There in the less trod path of the great library, somewhere tucked safely amongst the fiction section was a most delightfully curious of books. Funny thing though about the time, you see. One must trod that less trodden path sometime past the midnight hour if they really expect to see something on the shelf other than a pointedly wide gap in the endless wall of books.

Should the timing be right, instead of a painfully noticeable gap, there sat a thick book of the richest, terra cotta-brown leather. So harmless yet so beguiling, a sweet lure that tickled like a siren's lament; queer metals and beads wove strange, ancient symbols across the carved leather. What creature was this glorious hide from? And that scent, so musky, smelling of midnight and timeless secrets... Would a tremble course up your spine to know that was human skin your fingers stroked so adoringly? Perhaps not, you've traveled to this library with full knowledge of what you might find.

Ornate, illuminated in it's whorling scripture from the inside out, it's language would melt and meld to it's reader's preference in a ripple of ink slithering it's shapes accordingly. Dark images, tantric and deliciously torturous. Sharp teeth and things that go bump in the night in the world of Fairy; the Unseelie Sidhe, the Dark Nobles of the Fae Courts. You have stumbled across their version of 'Fairy Tales'.

This is a book with a range of purposes, from entertaining sadists as they sip their nightcap, to scaring the skin off your children, and even serving as a little warning lesson for those soon to deal with the Unseelie. For if there's one thing we all know, such tales have a root of truth, and that truth is normally much more shocking than the artful embellishments added over time.

It is a thing untouched by time, and unmarred by something as mundane as a careless drip of wine. Should one find they've accidentally folded a page, it will smooth back without a crease. The fae, dark or light, are vain creatures, and will not abide a book of their telling, ending in tatters!

fun amidst all the rather colorfully dangerous and more practical bits!]]
