Party time! Party planning! Oh this was something David absoultly loved to do! And on top of that the one who had helped organize the Chairty Auction for the Riverview Clinic also was going to help him with Darcy's birthday party! He was really sold on the idea of a semi-formal masquerade.

It was perfect. It simply screamed Darcy. He had been a busy boy. He finally got one part of business taken care of today. And that was the wine. Though he himself didn't drink he knew that most likely someone there would be thirsting for some wine. And so who better than the Durand's? Darcy had spoken fondly of their wine that she had sampled last night from their masquerade so he thought it was only perfect.

One thing down a million more to go! The next thing being music but Sivanna had said something about a DJ. Which would work perfectly. However musicians would be welcome as well. So he currently had his ear out for whoever wanted to play.

Of course we couldn't forget about the food! David was currently on the search for a caterer as well! The decorations he would leave in Sivanna's hands. He knew that this was going to be one Hell of a party!

(OOC Note: Though this thread is mostly open for Sivanna mun and I to do party planning any one else who wants to contribute saying they'll provide food, entertainment, etc. please feel free to post! If you have any questions please feel free to PM me!)

With a soft tisk, Sivanna pouted as she reached David?s voicemail. Thankfully, the previous night, Neo had instructed her how to use the message system. Glaring suspiciously at her unfriendly cell phone, she punched the ?1? key to leave a message.

At the beep, she spoke hurriedly.

??Quel andune, David! This is Sivanna-- we met a few days ago and started planning Darcy?s birthday party? I just wanted to call and let you know what I?ve come up with so far. I know a great place that rents out linens and upholstery-- Sarrie?s? I don?t know if you?ve heard of it. She?s got a nice little shop west of the Marketplace. Anyway; I spoke with her yesterday and she has assured me she has all the necessary components to create the modern/gothic look we?re going for. Matte fabrics of black and white, velvet tapestries, and I actually saw this great iridescent red tablerunner at her shop the other day. I?ve also been drawing up cake designs; I?ll share some with you when I see you next. Oh! And have you looked into a caterer? Because a close friend of mine is a spectacular chef, and if you like, I could ask him if he would be willing to do Darcy?s--?

Beep. Your message has exceeded the allowed space. If you would like to re-record this message, please press one. Sivanna groaned, called back, and got his voicemail again.

?I tell you. These blasted techno-contraptions. They all need to be destroyed. Anyway. Caterer! Let me know if you would like me to ask him. This is my phone number, so please call me back when you get the chance. I?d appreciate it! Diola lle. I hope to hear from or see you soon!?

He was sitting in his room. Doing what he usually did. Which was looking up all types of music and whatnot on his laptop and taking breaks playing Rock Band or Silent Hill. Yeah...The PS3 was a dream come true and the gift Darcy had gotten him for his birthday. How she manged to snag one as well as games was a mystery but he didn't press the issue. Needless to say he didn't hear the phone and frowned whenever he saw a missed call and a two voicemails. He held the one "1" button to call his voicemail and listened to the messages. Chuckling when he heard who it was. Shaking his head he saved the number in his phone and dialed it back not really surprised he had gotten her voicemail.

"Hey Sivanna. This is David. I found someone to provide the wine. The Dursands they're a French noble couple that just came here and they'd be glad to provide the wine. Also I found a couple of musicians named Craig and Scarlett. I know we said we'd go for a DJ but I figured that live music would be awesome as well. And no I haven't heard of Sarrie's but take some pictures and send them via text to show me what she has. And I haven't found a caterer either nor have the foggiest idea about a cake. And not to mention the invitations! But anyway girl we need to get together and put our heads together! Also go ahead and ask the caterer if he'll do the party. I was thinking something along the lines of Chinese food that's her fave. But get back to me I hope to see you soon!"

How he managed to get all that in one voicemail was a miracle. But he chuckled as he hung up the phone and set back to work on looking up some decorations and music for the party.

It had taken all of two hours to finally ascertain the method to receive voicemails. As Sivanna had listened astutely to David's latest input on the party situation, the cleric wrote studiously in a scarlet matte binder, now affectionately dubbed 'The Awesome Binder.' At the younger Huntington's latest suggestion, however, the elfess frowned intensely. Send via text message? How in the blazes was something like that possible? Grumbling to herself, Siv punched in David's number again, only to get his voicemail.

"'Quel undome, David. It's Sivanna again. I got your message, and I quite agree with you. Live music sounds much more Darcy-- I can imagine the party will be much more dance-worthy if we conduct it as so; So please! By all means, let me know more about these performers, what kinds of instruments they have, etc, etc, and I can have a stage set up for them. Do you think we should have the party in the inn, the hall, the isle, or I actually recently heard about--"

"Ngh. Stupid, blasted... apologies. I recently heard about this new place called Stars End Bar? You probably know her better than I, so please let me know what you think. I will call and inquire about a caterer, and as for the pictures... I'll... figure that out, I suppose. Hopefully I'll catch you around sometime soon. Diola lle for all the help. Namaarie."

