Yep this is the obligitory Hi welcome to my story folder post.

Hi, Welcome to Lions pride. Pretty open about who posts here, so have fun. The setting is a racing pegasi stable, the house and grounds that it sits on and a nearby waterfall called SilverIce falls. A pair of small buildings rests near the falls a cabin and the cottage occupied by Aubriel Kaut and her son Drakon.

The main house hosts the main branch of the family specifically Kina and her cubs Aysel and Katyana, with suites of rooms dedicated to the use of each of her wives.

Her Grandchildren

Reiyen Storme Daughter of Stasei and Smaug, the white dragon. Reiyen is half shadowfox half dragon making her as she proclaims "the only Fox-dragon around! So I'm Unique!" The little fox dragonling is very childlike, and currently learning the craft of the dreamwalkers a sect of mages devoted to the magic of dreams.

Shandren Esme Firstborn daughter of Imili and Blaze part of a litter of four. Despite all confusion Shan is Kina's heir as property and titles always pass to the first daughters in the matriarichal society of Kisan.

Kireth Second daughter of Imili and Blaze. A healer at the temple of Kinatal in the heart of the Kisan empire.

Kenteth Only son of Imili and Blaze. High ranking solider in the Kisani military and trainer of the Shadowguard, a troup of skilled soildiers with the ability to literally become the shadows. Kenteth also runs ShadowKnight vinyards, makers of the Starfall and Whitestar wines Kina often serves at the inn. They also produce the peculiar line of brandy from the flower of the sunpear cactus, which has some rather arouseing side effects.

Aubriel Youngest of Imili and Blaze's first litter. Trained as a dancer, but at heart a mother and grower of things. She runs a small cottage farm called Silverice cottage, under the falls leading into the lake at the edge of the woods between Lions Pride and the Falconne's home of Gryphons Eyrie.

Ariella Part of Imili's second litter, Ariella lacks the shifting magic of most the catling blood and is therefore stuck in the form of a charcoal gray and black tigress with brilliant sea green eyes. Fostered since shortly after her birth with the pixie Amthyst Oak.

Audrien Another of Imili's brood. Like her twin she lacks the shifting magic of the catlings but unlike her twin she is trapped in human form. Both twins share that shadow like tiger striping and the sea green eyes. She also is fostered with Amthy.

Her grandchildrens children

Drakon Son of Aubriel and Smaug the white dragon. Halfbrother to Reiyen. Half grasscat like his grandmother and her mother, and half dragon like his father, the boy has an impressive pair of leathery golden wings in both his human and lion forms.

Kirin Daughter of Kireth and Jayce. Jayce and Kireth parted ways before the birth of the twins, leaving Kireth to raise them alone at the temple of Kinatal.

Kendri Son of Kireth and Jayce, Kirin's twin. A rather shy and quiet boy, never speaks above a whisper.

Amaris Imiline Infant daughter of Shandren and Artemus Kurgen. Mari is the first cub to follow a shapeshifting herritage outside of the feline.. she was born a tiny snow white polar bear cub.

A note on some of the places mentioned in these threads.

Kisan also called the shadowsands. This is the realm where Kina was born and lived most of her life, only coming to Rhydin in the last few years of it. Ninety percent of the empire is a sprawling desert of pale grey sands. the other ten percent are the rich highlands marking the border with Kemria.

Kinatal Temple The capital of the Kisani empire, the walled temple and keep has slowly spread into a college like compound used for the training of elite soilders and healers. This is where Kina's grandaughter Kireth lives and works as a healer.

Kemria the cliffside kingdom bordering Kisan. Birthplace of Kinas first husband and his daughters. Thrown into civil unrest by the murder of its Queen close to thirty years ago, the peacekeeping forces of Kisan have been maintaining order in the name of the rightful heirs to the throne. This order has been recently challenged by the exiled brother of the former Queen who has been massing an army on the other side of the sea.

Lion's Pride Soon after coming to Rhydin in the midst of a craze for the sport of pegasi raceing Kina purchased a stable along with a large ammount of property she called the property Lion's Pride and worked the animals with her oldest daughter Imili. After Imili died giving birth to her human daughter Audrien, Kina lost all intrest in the property only moving back in after wedding Quiet Populi and learning of the impending birth of their cubs. After her marriage to Antonio Kina gave the house and some of the grounds to Charna and Rory.

Gryphon's Eyrie This large palazzo was the home occupied by Antonio Falconnne before his marriage to Kina. Christened Gryphon's Eyrie shortly after their marriage when in a search for party favors for the autumn gala hosted at the gardens Kina decided that the Gryphon was the perfect mateing of Falcon and Lion, and therefore an apt symbol for their union. Recently much redecorateing has been going on as what was once a bachelors home is now fitted to accomidate the arrival of several small children.

The Alley Cat Club situated in a converted warehouse in the dockside district, the alley cat club was the failed nightclub venture of Kina and Jewel Ravenlock. Despite drastic renovations and redecoration the club fialed do to lack of patronage. Kina keeps the place to use for family gatherings and the like. the back side of the building houses the small apartment that Kina occupied before her marriage to Quiet, which the catling still uses as a place to think and recover in privacy.

The Falconne Gardens The inner city gardens owned by Antonio Falconne, a peaceful safehaven for the Falconne family and their invited guests. Currently Kina's childhood companion and pet the eight foot long sand scorpion Archibald lives in the sand grotto of the gardens.

For those of you interested in posting stories based in and around the Alley Cat Club, Feel free to post them here. Time constraints and just a lack of knowing where to start has kept me from getting up an in character post about the club.

The basics on the setting and some of the NPC characters you can find in the OOC Alley cat club settings thread. Because we hope that interest in the club keeps up here, and if it does we plan to expand the idea with a folder of its own , When you post a thread for the club please start the title with ACC, so we know its an Alley Cat Club post.

A few of you have asked if we plan on having a live room for the Alley cat club, I'm looking into that. Right now if anyone is really interested in this, let me know and we will see what we can work out, maybe using an AIM chat for now.

I'm sure I've forgotten things. Feel free to ask questions.

You may or may not have noticed that some of the threads and posts in this folder have been getting an overhaul. I'm somewhat obsessive about everything having a uniform look, and about posting in the forums in story form rather than the ::Action:: format used in the chat rooms.

I've also been correcting spelling and grammar errors where I find them. I'm not changing the content of anyones posts, just playing editor.

So Please Double check your posts before you post them. It has taken me almost a half hour a day just to go through and fix the new posts, with the forums load time and all, and its just getting annoying :( If the posts keep getting put up without editing, I'll just start moving them.
