Des had been to The Arena for an evening of dueling with nerf swords thanks to her being pregnant. She wouldn?t use steel nor wooden blades and risk harming the precious life that she was carrying. Nor would she duel anyone that wouldn?t use something soft and harmless in the ring against her. Luckily she had found two opponents tonight, one with a balloon sword and one that used a nerf spear and she had had a grand and glorious fun time dueling.

Then she went up to the Inn to spend a little time visiting with whoever might be there that she happened to know. This wouldn?t be a problem as she knew so many people that surely to goodness someone would not be busy already visiting and she would have someone she could talk with.

Up the stairs she and her ?diamond? went, two in front of her and two behind, into the common room they strode then resumed their formation around her as she smiled and waved, happily seeing a bunch of people she knew and would gladly spend some time talking to about anything at all.

But then she spotted him but only after he had already spotted her and he was headed for the door out. Oh that man. That mean, mean man that she had only seen a couple of times before but would never, ever forget because of what he had done and how he had done it. Actually she would never forget both times she had seen him because of what he had done and how he had done it.

Thankfully though he was on his way out when she was on her way in and he didn?t do more then just thoughtfully study her for a moment which in her eyes after what he had done to her that second time she saw him was bad enough. Blech! She didn?t even want him able to look at her to tell the truth but to have his eyes gouged out well that would be maybe going a little bit too far and be a little bit radicle but still she didn?t want him looking at her even so she was glad he was leaving.

Des had actually told Gavilean all about what the man had done to her and how Dakota had leaped to her defense at the time and maybe even saved her from anything further happening than what did happen as the man was just downright mean looking and foul mouthed even. She really couldn?t stand a foul mouth.

For some reason that just made no sense to her to have a foul mouth like that man had on him. Why not learn to say what you had to say with some learned words instead of resorting to gutter talk in her opinion. But not that man. He had a mouth on him that would not quit and after he had shoved her while she was on duty behind the bar that was all it took. He had made her ?list?.

But he was headed out and she was headed in and he didn?t say a word to her this night so she just looked at him back and she and her guards went on to the bar to get herself a cup of herb tea since the midwife would no longer allow her to have alcohol plus horror of horrors her precious coffee intake had also been limited. Thank God it had not been eliminated as the woman had at first tried to get her to do but it was severely limited now.

So Des was mostly minding her own business when it came to light that this man, Tommy, had been doing more than minding his own business during his time at the Inn before she arrived. Wyh and Tasha were not shy in sharing with her what had happened between Jewell and him and Taneth and him this night and in the past.

She was happy to let them know what he had done to her. Wyh shared what he had done to her. Des shared what he had done to Charna in front of her. The three women were sharing up a storm with each other what this man had done to women in front of each of them at different times. Needless to say the more that was revealed about this man?s activities and actions and behaviors toward women the more heated the discussion became among the women.

Something had to be done the three of them decided as a group. Names were suggested of powerful men that would make this man sit up and take notice that the female bar tenders of the Red Dragon Inn were off limits. Plans were settled on to be put immediately into motion to stop this man dead in his tracks because these women had had enough of being bullied. Roles were defined and marked out to be carried out in secret and silence and in public too.

The three women were determined and set on their paths. They parted ways to each take up their part in their plan to end this man?s wicked ways with the female bar tenders of the Red Dragon Inn.

It was very late at night, early in the morning, in the common room, and the young mercenary is sitting alone at a table. The photo from earlier is resting under his holster and several blaster packs, and he's cleaning his blaster pistol carefully. Squinting at it. Piercings rattling when he tilts his head.

Des strolls over to his table with her guards fanned out behind her in the quiet of the common room her voice kept low as she comes to a halt across from him. ?Howdy Darlin'. I think we have a little unfinished business.?

