Katelynn had been playing with her sister and some freinds near the Dei Venn manor, despite having been told numerous times by Mother and Father to stay away from there. She didn't know what the big deal was, The man who lived there almost never came out during the day, at least she never saw him do it. They had peen playing tag when they heard the carriage pulling up and had scattered, terrified the man would come and eat them. Too many stories told by overprotective parents had them Terrified. Kate Stayed behind hidden in the bushes, wide purple eyes watching through the foliage at the guilded buggy. She shrunk back as Goroth stepped out and barked some commands at somebody inside then turned to the manor disappearing inside. Moments later a boy climbed out of the carriage holding a suitcase. He only looked a little older then her. Deciding it was safe enough to play again she called her friends back together. "It's only a little boy, lets keep playing!" She cried, and the game was on.

Next thing she knew That little boy had heard them playing and had come to see what was going on. She stood away from the others shyly as the boys offered to take him down to the creek introducing after themselves.The boy said his name was Roran and he was just adopted. The thre other boys tugged his arm and cried "Come on!" running and shouting shouting "No girls, no girls!"
But as they ran down toward the creek shouting and laughing all She could do was watch them, and the boy she now knew was Roran. The most handsomest boy she had ever seen.
