The imposing stone walls surrounding the mansion as they approached held a feeling of security that gave way to the black iron scrollwork gate. Slanting hopeful smiling glances to her husband Des slid the key into the lock then swung the gate open and stepped through into the formal gardens where a fountain stood happily gurgling in the bright sunshine.

Hand in hand they approached the side entrance and she put another key in the door and opened it then lead him inside a hallway that lead to the left and right. Off to the right was the large kitchen and to the left were the main rooms so that was the direction she gave a tug and headed. "Over there is the kitchen Babe and that is about it except there is a cellar with a wine place and pantry and stuff like over there. I wanna go this a way though."

Gavilean?s cobalt blue eyes took in everything as they approached the mansion. The wall was in excellent shape and wouldn't need much in the way of re-pointing the mortar and making the wall look good. He liked the iron gate and the grounds appeared to be beautiful. He'd like to spend more time there later after inspecting the mansion's interior.

He followed Des through the side entrance and could detect the musty scent of a house that had been unused for a while. He took notice of where there kitchen and wine pantry was and gave Des' hand a squeeze. "Sweetheart, so far I'm thinking we could really make a nice home here. You lead the way. I'm just doing some quick inspection as we walk along.?

His words earned him a leisurely kiss right there in the hallway as she had already had her heart set on making this lovely mansion, yet not outrageously huge palace, into a home for them when they were in RhyDin. Stepping out once more she flung open the door at the end of the short hallway to reveal a music room that held a few odds and end pieces of left over furniture from the previous owner's as did the rest of the house.

She was planning on throwing everything away that had been left behind but until the place was actually theirs it remained swathed in dust covers. "I was thinking we could maybe use this room for some kind of get together place because see here Babe it goes out onto a little patio thing... " She walked over and tired to open the floor to ceiling french doors that sadly didn't budge although she was shoving with all her might on them.

He put his knuckles to his hips, looked at the music room, put out his lower lip as he nodded his head and said, "Not bad. We could really decorate this nicely. It has a nice cozy atmosphere, yet roomy. Yes, it would make a nice place to have company with the patio right outside. Our children can practice their music lessons in other places, I suppose." He gave Des that mischievous glance with a twinkle in his eye.

She crinkled her nose to him as needing it for a music room for their children hadn't occured to her and that thought gave her pause. She quit banging on the stuck doors with her hip and crossed back over to him in a slow prowl with a sassy little grin on lush lips and sparkle in navy blue that sought out cobalt blue. "That is my Babe all right always planning for the future. I do love it when my man is on top of things." She ran the fingertips of one hand down the center of his chest then spun on a heel and sauntered toward the doorway.

He put his tongue in his cheek to keep from laughing. "I just want to keep on top of you, baby." He winked and followed her sexy saunter through the doorway to the next room.

Des lead him into the drawing room through pocket doors. Her boots ringing on the hard wood floors with each step she took ahead of him. The room would easily hold between twenty-five to thirty depending on the size of the furniture they put within it. The walls were papered here in an ivory color with faint golden patterns that she couldn't quite make out what they were and wasn't really sure she wanted to to be honest. "I really like this here room Babe. It is nice and airy and I'm thinking if we left these here doors open we would have plenty of room even for one of them there state affairs that we would need to have sometimes."

He was so in love and so impressed with his wife. She was already thinking of the accommodation of the obligations they would have. He went and took her into his arms and began to sway. He words were a whisper, "Yes, and we could even dance here, alone at night." He lips moved to just beneath her ear. "Would you like that?"

A soft smile curved into place as she melted into his embrace and her arms eased around his waist to hold him close. Des loved him to the very ends of her being and beyond. Gavilean was her entire world and in his arms was right where she would spend the rest of her life if she had any say in the matter. Her voice was a quiet whisper as she replied, "I do love the way you think Babe. Dancing in the dark with you would have to be one of my very favorite ways to pass my time."

He kissed her lips and looked to the door. "Okay, baby. What's next? If there isn't a disaster by the time we get to the bedrooms, I'm convinced already!"

The cowgirl Queen wrapped both hands in fistfulls of the front of his shirt and tugged violently on the material with a gleam in her eyes as she scowled darkly at her husband. "Are you kidding me!? That's it!? That's all!? I'm gonna choke you!" And she proceeded to attempt to shake him which didn't work very well as he was much larger and stronger than she was and at times he forgot to let her shake him when she got aggravated with him.

He had that typical male 'what did I do look?' on his face as she grabbed and shook him. "What? What did I do, honey?" Being a typical clueless male, he assumed that it had something do to with the examination of the rooms.

"One measly little kiss and you standing here all sexy and handsome and tasting like my first cup of coffee in the mornin' Babe! I don't think so!" And she proceeded to attempt to drag his lips back down towards her own for a much more satisfying meeting that would linger until her lustful appetites would be more satisfied and not craving him quite so sharply as they were at the moment. At least not as hungry as they were so they could finish looking at the rest of the mansion without her outright pouncing him in a house some stranger owned.

He laughed and lowered his lips to hers and gave her a long, deep kiss in which his tongue explored and tasted every part of her mouth. When it ended he took a deep breath with dreamy eyes. "I admit, that was much better. I was just worried that someone else might be buying this mansion while we're here kissing, but I guess long kissing times in every room is okay too."

