Tera and Gavilean left the Annex after the challenge and went to a small caf? for a late dinner and drinks where they lingered talking over the match they had just watched as well as few of the more colorful spectators.

Amidst good natured laughter they paid their bill and hand in hand walked over to the Inn and went inside to see if perhaps this person wishing to buy one of the Circle D?s horses was there and if any of their friends had also decided to stop by for a late night drink before retiring to their beds.

For once the common room was very quiet, only a four or five patrons where there, so the couple made their way to the bar and found a bottle of wine for that night cap they had come for and didn?t interrupt any of the ongoing conversations. Their preference was instead to continue just spending their time to themselves for the moment.

That was until the cowgirl heard the gentleman speaking with Icer introduce himself on his way out the door then she was all ears, pointed his retreating back out to Gav, and began questioning the Ice Dragon about her impression of him because this was the man that wanted to buy one of her babies.

They had missed him as before she could call out to him to wait darkness had enfolded him in her embrace and he was gone for the night. Instead she left him a note, letting him know that she was willing to meet with him regarding his desire to buy one of the Circle D?s horses, at the bar for him to pick up when next he checked for messages.

Dear Lord Von Locke,

My Ranch Foreman, Elijah, from The Circle D tells me that you are interested in buying yourself a horse. We have plenty of really nice ones and a few that I have trained myself. My finace and I would be happy to meet with ya to discuss your interest in getting yourself one some evening when ya have time to be meeting with us.

You can leave a message here in my cubbyhole letting us know what evening would be good for ya since I stop by here most every day to check for messages and to visit with friends.

I hope we can do some business together.

Sincerely,
Des

-= Setting the scene: Lord Erich Von Locke has returned moments after Tera and Gavilean had left to the inn Friday evening. He had a long conversation with Arts. After the inn had cleared out, this is what happened. =-

He moved behind the bar, selecting a preferred vintage from the rack and a goblet from the cupboard. He then pulled forth the note, delivered to his room a few hours past, from his frock.

Skilled fingers held the trio of objects in one hand, as he procured the coins in payment, and a lavish tip from the coin-purse secured in his frock pocket before finding himself a booth. Lord Erich Von Locke settled in the dark, candlelit confines of the area, drawing forth the note to examine its remarks.

The British aristocrat's brow piqued as he filled his glass with refreshment, taking a sip from its reservoir after folding the note neatly and tucking it away. ?Marvelous... what gifts Lady Night brings to me.? An aside to none in particular, for the inn was empty. ?A cruel crone she is often.. she does bless me with a gift every now and again. Aye..? He sipped from the goblet again.

Taking up quill and parchment from the bar he replied in an elegant script.

Dear Lady Des,

I would be most happy to oblige your invitation to an audience with your fiancee and yourself. Evening is a marvelous time, and most preferred, since I tend to be somewhat of a night owl myself. We might take this chance to get to know each other, Lord Starfare and yourself, and haggle over the price of a steed should you have the sort I seek. My thanks for the letter, I will be looking forward to seeing the two of ye.
