Well Harris started his usual taunting and tormenting. I leaped away from him over a couple of tables to avoid the snot nosed brat and challenged him to a duel on equal footing. Meaning he couldn?t use any of them there fancy smancy moves of his that he had learned over the years since I am just coming back and have forgotten what I used to know.
The braggart laughed at me and refused to meet me on equal footing. Now to me that says he is afraid of me and I told him so in front of God and everyone. He is scared to face me in a ring and now that I know that he is not worth my time.
Hanzo defeated his opponent and I thought he did a really good job there in the ring and things were going really well especially when Jean stopped by to spend some time with us there. Well I was just enjoying my French Pirate and watching the duels when Hanzo decided I wasn?t paying enough attention to him and tried to put gum in Jean?s hair.
This did not set well with me so I challenged Hanzipoo to a Duel. He accepted and before long Xeno had a ring for us and there we were. I had both my daggers out ready to defend my husband?s honor in the time honored old-fashioned tradition of a Duel between two opponents of which one had a score to settle with the other.
Now you could say I was a might nervous, this being for my husband?s honor and all after the gum incident, but I was doing my best not to show it. Hanzo being a ninja and all well I was just downright scared but having been a previous rank holder with a sword I was already plotting his downfall at the point of my daggers.
The only problem was I had never faced Hanzo and him being new to the Arena well you just never know what to expect and I hadn?t really been watching his style of fighting when he was dueling more like just cheering him on and keeping my distance from Harris as best I could until Jean arrived.
Nevertheless I lunged forward and nailed him right off the bat for my precious Pirate?s honor! Then I settled down for a friendly duel. Well it was mostly friendly. I kind of whooped upon him pretty badly there in the ring. I wasn?t really thinking about it. He gave just about as good as he got. But it wasn?t nearly enough to beat me!!!
It isn?t often you get to win in just 5 rounds but Hanzipoo was a very good sport about it and bought me a bottle of champagne and an Atomic Cocktail to celebrate my win when we went back upstairs to the Inn. I haven?t been that drunk in years!!
