If anything it could be said that Severina had led a decent life. Great parents, a tolerable brother, a happy childhood. Her parents had doted their attention on both children. Feeding Avery's need to be a rock star, supplying Severina with a handful of supplies to inspire her in her writings. A song writer they predicted their daughter would become.

Their family was musically inclined, it was a given. The one thing though that she kept as her utmost secret. Severina could sing. For some reason she kept it a hidden secret, not shared with the world. Never once had her voice been shared with anyone.

Still Allan had figured it out, the only person she had revealed that secret with and it all had become happenstance that he heard her sing.

Secrets revealed and yet she worried now as she held her head in her hands, slumped down on the opposite side of the closed door where she knew he was still watching, waiting on the opposite side of that closed door.

He had warned her. There was a risk to him. A risk to knowing him. She promised she would stay safe but there was that urge, that nature to make sure he was safe as well. Only a few days. No she couldn't be falling for him.It was far too early and her heart didn't work that way, didn't beat that tandem.

The words came before she found a nature to conceal the song that spilled free.

Couldn't save you from the start
Love you so it hurts my soul
Can you forgive me for trying again
Your silence makes me hold my breath
Time has passed you by

Oh, for so long I've tried to shield you from the world
Oh, you couldn't face the freedom on your own
Here I am left in silence

You gave up the fight
You left me behind
All that's done's forgiven
You'll always be mine
I know deep inside
All that's done's forgiven

Her voice might have been comparable to an angel haunted. The song was not her own but a song she felt a kinship to and it seemed to relate. She sang a song that was her life and now was weaving and twisting into the present. Those mystery blues closed, head tilted back as her voice filled the room and yet was her own. A secret shared and yet still her own.

I watched the clouds drifting away
Still the sun can't warm my face
I know it was destined to go wrong
You were looking for the great escape
To chase your demons away

Oh, for so long I've tried to shield you from the world
Oh, you couldn't face the freedom on your own
And here I am left in silence

You gave up the fight
You left me behind
All that's done's forgiven
You'll always be mine
I know deep inside
All that's done's forgiven

Fingers ran through her hair before she was drawing her knees close to her chest, it was a solemn comfort that touch. Still she found herself gazing over her shoulder and looking to the closed door. There was an urge to open it. To assure that he was as safe as he wanted her to be. Those fingers moved touched to the rough barrier of wood as she exhaled softly, the melancholy beauty of the song eased away like a whisper of tragedy and wonder.

I've been so lost since you've gone
Why not me before you?
Why did fate deceive me?
Everything turned out so wrong
Why did you leave me in silence?

You gave up the fight
You left me behind
All that's done's forgiven
You'll always be mine
I know deep inside
All that's done's forgiven

She couldn't be left in silence any longer. She couldn't just stick behind and watch it all fall apart. Not again. Now she had to get her head straight before she took the plunge took on a risk that was far more crazy then Avery's antics or wild ideas of the band. No this was far more insane. Crazy for the notion of loving and taking a risk. Taking a chance. Even if it meant in the long run being between a Bullet and a Target