Siv looked long and hard at the buttons on the phone, but rather than risking destroying the contraption, she bit the bullet and punched in her best friend's number.

"Now I have to send a picture via text message? By Nuitari, I hope the Keeper will explain."

He had already downloaded a bunch of music. Ranging from The Cure to Marilyn Manson and everything in between. Also he had some techno by Combichrist. As well as some Blue Foundation and Massive Attack. Bands that he knew his sister was quite fond of right now. Despite the fact that she had been turned into a dragon the party was still on. And he wasn't going to disappoint his sister. No way. He had been so busy in his own little world he hadn't noticed the missed calls or voicemail. Sighing he punched the button and listened to Sivanna's messages. He then called her back to get her voicemail once more.

"Hey Sivanna. It's David again. I got your message as well. Well I gave the musicians my personal information so hopefully they'll get back to me. Craig plays guitar and Scarlett plays piano from what I know. And I think the isle would be perfect. It would have that gothic masquerade theme along a slight beach theme. That would be great. And yeah send me the pictures as soon as you can. I'll get back to you! Later girl!"

It had been a little too long since Sivanna had heard from David, so a call was in order! Unfortunately, once again, she got his voicemail. She didn't blame him, though, as she called relatively early in the morning.

"'Quel re, mellonamin, Sivanna again. I just wanted to let you know that my good friend Guillermus Fortis has agreed to cater for Darcy's party. And I just wanted to double-check-- are we hosting the event on the second or the fifth? Because I left both evenings open just in case. Granted, the fifth seems much more logical, but somehow I thought I heard you say the second..." A pause. "... I'm working too much lately. Apologies!"

The message you have recorded has-- CLICK.

Ring ring.

"Anyway. We also need to discuss the time. And if possible, I'd like to meet with you to show you the designs I've got for the Isle. I'm thinking a club theme-- lots of blacklights, a bit of furniture, and a dance floor. I'll invite the BCU, but I assume you know many more of the Awesome's friends, so unless you'd like me to draw up some formal invitations-- which I am more than happy to do-- I'll leave you to that. Give me a call back so we can iron this out in person over coffee or something. Namaarie!"

?Siv, you are going to throw out your back if you keep lifting things like that!?

The cleric laughed weakly, wobbling against the uneven weight of the loudspeaker as she toted it toward the stage. Eugene, bless him, had his men come in at six o?clock that morning to construct the temporary flat for the band and/or DJ. The men were miracle workers. By noon, the Isle was looking like an outdoor club. A glossy dance floor had been brought in through six parts, and put together on site. Red and black faux leather furniture was scattered here and there for comfortable lounging, and thankfully Eugene had been kind enough to lend the elfess some tables to set up. The portico above the sizeable dance floor was actually nothing more than a huge, canvas gazebo, but thanks to a well-placed glamour spell, the entire space looked like a cathedral. Rafters crisscrossed at the height of what appeared to be fifty feet of wide-open space, and currently Eugene and his men were mounting rented dance lights, black lights, and strobes on the glamoured ?pillars? surrounding the stage and floor. The former was covered in black velvet, and had a soundbooth set up, along with a mic and a few amplifiers should live entertainment be available. If not, turntables were happily prevalent adjacent to sizeable speaker towers on the stage?s center.

After the elfess dropped the equipment off near the stage, she headed back to the so-named ?Loot Table,? and went about smoothing the long black linen and centering the metallic crimson tablerunner. The only present so far was a misshapen hunk of foil wrapping in a shape suspiciously akin to a vintage ?52 Telecaster.

The day dragged under heavy labor, and only one more crew arrived, bearing the medieval torches and candelabra Sivanna had rented for the evening. She set them up in triangle fashions here and there-- kept some tables and the bar very well lit and others under a curtain of eerie shadow. The latter was glamoured black for the evening, and draped in gossamer red material.

She took a step back when all was said and done and sighed in satisfaction, wiping the perspiration off her brow. Maybe she should go into business designing clubs-- for this setup looked simply splendid. As an afterthought, she snatched up a grocery bag full of shimmering dragon confetti and scattered it on each table top, making her way back to her good friend Eugene.

?I think that just about does it, mellonamin. I can?t thank you enough.?

The older man smiled and gave the elfess a peck on the cheek.

?Not at all, sweetheart. You have fun tonight, and don?t forget to tell people where the business came from,? he replied with a wink.

?You know you?re welcome to stay?? Sivanna offered for the third time that afternoon.

?Thank you, my darling, but I should work this evening. I?ll be back bright and early tomorrow with the guys to help pick up.? One more kiss was paid to her cheek, which she aptly returned, and with that, he departed through the portal.

It was about time to get dressed, but one more thing was in order.

Dusting her hands off on her jeans, Siv procured her cell phone and punched in David?s number.

?David, mellonamin. Things are all set up on my end. You are welcome to come and check things out beforehand, but if not, I?ll see you at the party tonight. Take care!?
