It had been quite a while since Darcy and her ninja had a quiet evening to themselves. It seemed they hardly saw each other anymore. The only time they seemed to be together was in the dead of night when they were sleeping in the same bed. But he always rose before her and she always got in after he had gone to sleep.

So Darcy felt a romantic dinner was in order for the both of them. She had made plans. She knew what time he came home and made sure everything was ready. The first thing she did was make sure everyone was out of the house. Which was a lot easier than she thought.

David had been spending a lot of time with Ryan but that didn't bother her. She knew David's eighteenth birthday was next month and she had a feeling once his apprenticeship at the tattoo place was up and he became a full fledged artist he would leave the nest. Now she loved her brother dearly but knew it was his time to move on into the world. And she adored Ryan so she knew her brother was in good hands.

Once that was done she moved into the kitchen. She spent the entire day cooking and baking preparing the dinner for the two of them. And finally she decided a traditional house steak with green beans and mashed potatoes would serve nicely. A salad for an appetizer and strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Also she had a chocolate fondu fountain to dip strawberries in just to throw in a bit of romanticism. Red wine would serve as the beverage and dinner was perfect.

Now the last thing of course was to get ready! She hurried up to their room and into the shower. Once she was clean and dried she added just a slight amount of eyeliner and mascara as well as eyeshadow to bring out those sparkling dark forest colored hues of hers. A bit of lipstick and lipgloss to bring attention to her plump smiling lips. Finally she did her hair in a style she hoped he liked. A red summer dress since summer would soon be upon them and a simple pair of red shoes completed the outfit. She didn't feel the need for jewelry as she wanted to be completely at ease and relaxed as she hoped this evening would turn out wonderfully and bring them closer together.

After she set the table with the lights off save for the warm glow of the fire in the hearth and a few lighted candles on the table she sat down, poured herself a bit of wine, took a sip, and waited for him.

Darcy wasn't waiting that long thankfully. She had the whole evening planned out. From appetizer through well after dessert. Her mind had wandered as she took a small sip from her glass of wine every now and then.

However upon hearing him approach her thoughts were shattered. She didn't completely come back to reality until she caught sight of him. A smile forming on her face that reached her eyes was just the first sign on how much she had missed him.

She rose from the chair and grabbing the hem of her dress she bowed her head and curtsied before him, "Good evening my love."

She couldn't help the term of endearment and she certainly didn't apologize or take it back. She rose out of her curtsy and felt severly underdressed considering he was tearing a tuxedo and her just a simple summer dress.

She let the thought go as she lead him to the table where their dinner waited where there was actually a waiter waiting on them. Pretty awesome huh? Once they had sat down and the wine was poured the appetizer which was a very nice salad was delivered.

She picked up her fork and took a bite as well as another sip of her wine before she looked at him and finally spoke, "You look wonderful tonight."

Wasn't it usually supposed to be the guy saying something like that? Darcy wasn't afraid to speak her mind no matter what the compliment and she wasn't afraid now she smiled softly to him, "I've missed you."

She smiled to the kiss happy for the affection of course. The salad hadn't taken much to work on. Now the entree and dessert were a different story. She took another bite followed by another sip of wine and blushed to his compliment, "I don't look that great."

However she wouldn't argue anymore since she knew it was useless to. She almost choked on her next sip of wine to his words but managed not to. Her face even more flushed now, "I agree it has been quieter."

And she would leave it at that a glint in her eye as she fell quiet finishing her salad with a few more sips of wine. Once he was done their entree would be delievered. Their steaks cooked to how they wanted them. Her's medium rare. Seasoned green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. It wasn't too fancy but just about right. The wine went great with it.

She picked up her fork and knife and began to cut into the steak, "You really do look nice tonight."

Salad finished it was taken away and she cut a piece of steak to chew on it followed by another sip of wine. She managed to not choke this time. Swallowing her bite and dabbing her lips with a napkin she then pointed the steak knife in his direction, "Darling this is supposed to be a wonderful romantic dinner. All innuendos will be set aside until after dessert."

However there was that glint in her eye as she smiled darkly to her ninja lover before picking up some green beans with her fork and eating it. Let's just say she was being oh so patient through dinner. But after that? After that the gloves were going to come off.

She didn't respond. Content to finish her food. Sipping her wine she watched him curiously as he moved to her side. A sly smile crossing her face as she tilted her head listening to him, "Wait until after dessert."

Came her reply as indeed their table was cleared away and dessert was delievered right on time. She was going to need her strength for what was going to happen after they left the table after all.

Indeed she concentrated on dessert. Eating her piece of cheesecake. Finally the chocolate fondu fountain with fruit on the side was delievered. She moved then to sit on his lap much like a child telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas.

Using one of the fondu sticks she picks up a strawberry and dips it into the chocolate. Grinning she holds it near his mouth, "Open wide lover."

She purred with a dark smile that hinted at what they were going to do after this dinner. After he had eaten the strawberry she next picked up a cherry and put it between her lips. Her lips then met his as she fed the cherry to him. Oh yes the evening was turning out splendidly for them.

"Mmmh..." Came her answer as she paused to pick up her glass of wine for another sip. Wine seemed to go great with dinner and dessert.

Swallowing her sip she would wrap her lips around the offered strawberry. First sucking off the chocolate in a suggestive manner before she ate one. Oh now his words usually would irritate her. But she wasn't going to let him. She had put too much planning into this. She wasn't going to let him ruin it. So for now she was going to be on her best behavior for the evening.

Indeed she had given him a rather strange look. However that look was replaced by a smile. She literally seemed to glow as she danced with him. A smile on her face. The fondness shining in her eyes. Even though there wasn't any music playing it didn't seem to matter.

The music was everywhere to be heard. Darcy could find a song in everything. She sighed contently as she closed her eyes and laid her head on his shoulder. Pressing close to him as they danced.

In the craziness that was a daily part of their lives within this chaotic plagued world of Rhy'Din in which they existed it was nice to take things slow and just enjoy the little things in life.