Alain looks up at her with a grin. Kinda smug, at the very least confident. ?I believe we do. You want me to watch the lady bartenders when I can, and keep an eye out for Tommy... and watch Taneth even more. And, of course, that's going to cost a little more than a fair share of the tip jar.? He sets the blaster down, on top of the holster, and stretches his arms back a little. Hands open, looking up at her, blue eyes wide and earnest. ?But first... tell me what you think is fair.?

Des chuckles warmly and nods toward the empty chair as she pulls it out and seats herself then places her hands on the table while watching him with a grin of her own. ?Yup well I'll tell ya what the tip jar is off limits Darlin' as this here is coming out of my own pocket. But ya do know who I am so we won't go into that. I ain't gonna jerk ya around because I feel this is serious business and that Taneth could be in some danger as the heathen did touch her tonight from what I have been told and I don't approve of them kind of liberties being taken especially by someone that has shoved me in the past. He has a history as far as I am concerned Darlin'. What do ya say to Fifteen silver a week to watch over the female bar tenders??

Alain replied, ?Twenty is a fair watcher's fee. I cannot guarantee my presence for the duration of every shift, but I will do my best to be present for each, and if an incident occurs off my watch, I will go out of my way to warn Tommy off. Once he is confronted, especially if his reaction is adverse, it becomes fifty, until such time you feel the lady bartenders are no longer threatened. If I have to kill him, that's an automatic one hundred silver.?

She thought that over for a few minutes with her head tilted to one side as her gaze moved over him and the visible weapons while trying to decide if it was worth the fifty she knew she was going to end up paying him a week in the end it came down to knowing Taneth was well worth it and so she nodded to him and rapped her knuckles on the table then extended a hand toward him. ?Done! Friday is payday Alain.?

He grins widely and accepts her hand, shaking it. ?Taneth is a friend of mine, too, and I always take my business very seriously. I won't let you down.?

She shook his hand firmly and nodded to him at the same time with a little grin. ?If ya do ya only will once Darlin' so don't let it concern ya over much.? Then she winked to him and stood from her seat she wasn't really threatening him even though it may have sounded like she was. She was in reality teasing him as she had every confidence in his ability to do the job or she wouldn't have returned to finish up their business, she would have just let it go.

He knows the language of the business. He winks at her as she stands, and then returns to cleaning his gun... ?Good night...?

When Gavilean rolled over in bed at 4:30 a.m. and didn't find Des laying there next to him, he eyes widened and he shot out of bed. "Des? Love? You in the bathroom?" He looked but she was not there. He looked out on the balcony, thinking she might have needed some fresh air. "Des? You here?" Then his heart began to pound. She was never this late. He rang for servants and immediately started to get dressed.

Des and her "diamond" were seated in the nearly deserted common room of the Inn at that time and she was speaking in hushed tones with the mercenary concluding the deal she had just put the finishing touches on. She hated it had to be that late but he had been busy earlier when all the facts had come to light and this was the time he had named so there she was negotiating.

Hands were shook and she stood then in the center of her guards she quickly made her way to the front door and out into the early morning streets headed toward home. "Okay guys double time!" Then she took off at a run toward the mansion only a block away. They easily kept pace with her as she tore off toward home. She reached the gate and the guard there opened it with a quizzical glance to her as she tossed him a smile and wave then headed for the side door with her guards.

Gavilean was in the courtyard with weaponry and armor, as the last of a squad of armed guards assembled in the early morning glow. They had been awoken out of sleep and marshalled together, and before them on a black horse sat Sir Arch Fane. They were about to turn the town upside down, and Skyler's place would be ther first.

The cowgirl Queen skidded to a halt with a gasp as she caught sight off what looked like an army in the courtyard. The guards surrounding her immediately saluted the Knight Marshall and their King. She ran over to her beloved husband and placed a hand on his arm. "Oh my God Babe! What has happened? Who has attacked us? You can't be going to war. I need ya here with me!"

"DES! Des, are you okay? War? Hell, I was going to tear this place apart looking for you! Where have you been?" He looked to her Diamond. "Why didn't one of you report back to me what was happening?!" They stood at attention. "No excuse, Your Majesty."

