Greg had been gone for far too long and it worried her. It itched like an omen in the back of her mind and part of her felt the sneaking notion, that pure instinct that maybe it was better for her to just stay at the loft and wait for him.

After Dean had left the shop she had time to herself to work her head over the conversation. She didn?t like the fact that he had a similar life to hers and had been through things that he felt guilt for. It was far too similar to the things that she felt guilty over, the regrets she?d never forget herself for.

Spade sat in the darkness staring at the gleam of moonlight as it shone across the blade of the Black Dog, still in its ruby shine of her blood spilled for the Blood Oath.

So many thoughts crossed her mind. It brought a faint smile of irony as her fingers pressed to the ivory and ebony again, playing the melody she had only hours before. Her own sweet serenade of notes was becoming bittersweet and sensual, dark and melodic to near leave her in a trance. Was it only months ago that she had rejected Auberon because she found he had chosen her for the Wild Hunt if only to have her at his side? That she had turned from him in disgust because he wanted her to embrace the monster? and now? here she was? embracing the beast of her soul.

Only Dean had been as bold enough to ask the questions he truly wanted from her. He knew that she couldn?t lie and she could have made the accusation that he used it to his advantage but she knew? that it wasn?t so. Just like Truth, Handsome knew deep down the answer. Dean had asked her if she thought she was the one killing the innocents? and she had said the only answer she knew. Yes.

Her fingers drew away from the keys as she looked to her hands. The right palm deep with a cut that would never fully heal. Cold Iron and Pure Steel would do that to a Fae? yet she didn?t mind after the clear way of clarity she finally felt after so many days of feeling like she was lost in the dark.

?Blood of my Blood. This I swear to you. No harm? no evil to be between. Tonight is ours, unbreakable bonds.?

A whisper was velvet in the night, soft and tranquil for the first moment after so long as she remembered the words spoken. The blood had stopped finally but it remained on the blade glittering. He hadn?t taken the twin blade of the Black Dog, and she had put them both back. Yet? she still needed that comfort of knowing that Greg was alright.

Unbreakable bonds to a Sidhe were those of blood and those of oath, and now she was bound to him by both ways. There was no way that harm would ever come to him.

It was an odd sensation, a strange realization as she knew in some ways? they were one and the same, lost in their own dark violence of a story that they never felt free from and never forgive. To understand him was perhaps to understand all that was within her herself and all that was forgotten ? and that understanding meant everything.

The blade was cleaned and set back home to its sheath as she moved out into the night. The wild night as the lightning chased the sky and the thunder cried out omens that seemed to urgently suggest to her turn back, to not go out into that dark night? but to wait.

She should have listened?

I'm taking a ride
With my best friend
I hope he never
let's me down again
He knows where he's taking me
Taking me where
I want to be
I'm taking a ride
With my best friend

Another night. Another time. Another place. Another dream. Sidonie stirred restlessly as she felt the power thread through her. Power that was something not of the Sidhe forging.

It moved through her before it ignited and had her snapping up and forward in the bed as that pain burned like wildfire against her palm.

A broken bond.

"Dean..."

We're flying high
We're watching the world
pass us by
Never want to come down
Never want to put my feet back
downOn the ground

A whisper as her fingers rubbed against that old scar. It would never fully heal but the bond was broken. A weary smile cut upon her lips as she felt the severing.

Sidonie knew well enogh that Dean was not dead, but the Blood Oath and its promise was destroyed.

I'm taking a ride
With my best friend
I hope he never let's me down again
Promises me I'm as safe as houses
As long as I remember
who's wearing to trousers
I hope he never let's me down again

A sigh was breathed out as she looked into that dark room. Had it not been leading to this, the falling apart and the distance.

It was only growing in measures and miles.

So long it all would go on, that great valley of distance between them. She couldn't help but wonder if he was alright.

Never let me down
See the stars,
they're shining bright
Everything's alright tonight

A close of eyes as she curled up on the bed alone, knowing well that Truth would be home soon but even Greg had his own demons anymore.

They all had demons... and some of them... just possessed a different skin then any of them ever could escape from.