"Ack!" She laughed then made a grab for his hand and started for the door on the opposite side of the room with a shake of her head. "Ornery but I love it about ya Babe!" The door was opened and they stepped out into the main hallway which had a central stairway that branched to the left and right at it extended up to the second and third floors. The ceiling was stained glass in a bizarre pattern that made no sense to her but was quite colorful with the sun shining through it onto the white marble tiled entryway. "Look Babe! Isn't this just beautiful? I just love it!"

He looked, his head held totally back and he moved in a circle while looking up at the ceiling. "I'm surprised that such an interesting place is here in RhyDin and empty. It's gorgeous, babe! We could make this majestic! Let's go up and see the bedrooms!"

Des smiled happily to him as she scampered up the stairs to the first floor and paused on the landing there to point down the hallway in front of them. "Okay Babe right down there is a HUGE dinning room and a parlor type thingy and there is even this here great big library too that I know you will love! Also there is an office that I'll let you have because I really like the little solarium thingy like I have at the Pine Ridge place and I forgot to show you that downstairs there is this here great big room where we can have real balls and stuff like or we can just make it a great big play room for the kids. Ya got all that Babe?" Her eyes were sparkling she was so excited now as she described all the rooms on this floor to him and was ready to go up to the next.

"I got it, but I'm going to have to see all those rooms. Darling, this does sound like the absolute perfect place for us to live when here in RhyDin." Although he liked the aparatment, it was small. Besides, Jean de La Fontaine had found it and there were still lots of memories of him in that apartment.

A slight frown appeared as she turned back the way they had come and looked back down the stairs. "Umm.. Babe. I think I forgot some rooms on the first floor. But!" She turned and pointed to the right branch of the stairs. "Up there I was told is a gallery thing which is where we are to hang pictures and we can walk along and look down into the ball room from there when there is a party goin' on. It is *the* thing to do I was told Babe. And also along that stairway is where the guest suites are. We have I think four of them and then there is I believe seven or eight just plain old guest rooms over there. To the left them is what they call the *family* side of this here place. That would be our stuff." She finally ran out of air and had stop for a breath.

He smiled and took her into his arms once again. Her excitement was catching, and making him just as excited. "This is a big place, my love. We are going to need a staff to help care for it. Can you put up with them? Maybe you can do the interviews for the staff."

She smiled radiantly to him as she tipped her head back to be able to meet his gaze with her own. Both hands sliding up to rest on his shoulders as she nodded to him. "Yup! Because I figure they can stay on the public side of this here place Babe while we stay on our private side up over here. Of course I don't mind if they want to do things like come over and do some cleaning that needs to be done." She grinned impishly to her beloved husband as she teased him. She could do anything that needed to be done to see that this place became their home because she had fallen in love with it from the moment saw the fountain in the gardens out front.

"That sounds good to me, love. I'm sure the kitchen staff will be sleeping off the kitchen and the other staff have rooms that are out of the way." He paused and combed his fingers through her beautiful hair and gazed upon her. Let's see where the master suite is. I want to see where we will have our special times together."

Des melted just a bit and a soft sigh of bliss escaped as she tilted her head at the combing of his fingers through her hair. That was a gesture she loved him doing and took great pleasure in. "Okay Babe..." She actually had to shake her head to get her scattered wits back under control and her feet moving off in the correct direction which was up the left hand staircase to the third floor. She pointed out several doors as they walked down the hallway to the grand double doors at the end of it. "These here all have sitting rooms and bedrooms and bathrooms with them and this one here we could make into a nursey I'm thinkin'."

His hand moved to her waist as they walked the rooms, looking at the various bedrooms. When she mentioned 'nursery' he smiled. "Yes, love....it would make a great nursery. I love this entire place." He went to a window and looked out. He could see the water. "I love this view, hon. Let's look outside. Then let's go to the realtor and sign the papers." He looked at her and winked.

She threw her arms around him and kissed him soundly then smiled radiantly to him. Her heart so full of love and happiness she thought surely it would explode. "Yes! Yes! and Yes Babe! I love you and I love this place and I am so happy I just want all the moving and jumping from place to place to just stop Babe. I just want us to be together and to be a family with you. I want our lives to slow down and to have some kind of normal something or other with you."

"I can have a team of people come to clean out the things that were left here and do all the washing and scrubbing and painting so that it'll be ready for you do decorate. One problem babe, you'll have to do a whole LOT of shopping."

The shopping fiend laughed with delight. "That I can do my love. No problem at all but I ain't takin' that Miss Partinger with me. She stays out of this. I want her sent to the highest mountain that we own please. I want her out of here for good if ya don't mind to terrible much. I do believe that I have very good manners now my love. I know all about these here fancy parties that I will need to be givin'. I can have tea and not spill a drop now honest."

"I'll have to think about what mountain to send Miss Partinger too.? He took her hand and they went down to the first floor, checked out the other rooms, then exited into the back yard. "So, what do we have out here, love? Any pool or hot tub?"

Content now that her nemesis had been at long last dealt with she moved in time with him as though they were dancing. Their movements were so in tune with each other as they left the interior of what would soon be their very first home together that was all their very own and stepped back into the brilliant light of day side by side. "Not that I know of Babe but I really would like to have at least a hot tub and a pool would be really nice or maybe if we could get... what is his name... Thulin! to make us a hot springs here in the backyard instead?"

He slowly turned his head and looked at her. "YES! You are so smart, Des!" He took her hand. "Come, let's get those papers signed!"
