It was always nice to get a day off from your worries. And thats just what the catling had decided to do today. So she packed a picnic, saddled up a pegasus and took off to join Charna and the girls at the seaside for the day.

The wind was brisk and slightly chilly as the pair flew over the coast. A spark of mischief had the catling aming her mount low to crash through the crest of a frothy white wave. The mare made a sound of delight at the game and proceeded to frisk through several more waves, breaking through then dashing away again in a glittering trail of spray.

By the time they arrived at the rented sea side cottage the catling was soaked to the skin, and laughing happily for the first time in weeks.

The catling's laughter woke the vixen from an afternoon nap on the cottage's small porch. Although slightly groggy, she still managed to beam magnificently at the approaching woman, and leap from her seat to embrace her. The vacation had done wonders for the young woman's nerves, and for her formally sickly complexion. While not 'tan' exactly, she at least looked healthy.

"Kina, love! We've missed you, so! How is everything? Come! Sit! I'll bring some juice!"

All said with such enthusiasm as she steered the catling past Ares and the cubs, who were curled together, asleep, on some cushions.

A delighted smile lingers on the catlings lips. "have the girls been good for you Charna?" this said while casting a loving glance over the cubs and the sleeping dog.

"Everything is going well at home... or at least it will be once we get the fire archers trained. I cant wait for you to get home!"

Settleing onto the porch swing the catling begins laying out the picnic she packed.

"The girls have been delightful!"

She replied, just as happily, clapping her hands together. She was leaning against the railing, her back to the sun, looking over the catling.

"They've missed you something awful, though. It'll be such a nice surprise for them to wake up and see you."

A dreamy sigh as watched the food being set out and then glanced inside the cozy little cottage.

"It's almost sad to think of going home...it's so peaceful here. But I do miss Lions Pride, not to mention the Red Dragon."

A thoughtful smile now, before grinning a bit more curiously.

"Fire archers, eh?"
