Forest colored depths fluttered open. Darcy was awake. Early. Mega early. Like...Crack of dawn early. She sighed. She hadn't gotten much sleep last night. Especially after the events that had happened. The pain of losing her best friend after three thousand years was still fresh in her heart and written on her face.
She turned over pulling Shadow close to her. Burying her face in his warmth. Inhaling his smell deeply. He was something warm and alive. Reality check for her. She rose up slightly to kiss his lips, "It's time to get up love..."
She murmured as she pulled away and climbed out of the bed. She put little thought into her clothing. An oversized black band shirt that depicted Black Sabbath, black hiphugging baggy fuzzy pajama pants, and her black fuzzy slippers. Without a word she ran her brush through her hair before putting it up in a ponytail.
She moved to the curtains that were closed and threw them open. Letting the first rays of dawn pour into the room in a warm embrace to flow over her sleeping lover. She then turned to open the door and leaving it open walked out.
Her next stop was David's room. He was just a part of this as anyone else was. Not only was he her brother but he adored Mayday. She opened the door and leaving it open walked in. Careful not to run into anything. Like an artist his room was a mess of matte pencils, brushes, markers, paints, paper, canvases, and easels. Smiling a bit to herself. He really was talented just like her.
She moved over to pull back the curtains to let the sunlight in before she crawled onto the bed. Her brother didn't know. He was gonna take the news hard, "Davey...Get up. It's important. I need you up."
She said as she gently shook her brother and kissed his forehead. With that she crawled off of the bed and out of the room. Her next stop? Jin and May's room. Was Jin there? She had left in such a rush with Ankie last night disturbed by this mess that she hadn't even thought about dragging him home with her. She'd apologize later.
She opened the door and like the others left it open. Whether or not Jin was in there she moved to yank open the curtains to let the sunlight in. And if he was there she would move over to the bed and shake him, "Jin get up...It's today we move into action to get her back."
She left the room with those words hanging in the air. Her last and final stop was Ankie's room. Mayday's brother. One of her former lovers of eons ago. Just like Jin and Darcy he was a huge part of this. She opened the door to his room. Honestly she had never been in here and didn't know what to expect. However she moved right for the curtains and pulled them open before turning for the bed. Leaning over to shake him awake, "Ankie love get up..."
Her lips pressed to his forehead to get him to rouse from his slumber before she left the room. Now wandering down the hall she entered the kitchen. Flipping on the switch and pushing the curtains open. She needed as much light and warmth as she could get right now.
Cupboards and drawers were open and shut as she pulled out plates, silverware, a skillet, and a baking sheet. The plates and silverware set on the table in the dining room where they ate. The skillet on the stove. She turned on the stove. Moving to the fridge she pulls out bacon, sausage, a carton of eggs, and some biscuits and rolls to make.
Opening the bacon package she tosses a few strips into the skillet. It began to sizzle. Moving to grab a large bowl she began cracking eggs into it mixing it all with the whisk. Scrambled eggs for everyone. Once it was mixed she set it aside. Moving back over to the skillet she flips over the bacon strips with a spatula. If her going from door-to-door didn't rouse anyone then the smell of cooking definately would.
They would need a full stomach and a clear head in order to plan properly to rescue their dear Mayday.