"You're damn straight there's no excuse." He turned to Sir Fane, "Arch, you may dismiss your men. I'm sorry for the trouble." Nothing phased the knight. He was as impassive as ever. He just nodded and dismissed his men. Gavilean turned to Des, "Do you know what time it is!?"

She winced at the yelling and glanced at all the men that she now realized had been brought together to go looking for her. "Oh dear. Y'all I'm sorry that y'all had to get out of bed so early. Please forgive the inconvienince Sir Fane." She really didn't want him mad at her. He looked downright scary to her but she would never admit that.

Her gaze went back to her very upset looking husband who had also been rousted from their no doubt nice warm bed and was standing dressed for battle at this ungodly hour of the morning out in the middle of the courtyard. "Oh Baby I am so sorry I was talking with Tasha about her date coming up and lost track of the time and then we got to talking about something else but right now why don't we go on in the house and get you out of that there uncomfortable armor and all and I'll get ya some your Remy Martin honey." She was pratically cringing as she spoke she felt so horrible about all the ruckus that she had caused.

"It's 5:00 in the morning. I don't need a drink." He had never been angry with his wife before, but she had just scared the hell out of him and had no business coming home at this hour. "I want to know what's so damn important that it took you all night."

"Tommy bothering all the female bartenders and most especially the sweet and very innocent Taneth is what was so important. I had to wait until 4:30am to meet with the bodyguard that I hired to watch over her Babe." She answered him immediately with what had kept her so late. His anger at her was not something she had ever experienced before and she tilted her head to the side as she watched his expression while she spoke.

He looked at her and breathed out in big sigh and pulled her into his arms, "Baby, I was so frightened. I've never felt that frightened before in my life, not even fighting The Ulgoth and his demon hordes." He held her so tightly.

She went into his arms her own sliding around his waist as she burrowed close feeling very relieved that he wasn't going to stay angry at her. She didn't know what she would do if he did. He was her entire world and she loved him with her entire being. "I didn't mean to scare ya, Gavilean. I honestly didn't. I just found out so many things tonight about this here Tommy. You remember he is the one that shoved me while I was on duty Babe?"

"I remember you saying that. I think he needs a little shoving himself."

She nodded to him. "Tasha, Wyh, and I compared notes and decided the same thing. He has been harrassing all the female bar tenders not just me Babe. So we have come up with a plan between the three of us to see that he gets some. I hired Alain who is a mercenary to watch over Taneth since he seems particularly interested in her and she is so sweet and so innocent that we are all three most worried about her of all of us."

Gav walked her to the door of their home as he listened to what kept her out all night. "Is he the only one?"

She matched her steps to his as they always did without even having to think about it. "He is the only one that I hired. Tasha is going to speak to Luc and I was going to write to Talomar again. Tasha is also going to speak to Luse if he shows up in port. We are going to see if maybe Glan will watch over her too and there is Ty that was there. Who by the way really needs some serious help I'm thinking. First he really made me mad then he really made me mad again then he tried to give me this here necklace of his that he said had protected his soul for like 18 years because he claimed that I need it more than he does. Well I informed him that YOU have me more than protected and showed him my wedding ring and pointed out my "diamond" to him again and gave him right back that necklace. I just don't know what is wrong with people Babe."

He grinned, "If Ty tries that again he'll need that necklace more than ever; and if he puts his hand on you I'll break his arms." Gav was in no mood for the games that men play in the inn without regard for boundaries, even those set by marriage. "I'm glad you three have worked things out, but next time, baby, please send one of the guards back to inform me what's happening. Okay?" He looked at her and smiled. He would give his live a thousand times over for her; his love for her was endless in its depths.

Gavilean's wife smiled softly up to him and nodded slowly. "I will love mine. I know that you will help keep watch over Taneth too and the other women when you are there without me having to ask ya." She hugged him so very tightly. The love she felt for him clear in the navy blue that met cobalt. "It just occured to me though Babe what do you think about me sending a note around to Issy and the girls letting them know about this Tommy guy and asking them to help out?"

