The black coach, pulled by six back horses rumbled down the road to their new home, but this time it had gone in a different direction. Instead of climbing to the desolate area of the southwest, they travel easterly and down along the coast. Some areas of the road took them within yards of the great cliffs that look out over the ocean. Inside the coach are two vampires of renown.

"My love, I do hope that you will like this place. It will be ours, all ours,? Talomar said to his wife, Tara, as the carriage road along. ?No old memories to soil it; and I did try to find a place that would be more suitable to your needs without having major alterations."

Tara Rynieyn sat with her face and hands pressed up against the window of the carriage as they passed all these new places she had never been. They seemed to be so high up which excited her because she loved to take dives off cliffs (and push others off them) in her spare time. What fun that would be to actually have them nearby instead of having to drag your victim in search of a cliff. Talk about convenience! She giggled and turned her head to look at him. "I love it already, Twinkletoes. You are always so good to me."

"I try to be, sweetheart. You know how much I love you, and I did want to have a home that was just for us. The other castle was not yours, and neither was it mine. It was Dominique's and when she passed on, I never felt comfortable there." The coach began to drive up a twisting, turning driveway that led to the castle.

"At least I won't have to worry about her trying to choke me in muh sleep anymore," she said with a relieved look and pointed to the castle in the distance. "Is that it?!"

Talomar smiled proudly at the silhouette of the magnificent castle. "Yes, love. That's our home; if you like it, of course. You have the final say."

"Holy gumdrops it's ginormous!" She was blinking with her mouth wide open. Then she snuggled up against him and began to pet his chest. "Muffin, can we christen every room in it this time? We never did that at the old castle an' I think I'd like to do that."

"You better believe it, my sweet cakes - every room twice."

She blushed at the thought of doing it twice in each room and wondered if they'd have the strength, that is until she would see the skeletal staff.

The coach continued until they were in front of the old cathedral-type door with lights on either side and ivy running up the walls. The door open and they stepped out. Talomar has arranged for a skeletal staff to be present, and the head butler opened the door. "Good eve, m'lord...m'lady. We've been expecting you." They truly looked skeletal, or at least ghoulish.

This was probably the coolest servants she ever had and of course, because they were new, the New Rule applied, which meant that Tara had to go up to the ones closest to her and poke/prod them to (a) see if they were real and (b) just to be annoying. When she was finished with her impromptu examination, she turned to her husband and nodded. "They are sufficient, honeysuckle."

The main entrance was more circular than anything else, with several hallways going off in spoke-like fashion. Talomar took Tara to the main hallway that was at the "12 o'clock" position when coming in the door. This led in to a very large circular chamber with large Roman columns and steps going around in concentric circles. "I wanted something that was in some way similar to what you showed me in your castle, my love. Is this suitable?"

She walked over to the Roman columns and followed them up to the ceiling, then all the way back down. With a slight poke and a sniff later, she turned her head to the side and grinned. "Affirmative, lumpkin. Can we hang bad people on them and use them as pinatas?"

"Of course, love. We can even chain them to the columns for torture. But there's much more to see."

The Solarium

They left the dark Roman chamber and returned to the main hall with the marble flooring and a strange circular pattern in the center of the circular entrance hall. Now they were facing the front door. "Off to our right, my sweet, is the hallway (at the 10 o'clock position when entering) that leads to the dinning room, kitchen and staff quarters. That other hallway on the right (9 o'clock position when entering) goes to a library and music room. I know how much you love music."

Tara marched toward the music room, singing at the top of her lungs. "LA LA LA! I can sing so well, muffin, that a famous composer wanted me to be in his opera once but I did nuh like the fact that I had to wear a heavy wig so I passed it up. Let's go play with the music box!" Now, by "music box" she could only mean the piano.

"How about we play the music box later, my sweet, for there is so more to show you."

Banging on the many keys, making a ton of noise, she pouted at him. "Oh, but honeysuckle!"

"Come!" He reached for her hand and pulled her along to the opposite side. They went through the 3 o'clock door that led to the magnificent solarium. "Here, my little vampire, is the solarium!

