I've been so busy lately that I've neglected to write here. Even now, I am late in putting this to paper. Riley and David got married, I was the best man. Despite this, I did little and did not remain long for the reception. The ceremony was beautiful, Riley was glowing. I wish I had remained longer. But I am bad at weddings, they remind me of Danica. I'm even worse in crowds. I wish them both the best, they are good people and everyone deserves a little bit of happiness. Cassie came with me, which was nice. Her last encounter with Riley and David was cut short by a surprise visit from the Nexus, so it was good that she got to finish a sentence when talking to them this time.

A few days before the wedding, while Cassie was asleep, Aoife visited. She had a bracelet that once belonged to Judah, who I believe is dead now. At least that's what I think she was talking about. It was difficult for me not to respond with the word "good." She was worried about something and wouldn't go into much detail, only asked that I destroyed the bracelet with magic. I explained that I couldn't, not with my abilities, but I could find someone who may be able to help.

She said she would visit again later, then, after I found someone. I hope Cassie is awake next time, I don't like being alone with Aoife anymore.

I'm back in Rhy'Din. I went home, saw the flowers (see: blight) and saw my old home (see: demolished ghetto). I did some soul searching, we'll call it, and helped out with the Grand Guard for a spell. They were very curious as to my absence but in the five years since I'd returned to Karnaca, I was able to avoid explaining my disappearance and time in Rhy'Din without too much difficulty. Good, because the zealous Abbey of the Everyman would surely not take kindly to the idea of traveling between worlds -- witchcraft, they'll call it -- and I have enough issues with them as it is (they're not fond of my people, or rather, they wouldn't be if they knew we existed).

So I'm back in Rhy'Din. Just got here earlier this evening, in fact. And guess who I see upon my return?

Taneth.

Oh, and Aoife.

As you can imagine, dear Journal, things did not go over...smoothly. We'll talk soon, her and I, and maybe I can explain myself without making her want to stab me in the eye with that wooden spoon.

I've always been an optimist.
