Jewell sent out several letters before she left RhyDin to find some sort of peace of mind.

Des,
I'm sorry I won't be able to make it to your wedding, darling. I'm having trouble coping with a few things right now and I'm taking leave of RhyDin to deal with them.

Ignore what everyone else says and don't be afraid to love Gav with all your heart, you two deserve it and I know you'll be happy together.

Don't forget to collect gossip for me so I know whats-what when I return.
Love Jewell

Des recognized the handwriting spelling out her name, smiled delightedly, and took the letter with her onto the balcony. Before gracefully sinking down onto one of the chairs at the table she paused to give her sexy fianc? a lingering kiss that interrupted him drinking his own morning coffee and correspondence reading.

Absently raking a hand through her wet hair as she opened the letter she smiled her thanks across the table to Gav for the cup of coffee he had poured and fixed for her just like she liked it before turning her gaze back and reading what had been written.

?Aww. Jewell took time out from her getting ready to leave for a while to let me know that she can?t make it to the wedding but she is supporting my decision to go ahead and marry ya Babe.?, she remarked not really expecting an answer just amazed that in the midst of her own troubles her friend was thoughtful enough to take the time to write her.

The cowgirl?s gaze drifted across the table to where her TDMF male sat drinking coffee and breakfasting on the spiced scones she had made before getting in the shower that morning. Des couldn?t help but smile a little cat-that-ate-the-canary kind of smile as navy blue roamed over the broad shoulders and expanse of his chest.

June eleventh couldn?t get here fast enough as far as she was concerned. Already in her heart she felt as though they were married. She couldn?t imagine spending the rest of her life with anyone else and her heart had definitely decided right where it wanted to stay until death parted them.

That thought lead to one of Jean and how short their marriage had turned out to be and she reached across the table only to find Gavilean had anticipated her need, as he so often did, and met her hand halfway across the table giving hers a squeeze as he looked into her eyes with a gaze so filled with love and understanding that she knew if she had waited a million years she never would have found anyone that she loved even half as much as she loved this man.

She had noticed her fellow bartender the last several evenings spending her time snuggled up with the self-proclaimed ?vile villain? that Des thought was really nice guy, Skyler. It wasn?t up to her to judge what was wrong and what was right because in her eyes it was your heart that you listened to not what other people might say, think, or do.

More than anything else she wanted Jewell to be happy. Just as happy as she was and so while she would miss her she would keep up with all the gossip for her, just as she had asked, and say a little prayer that by the time the Empress came back her heart would have told her what to do.