Her nose crinkled when he raised his voice for her to go to him but she did without verbal complaint and peered inside the solarium when they got there. "Ooooh....It is perty an' I am gonna put all muh stuffs in it." She grinned. "You can have that corner over there," she said and pointed to the northeast corner where there was a small empty space.?

?Ahh..perfect for my roses, dear heart. You are too generous. Now, this is where Herbert and Humphrey will live, and all your other thousands of deadly and gruesome fauna. It is tall enough for trees that will have branches for your snakes, for Gerald who loves it high, and for Ezekiel and Drake to crawl in the gloom below."

The solarium was large enough to house Tara?s forest of deadly plants. Herbert & Humphrey are kept in a cage that has a sign that is reminiscent of Dante's Inferno that states ?Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.? Talomar waved his arms around like a composer before an orchestra. "What do you think of this, my lady?"

She smiled at the thought of his roses complimenting all her grisly plant life and giggled. It took several moments for her to respond to his voice because she was standing there filling the rest of the room with all her things in her mind. She had even reorganized the room several times.

" But there are other rooms, below us," he said with mystery in his voice.

"Other rooms?" she asked and a curious expression followed. The same expression that had gotten her into a ton of trouble in the past but was rather cute to behold.

He led her out in to the circular main hall. All the "spoke" hallways had heavy sliding doors that closed them off from the main hall, but the hallway at the one o'clock position was larger and open. It led to a large hall with stairs going up and down.

Bat Boxes and Doll Pedestals

"What kind of other rooms are they, Talomar? Are they filled from floor to ceiling with presents for me, hmm? Huh? Will I like them? Do I get my own rooms? How come you didn't tell me about them when we were discussing the castle? Are they secret?"

He just smiled as he led her down the steps. "Yes, some are secret and nearly all are yours in one way or another." The first level before the main floor still seemed nothing like a basement or cellar or caverns. It had many large storage rooms. "These rooms are all yours, my love. You can use them in whatever way you wish."

She did not know what she had been expecting but storage rooms were not it. At the sight of them she pouted. "Oh, okies," she said in a voice that left little doubt she was disappointed. "Where are your rooms, muffin?"

"I thought these rooms might be used for your Rhydin Spring Water business, love. Down below we have far more interesting rooms." He led her down steps that were much more ancient, rough hewn stone. When they reached the next level it was as if they just entered huge caverns beneath the earth, winding in all directions. "Here we have secret passageways."

And what Tara didn't just adore secret passages! She lit up and bounced a bit. "Yay! I love them! Let's go explore them and in the dark places you can put your hand up muh dress and kiss me," she giggled against his chest she was rubbing her nose on.

He pulled her along dark passageways, turning left and right until they arrived at a small chamber. "Here...I was thinking of bat boxes! And there are openings in the walls that would be perfect for coffins!" His hand went up her dress and felt her perfectly firm butt.

In the dark her arms went around his neck and her lips searched out his. "I love you, Talomar," she whispered. "Thank you for this beautiful new home. It is perfect an' I don't wish to ever leave," she said with a slight gasp as he began to take her up on her suggestion. "Maybe we can make love in one of the coffins again like we did that one night, remember?"

"Do I remember? That was a night I'll never forget. But there's more. Upstairs." This time they moved, not as mortals, but as the unalive. Nearly instantly he was at the top of the stairs where their "living" quarters were. Once again rooms came off in spokes from a central hall. Each room up here was beautifully paneled in dark wood.

"More?" she said with almost a groan as he teleported them from where they had been standing (and where he was feeling her up) to the living quarters. She wobbled for a moment, becoming dizzy from the sudden change and leaned against him. "Which one is our room?"

The Upper Rooms

"I'll show you later. First, I want you to know that each of these rooms will be for your many interests. This room is just for your dollies. He opened the door and there were twelve pedestals, one for each of her dolls.

Arthur?s pedestal was of marble. There were eleven other pedestals going around the circumference of the room. One for Derek Doll, another for Sally Dribblepants, more for Edna Doll, Bone China, Slave Talula, Master Brutal, Master Maxwell, Slave Sylvia Mollie Dollie, and the others.

