There was an edge of twilight as the drow rode down the long road to the front gates of the library. Even among the trees the starts found peeks at which to blink down from above.

Witnesses to his return. The heavens would be his alibi if anyone claimed he wasn't fulfilling his promise.

The gate creaked open and he wheeled in the bike to a safe spot beyond the walls. He had nothing on his person, but not out of forgetfulness. He would only need himself for this.

His head bent low as he approached the door, wondering again why he hadn't come back sooner. Was he as spineless as he purported not to be?

Lingering doubts faded with the echoes... knock.... knock.

The resonating knocks drew her from her reverie as she worked over the translation for another ancient tome. It distracted her from the thoughts that already were in her mind of the impact and stir of emotions Spider's return had on her.

Silverlana and Telorrcanis had already retired for the evening, and Oblivia and Nom had gone to have a quiet evening out with Delilah which gave Saga the library to herself.

No haunting presence of Thalas, no corruptive sin of Seirian to torment her, not even James was about for this evening.

She had changed for the evening, wearing the night shift that was near translucent midnight against her pale skin, her hair unbounded and for once unadorned by any fetish or trinket.

Midnight blues reflected the night sky, touched with stars as she approached the door, bringing it open to find the Drow there. A hint of a smile curling the sharp blade of her lips, still that smile was soft.

"I am glad to see you returned to me, Spider."

The door was drawn open.

"Come inside... your room has already been prepared."

"Thank you, Saga..." The Drow stepped inside, taking a deep breath through his nostrils. The smells were all too familiar... musty, paper-y, and most of all, mysterious. How much of that last one was provided by the witch was beyond his understanding.

He turned to Saga, studying her attire, something his eyes had never gazed on before. "Decided that if you were going to be up at this hour that it would be best to dress in something less... formal?" The comment was made half-jokingly. He yet knew so little about here that her line that divided casual and formal was shadowed to him.

"Is there anyone else here this evening? You were speaking of your sisters when we last met..."

A smile twisted to her lips as her dark eyes flashed with some private amusement as she considered him for a lingering moment. Considering her choice of words before speaking once more.

"I did not believe I was ever... formal... in my attire. Truth be told, within the night this is likely more fabric to ever touch my flesh then in other times."

She mused over teasing him but dismissed the thought, how she could purr and spill over the words of how she didn't have to wear anything at all... but it was not the time or place for such discussions.

As they spoke she ascended the steps that would lead to his room. There was much to think on when it came to herself and Spider. There was no question of feelings stirred there between, but the notion of love and companionship? Was it even possible between the pair... he was a riddle to her, an enigma and that in itself called out to her. To solve the mystery of him.

"There are others here... a few that reside here. Thalas of course comes here from time to time, and Silverlana and Telorrcanis have retired for the evening. As for Oblivia she is out with Delilah and Oblivia's recent... partner... who amusingly enough is the brother to Telorrcanis."

Blood bound siblings and oath bound siblings.

"James is otherwise... out."

The door was opened to his room and held open for his review.

"If there is anything you need... "

The Drow casually strolled in, studying the features of the room. It was simple yet filled with the necessities a guest room should have.

"It's... more than I need. Thank you..." Spider turned back to her. "Perhaps in the morning I'll catch sight of the rest of the household."

Still, the twilight was just hanging over the edge. "Was there anything else that you needed before I retire?"

Dangerously loaded questions. The pale of her hand moved to his face, thumb brushing the sharp angle of his jaw as his words echoed in her mind. Merged and pulsed around her thoughts like a heart beat born of its own will.

Anything else she needed.

Many things.

Yet she was not one meant for needful things. Her eyes closed in that moment, breathing in his presence the return of him into her life.

Those emotions had no name.

It was a simpleton's mean and manner to consider that deep well of emotions as just love.

Foolish to consider it only that.

She leaned forward then, the whisper of a breath to offer the answer as her lips brushed his as skillfully as a spiderweb wisp of touch against his mouth.

"You."

It was enough to speak those words as she stepped closer, that whisper brush of touch becoming something far more claiming.

In most incidents of affection, from what he had heard or studied, it was a reciprocal affair. You gave back just as much as you took.

When Saga stepped forward to make her claim, that shifted the equilibrium. She possessed it. In her touch, in her voice. And along with her talent, she possessed most of all, him.

Obsidian hands guided the witch's shoulders, shifting her inside. A boot locked around the door handle and pulled the portal shut, sealing them inside.

Those eyes watched him in wonder and consideration, as she was drawn inside.

A door closed sealing over the threshold that would leave them together, alone, in that room.

She let him direct her, lead her as he willed as she admired the contrasts of dark and light, white and black that they seemed to paint so prettily together whenever they were near each other.

So very drawn, her eyes touched upon his with the calm nature of those midnight blues as she looked at him in the way of intimate knowledge shared between two.

A door could hide away so many things. Secrets and Passion, Desire and souls... all of these in that night would be so.

Something occurred... there was light in the window. It was shaded mostly from the darkened interior, yet somehow it found a resting place in his eyes.

Light... Light bad... That photo-sensitivity that had never completely diminished stirred him from his rest. His head shifted to the side, seeking reprise in his pillowcase. He found another darkness greeting him, a pair of inky pools set within a pair of eye sockets.

The Drow sat up and starred ahead as he tried to make sense of things. Places... where was he again? People... that was Saga right next to him, for sure. Things... that's where the gears grinded to a halt. Okay, so I can't quite remember what happened before I dozed off...

Two things made sense at that point. Either it was a bout of morning sickness he was dealing with, or what had transpired in the night went by too fast to record.

It was rare the Seer slept, even far more rare that light would filter through but in that hour it did and she found the wincing pleasure of the drow's eyes upon her.

A hand lightly brushed upon his jaw before drawing away as she watched the confusion and drifting nature of his ways to pass through his eyes.

Morning Sickness or a tumble of memories from the night before would claim him.

A soft frown touched upon her lips as she sat up in the bed, the pale of her flesh shielding and blocking the light, or perhaps the light had all but been devoured in her presence, by her will.

"Am I meant then to apologize or are we to find that there are no regrets for the night's offerings?"

She suddenly felt so tired and lost, a press of palms against her knees as she watched him.

So much uncertainty and wonder would take her any time she was in his presence or there within the presence of the Wolf.

Saga didn't know anymore, this moment and the Drow were the things that went Unseen to her. Always.

"No.. of course you shouldn't be ashamed." Red orbs shifted to the seer's side. "I'm not, for one."

The conflict in his mind was more over what exactly had taken place. Any specifics were among the air outside, hidden among the low-lying clouds. The only thing he was certain of was that he felt spent. Not exactly what he was expecting from what was supposed to be a good night's rest.

"I... I better go freshen up. Your other housemates might be back today." To say he fumbled out of bed was an understatement. An ankle hooked around the bedsheets and took him in a smooth sweep onto the floorboards. Luckily, he was quick to untangle himself and rise up.
