Lasherette

~~Lasherette had kept herself cooped up in that castle of her's for many a night now. Aside from going out to "dinner" that is. But that was all she did when she went out. Gregory had noticed the change in her temperment, and actually had the guts to ask about it, one evening on the way out to "dinner". "Mistress, you seem....well, distant....the last few days, and it has me concerned." Lash lifted her eyes and stared at him, at first they narrowed, then she let out this sinister type laugh.
"I assure you Gregory, there is nothing you can do about it." Lash then eyed the man up and down. She wiggled her finger at him, and he leaned closer, sitting across from her inside the carriage. He was all ears.
She whispered in her low husky seductive voice....."I need a man, Gregory." Then ran a perfect nail along his cheek. Gregory sat back rolling his eyes at her. She let out a peel of giggles sounding like a school girl.
"Oh I can't help it Gregory, you are too easy to toy with." The elderly man blushed regardless. Her tone turning serious, I do need a man. A bodyguard. I would ask Brian Ravenlock, to put an ad in the Oracle for me.....IF he were talking to me, that is. Best part is, I dont know why he isnt! Kind of rude, I think." But it did give her pause to consider it again.
So as she sipped her bloodwyne, overlooking the towne...she wondered where out there was there a man she could trust with her VERY life. She doubted that even such a man existed. One came to mind. But he only "Played" at being a wonderful swordsman...their paths crossing years ago, she never forgot him. Though she was certain, he had tried to forget her. But she could trust him. However due to his current infatuation with a certain goddess, she doubted if he was available.
Then there was Cilian. HA! Nothing like cut and run! Another without explanation. Perhaps her being a Vampiress was now scaring the hell out of every man she met, or lay eyes on. She had far more male suitors as a regular mortal, than she does now.
Her Maker did say to her once, that even if she had said she didnt want to accept the gift, that by his staring into her eyes, he could convince her...he could convince her to do anything. It was part of the gift. And all the powers he had, so did she. Interesting. She'd have to think on that. However...she was never one to beg...nor did she like to be refused anything. This transformation took a sweet open loving woman, and made a guarded cynic out of her. Among other things.
Corinne came in going on about a Sadie Hawkins dance coming up. Where the women ask the men to be their date. Could be the perfect opportunity to mess with a man's mind. Might be interesting to see even what would happen if she were to take another woman's love, as her date? She would have to try this out first on Gregory, Warren and even the young teen who stabled her horses. Yes...if she did have such a gift, it could prove to be very interesting, indeed.
The chilled wind blew her ebony locks back far behind her in the breeze. Dark peridot hues glistened with the reflection of the night's sky stars. Her wicked smile turned into the look of an uncertain girl...biting upon her lower crimson lip, causing it to bleed. She merely lifted a finger wiping it slowly away...then tenderly sucked and licked the blood from her finger. The smiles faded, the look of insecurity left her features....she stood like Lot's wife, there upon her balcony. Just like her beautiful statues stood in her garden....without sound, movement, emotion. Just staring out at the world of darkness around them.
Then.....slowly....a tear glistened, and fell from her eye. Not feeling it, do to the numbing wind, it glistened there for a moment,as she turned to re-enter her room. Where the french doors slammed shut behind her as she entered. The drapes closing, though it was night....and she threw herself onto her over sized canopy bed, rolling onto her back, staring up at nothing...running her hand from beneath her bosom to just above her sex. Back and forth....her eyes unblinking. It was as if she had gone to another place and time.....Gregory stood outside her door, waiting for the call for him to ready the coach for the evening. But it never did.~~
