~~Well...Lash went to the Holiday Party thrown by Brian and Jenai. SHe had a great time. Though she went alone and left alone while there, she and Knite played with the band. Knite told her to take over the piano from him, as he needed to go. The band was okay with it...she played a few carols...then the band took a break. Don't know what came over her, but she began playing "My Christmas List"...she just closed her eyes and played and sang. It felt good, she forgot all about all the folks there at the party...and sang really for herself. She hadn't sung...well...since Drake was an infant. She hadn't sung since.

The party seemed like a great success for the two. It truly was done in the Holiday Spirit, from the gated Wreath...to the lit pathways, icepond dancefloor...and can't forget the "bounce arounds" Scads of food and drink. They thought of everything. Though she didn't receive a formal invitation, Brian had made the announcement, and it said that all were welcome...."even enemies" Brian wrote. Well, she didn't consider Brian and enemy...at one time she considered him a friend even. Something went wrong somewhere. She isn't even sure what. But his sweetheart, Jenai is wonderful, and has always been nice to Lash.

She sent them a thank you note. Just because. Thus far, the New Year had been a quiet one. Till she recently met someone. Here she had been hanging out in the Rings, watching. She still needed a bodyguard. the same ol threats were still there. Walking back into the Inn...she saw a man who most definately fit the description. Over 7' tall, broad...just plain BIG...like Samson big. They struck up a conversation, and they have seen alot of one another.
