It had been more than five years since Alex had been to the Inn. He had been held up in Azure Rose Keep helping his mother after the fiasco when he was with Sheyleigh. It was good to be out of the Keep. His mother , Mary Tigre, had left many years before and went back to the jungle to be with her mate, Gato, and to finish her healing. He didn?t know what to expect as he ventured into town. He had some hope, but he knew that it would never be.

As he came into the Inn, he listened for a moment, then felt his way to a stool. He got a brandy and sat there sipping it, when he suddenly recognized a scent. ?Could it be?? His mind races as he picks up his drink once again, but before he can take a sip, he hears her.

?Alex..? He drops his glass, he turns, ?Shey?? he calls out quietly. The foxling stumbles a bit as she makes her way to the man-tiger.

?Are you real?? she asks him. He white orbs turn to her, touching her face, he manages to choke out a ?yes?.

?I thought I you were gone forever.? leaning into his hand.

"No, after I went back to the Keep, I didn't know what happened to you either." he blushed a bit, as he always did around her.

?I tried to find you again, but it was like your keep and everything had just vanished.?

Alex didn?t know quite how to tell her that she was almost right. ?Azure, she kept it hid until we found a way to heal Mother.?

?I?m just glad you?re back,? she purred, ?but it?s going to take years to catch up.?

He chuckles. "That it might..." pausing, he takes her hand in his, "I'm very glad I came tonight...I've missed you." he lowers his head a bit.

?And I you. You may hate me when I tell you everything, but for now you have no idea how happy I am.?

"I could never hate you.? He assures her. We both have a lot to tell, but not right now." Without a thought, he grabs her into an embrace, a deep purr coming from him.

They continued their talk on the porch. He was a giddy as a school boy. He did however, almost fall off the swing when Shey informed him of her child, and that she had been married. After he settled, he told her he would like to meet this little one, and that it didn?t matter if she had been married before. She was there, and they were together. That is all that mattered to him.
