The Library of Darklore was easy to find for two reasons-- first being that it had loosely advertised its own existence, and secondly being that the pathway in the Southern Glen which lead up to its doors was a worn one. The building lived up to its name in that it stood two stories high and had a dark polish to the wood of it. It was constructed in the way old libraries were in that it had a vague, church-like architecture to it. A set of double doors at the entrance was what a guest had to surpass to get inside.

Once inside, there was a wide, short corridor that ended at a large, dark wood reception desk. The desk was easy to pass by itself, but it was large and prominent, stacked with papers clipped together and the like. Normally either Thalas or Saga were at the desk-- if not, it meant they were somewhere at it's shelves, sorting or discovering what there was. Oh, right, the shelves.

The shelves were heavy with the books and they stretched on. It was not an entirely immense or cozy library. The library itself had a strange organization to it in that it was arranged like three libraries which were contained in the same building. The first inner library contained books on Magic. That is, magic that was theoretical, and magic that was real. The second section contained books on items. Magical, nonmagical, theory and reality. The third section was roughly on "the living" or even, those that appear to be living or behaving as living creatures do. That would range from humans to zombies to possession-- any of that, so long as it dealt with interactions and behaviors between the living. From there, the sections were alphabetized much as any normal library would be.

To rent a book here was easy enough. Going to the desk before leaving, it required only a pen prick of your finger and the blood of it would become the ink that wrote your name, the date, and what you'd checked out. Trying to skip the check out process? Well, it generally wasn't a good idea to take an item, already with dark intentions, from the Library of Darklore. It was safe to say there was a certain karma that befell those who took such an action.