?We have another room for your magnificent soldier collection and all the ancillary equipment that goes with it. The next room down the hall is for your scabology laboratory and there?s a tank in there for Drake, your bushmaster snake, another for Gerard, your baby taipan, and another for Ezekiel, your dreaded Fer De Lance. Tomorrow I'll should you the grounds with stables for your llama and all the other animals. This castle even has a moat for the alligator. Now...One more room!"

"You thought of all this?!"

"Well, I know how much you missed your things. I felt badly about that.

She was stunned. Normally he was so busy with his own business. She never would have thought he would have been concerned with all the things she enjoyed. "I am saving up for new minis so dun worry, punkin. One day I will be able to have saved enough money to fill ALL these rooms!"

"Now...for the pi?ce de r?sistance!" Talomar led her down the hallway to the right, a particularly beautiful hallway. They came to the Master Suite with six smaller rooms that could be nurseries, a very sexy chamber that plush furniture and looked like various forms of bondage would be enjoyed here, and then the master bedroom and bath.

Talomar smiled a knowing smile. "I have something to show you." He opened the door to their bedroom and there was a bed unlike any other in it's magnificence. The woodworking was done by a master, showing bats in flight out of a cave, with trees, the moon, and constellations. There were an armoire and a vanity with no glass in the mirror stand. There were also two large wardrobes. "What do you think? Can we live here?" Talomar asked her.

She had paused at each of the nurseries and smiled, fully expecting to be filling them as soon as possible. She gave him a look each time she stopped too, just to drive home the fact that she had yet to conceive their second child which, to her, should be a top priority. At the master bedroom she stepped inside and swept her eyes up and over it. "Aye, I like this very much. It's cozy."

"I hope this will be alright. I looked on ten planets, just for the perfect bed."

"Oooh!" she squealed and jumped on him. "I love it so much! You have outdone yourself this time, Talomar," she said and began to kiss him a hundred and one times.

Return to the Cave of Love

He kissed her back hard...strong arms wrapping around her beautiful, sexy body. "I love you so much. You have put up with so much to be with me, and I appreciate that. I also want you to know that I "found" a fortune, so we are no longer poor and you don't have to sell my body anymore."

Hanging in his arms was almost as much fun as hanging upside down. She clung to him and continued to kiss him in between his words. "I dun hafta put up with so much to be with you, Muffin. I love you, I do. An' you love me. An' that is why we is perf......" She blinked. "What do you mean you found a fortune? How much? Where? Did you hafta kill someone for it?" She hoped he had.

"Well, let's say that there was a fortune just waiting to be taken (from his bank account), and I took it."

For a moment it looked like she might not be buying what he was saying but she remembered she had taken money from lots of people (mostly dead husbands and lovers) so it was entirely possible he had done the same although she hoped it wasn't a lover. At that thought she frowned a little and hugged him harder to her before huffing. "Okies, so when do we get to make another baby? You promised Talomar!"

"I think we should immediately and christen this room first."

If she had it her way she would be servicing him morning, noon and night. She looked to the bed. "Right now? You aren't gonna say, "Wait...there's more" an' drag me off to some other room?"

?Oh...there's more. There's my special dungeon the level below the caverns, and the dungeon cells are there. There's also a secret, hidden passageway that leads down to the water. There is a kennel for your dogs Butch the Rottweiler hellhound (named for Tara's old carriage driver) and Fred the golden retriever (who likes to snack on femur bones with Tara). And then there is another entire level above us. But for now....I just want you."

"When do we move in? Do you think Claire's okay with Marius in the carriage?"

"We shall move in tomorrow, love. We just need to sign the papers."

"Where will we sleep until then?"

"Let's spend a last day in the cave...and make it a good one." He winked at her.

She tucked her finger in her bottom lip and gave him her best bedroom eyes. "Okay. I like that cave."

On the way out of the castle they passed over the moat where Rigby, the nine-foot alligator who loves to eat chickens (and intruders) would be kept.

That night they made very good use of their cave love nest.
