Gaia de Hut is an intelligent item that includes a portal into a pocket dimension, and the pocket dimension itself. Gaia evolved into a sentient item after she came into Andu's possession and he started to store large numbers of low power and otherwise unwanted magic items obtained during his decades of adventuring across many realms. Gaia's personality developed a very strong "Mother Hen" streak. possibly due to Andu's own rather child-like personality during the time of its formation.
She also has complete control over who can and can not enter through the portal. Teleportation, whether magical or Technological is severely restricted. The Hut will allow anyone to exit it's dimension through these means, but to gain entrance through these means one would have to first get permission, and then be able to "alert" the Hut they were trying to enter by a particular Teleport.
Gaia has the ability to "reconfigure" the space inside her into what ever shape/format/physics she or Andu decide is needed. Practice with this ability has alowed Gaia to learn to maintain different "Parameters" in different areas. As an example, Gaia is able to vary the gravity effecting the Waterslide her and Andu have built so that in-spite of several "drops" of seemingly a couple hundred feet each, no one using it ever exceeds a safe speed.