He thought about it for a second, "I think it's a good idea. Maybe he'll find himself isolated and leave people alone."

She thought about that for a moment herself. "I am thinking he is going to make a power play eventually so the Bloods and Talomar will have ample oppotunity to slap him down in more ways then one. He is a thug from what I have seen myself and the more I hear about him the more I figure he wants power in town which is something that they have in spades and I don't see them giving that up to a newcomer."

"Nope, no chance of that." The retired Warlord looked at her and kissed her hair. "Do you want to eat breakfast or go to bed?"

Des snuggled closer and went up on tip toe to place a kiss to his lips softly but tenderly with a little grin as she sang out for the first time in weeks. "Breakfast Babe! I want breakfast!" Her morning sickness had denied her the pleasure of having breakfast with him but since she hadn't been to sleep yet her stomach wasn't acting up. But she quickly added with a look. "No bacon!!!"

He laughed and kissed her lips, "I love you, baby. Even if you do scare the daylights out of me sometimes. Let's eat on the back patio; we'll catch the first of the sun's rays there, which shouldn't take too long." He gave her a wink.

She crinkled her nose with a chuckle. "Mmm that sounds heavenly love mine. Breakfast, sunrise, and you. A woman couldn't ask for more I'm thinking. Goddess I do love ya, Gavilean. I would be lost without ya and I am the luckiest woman alive."

He gave her another kiss before instructing the staff to bring out breakfast to the back patio. "For Her Majesty also?" they asked. "Of course for her!," he replied with a grin. He removed his armor, handed it to a valet, then went out the rear door to walk in the gardens with his to die for wife.

"No bacon!" She added in a yell for the staff with a sassy grin as she linked hands with her scrumptious very own TDMF male then moved into the pre-dawn glow of their gardens with him. "I can even have some coffee Babe. We don't have to tell the Midwife if I have some twice today."

He chuckled, "I won't say a thing, my love. Your secrets are all safe with me." He picked a red rose from the rose garden and touched it to her face as he said softly, "I was never so glad to see anyone in all my life than I was to see you coming through that gate. When we finish breakfast and I get you to our bedroom, I'm going to sooo punish you."

She inhaled deeply to take the scent of the rose into her senses with a little smile hovering on her lips. A glint of passion was in the gaze that she lifted to her handsome husband's face as a hand moved to brush back the long dark hair over his broad shoulder tenderly. "Punish me huh? Ya think ya are big enough to be doin' that Babe?" This from the 4'10'" female now facing him with a teasing grin as he had her complete attention at the mention of that.

He laughed, "Oh I don't think you'll be minding the punishment very much, darling. In fact, you might just not want me to stop." He moved the rose bud over her lips and was about to kiss her when the breakfast and coffee was being brought out to the patio table. "Saved by the coffee!"

Drats saved by the coffee indeed and she had so been looking forward to his type of punishment. She chuckled merrily then moved with him toward the table. "I may be saved by the coffee but nothing will save you if you forget about that punishment you have all but promised me after breakfast Babe!"

He pulled out her chair for her, helped her in, then sat opposite. "I don't think you'll have to worry about me forgetting, baby. I can't take my mind off of you!" The smell of breakfast and the smile of his wife made the day turn out well after all. He also made some mental notes about protection in the Inn.

After getting some sleep the cowgirl Queen gleefully took her elven dagger and sliced pages from the back of her hated black leather bound journal then settled herself to write a few people that she knew because this man needed to learn some manners and that he couldn?t be bullying the women anymore.

After writing each she sealed them with the personal seal Gavilean had given her as a gift then sent them all off with messengers to be delivered to those they were addressed to with instructions to the messengers to not return until they had found the people or else.

Dear Talomar,

There is something going on that I think you need to know about. I would appreciate it if you could meet me at the same place that we always meet as soon as possible. I?ll be there tonight.
