms beneath generous breasts.
"Hmm.. I see ya were burning the midnight oil Babe. I also see that there just so happens to be a bottle of that there cognac that we both do so love right there on that table beside your desk. I'm having to wonder Babe which one would ya rather be doin' tonight. Paperwork? Or having a little drink with your wife?" That smile shifted to a charming grin as she spoke to him.
He looked up at his beautiful wife. He was so tired that he just couldn't work anymore anyway. "There's no contest, my love. I'll have the drink with my wife." He set the papers aside, put his quill in the well, turned out the light and walked over to her.
Des smiled softly and opened her arms, sending them both around his waist as she welcomed him into them. Her love for him only growing as she saw how tired he was and knew how hard he had been working lately, far to hard in her opinion and she planned to change that. "Oh Babe. No more late nights working for either of us. We are gonna get us some decent hours like a respectable King and Queen would have or least like ones I think would have. I love you, Babe. Lets go out and sit in the garden over by the fountain and have us that drink. It is beauitful out tonight."
He smiled a tired smile and took her hand. ?You're right, babe. We need the time to smell the roses and enjoy each other. I'm sorry for working late. I don't think I'll do that again.?
She placed a finger across his lips quickly. "Shhhh. No sorries from those lips love of my life. I was out working too remember?" Des leaned up on tip toes to place a loving kiss to the corner of those delicious lips that she so adored kissing then smiled softly to him again as she grabbed up a bottle of elven wine that they could share and lead him on outside where there were stars just waiting to gazed at and wished upon had they a mind to.
They walked towards the fountain. A table and chairs were there, as was a bench. He took the bottle from Des and the glasses too. He set them on the table and filled the glasses and then walked her over to the bench and sat down.
Her Majesty waited until His Majesty was comfortable then she sat down and turned her back so that she was leaning back against him and could look up at the stars with her glass cradled between her hands. "You know I'm very happy here now that we have this home in town. But I do miss the country Babe. It is still a little noisey in town for me."
He nodded, "You're right, Des. I think I'll contact Thulin Nel and ask him to set up the portal so that we can get to Pine Ridge quickly. I also still want to see your ranch."
She took a sip of the excellent wine and smiled softly as he mentioned the very person that she was getting ready to bring up. "Fancy you bringing up Thulin because I was going to ask ya if maybe he could come and visit us and perhaps put some kind of..."
She paused trying to remember what she had read in the book at the library where she had gone to look up some magical spells just last week. "... dampening I think it was. Spell to help cut down on the noise. They talked about this here kind of spell that a mage can set that will help to keep out noise and such things Babe. Have you heard of that before?"
He was surprised she knew of that. "Yes, love. I know that well. Thulin can do that for us. I'll bring him here. He'll have to come for this side of the portal anyway." His arm was around her, holding her hand in his. "You think of everything, baby. I love that."
She now had her gardens with her fountain, hot springs and no more town noises very soon, the sexiest most romantic husband that loved her more than she had ever dreamed possible.
Life couldn't get any better than this she decided as she turned her head and smiled lovingly to Gavilean who whether he really knew it or not was the only man that really existed in her eyes. "It just will make it more homey I was thinkin' Babe that's all. I went and looked it all up at the library. If you could have one wish right this very minute what would it be Babe?"
He looked into those dark blue eyes and thought for a bit. "That's a good question, Des. With you in my life, I already feel that all my wishes have been granted. Perhaps, I'd wish for a family. Not right away, mind you," he added hurriedly, "but when the time is right for us. I want you to be the mother of my children. What do you think of that wish, Des?"
A twinkle appeared in navy blue as it held cobalt steady, one hand coming up to cradle his jaw lovingly while she stretched against him to place a tender kiss to his lips before pulling back to whisper against them. "I would be very honored to be the mother of your children Gavilean Starfare. Shall we go on upstairs and see if we can't.. umm.. see about having some little ones to turn that gorgeous hair of yours grey?"
He laughed and then got very serious, "Would they really make my hair grey?" His eyes were wide with fear. Then he grinned, "It's worth the risk! Let's go!"
They finished their drinks, and under the influence of a beautiful night and some elven wine, but mostly of the incredible amount of love they held for one another, they went back into the mansion an up the stairs to their master suite. There before the bed, Gavilean pulled off his boots and socks. Then he took off his shirt and stood, leaning against the wall with his thumb tucked into the top of his pants. "Okay, lover, now it's your turn."
