::Shea stood at the front door of that castle, again she had come to that side of town for some peace of mind. But sitting in the woods had brought her to the realization that she might need to go and make and apology to the Count for Assadars rudeness eves ago. Shea's back ground was telling her that even though it may not have been her place to do so, she had not been rude or had not had the intent of being so. But she would rather clear the air than have any enemies especially ones like the Count and his wife. So now Shea stood in the cold morning wind dark green cloaks hood pulled over her fair face gloved hand knocked thrice on the door before her, now all she had to do was wait..Jade hues kept locked on those doors. Hoping this was not some grand mistake.::

Gaida

Gaida had just given the staff of nearly twenty-five their morning instructions when the knock came upon the door. A maid by the name of Luisa turned to get the door but Gaida stopped her.

?Luisa, you have work to see to. I?ll get the door.?

The maid curtsied and ran off to catch up with Winnie, another young servant in the employ of the Longdens. Together they hurried down the hall to attend to their chores.

Gaida went to the door not knowing what to expect. There had been many visitors lately with the gubernatorial race, SECTOR business, family visits and such, and whenever possible Gaida preferred to greet the guests herself to make sure there were no mistakes made in diplomacy or cordiality.

The door opened.

She saw a young woman standing there, a woman with impressive jade green eyes.

?Good morn, m?lady. How may we help you this day??

::Shea lowered that dark green hood to allow those dark blue locks to sweep her faceface before tucking them back behind her Elven ears:: Good morn, to you My lady :: Shea replied with a bow of her head, she was a guest here and her court up brining was kicking in to high gear, polite was Sheas second nature.::

I have business with The Count :: Shea had no appointment, and had not mentioned her coming to anyone it was more of spur of the moment. But even though it was more a spur of the moment thing Shea knew now that she had made the right choice in coming here on behalf of her 'friend.' Those jade hues looked to the woman before her.:: I do hope I am not intruding My lady I have no appointment with M'Lord Longden :: Shea would admit to the woman standing on the other side of the door, those jade hues never looked away for a moment, ready to answer what questions may come next::

?No appointment is necessary,? said the deep, soothing voice of Count Talomar Longden as he suddenly appeared in the doorway behind Ms. Serin.

?You may go on ahead of me to S.E.C.T.O.R., Gaida. I?ll be there after breakfast. Please reschedule my first appointment.?

He watched his perfectly efficient valet be on her way, then he turned toward the beautiful young woman who was at his door. He smiled and motioned with his hands for her to enter.

?Come in, please. It?s far too cold for you to be standing there. Where are our manners? It seems like this winter is just never going to end, doesn?t it??

He closed the door behind her and motioned to the hallway that departed the large, darkly paneled circular main hall as a ?spoke? slightly to the left of center, in what might be seen as the 10 o?clock direction from the front door.

?You simply must join me for a little breakfast. You can?t say ?no?. It?s delicious and I would love the company.?

He then stopped halfway to the hall and smiled at her. ?Let?s see. It was in the inn a few nights ago, and I believe you said your name is . . . Shea?? Talomar had a mind that forgot very little. He was dressed in black pants and shinned, black boots. His shirt was a deep blue and the top two buttons were left open; his long, black hair lay over his shoulders in soft waves. ?It?s so nice to see you again,? he said pleasantly, almost as if he had expected to.

:; First her ears perked hearing the voice, those jade hues shifted to behind the woman who had answered the door. Those hues rested on the Count as he spoke. Silent just looking on. Waiting to be invited in.::

::Shea walked in slowly those jade eyes taking in the room with a smile:; Thank you..Aye Winter has its fine grip on Rhydin it seems.. :: jade hues swept back to him:: breakfast..sounds very good :: Shea nodded:: of coarse M'lord I will join you.

::She followed along stopping as he did, jade hues were sweeping the surround again taking in this castle different from those she was used to. Her eyes again swept back to him so not to seem rude:: Aye My Lord it as a few eves ago at the inn. Yes, Shea GreenStone.

::Shea wore that dark green cloak over her shoulders that hid most of her body under it, save for those black boots that rested on the floor. That cloak kept out the cold. Her hues swept him softly, expecting a count to be dressed in such clothing,dark..well taliored. She nodded softly:: Thank you for welcoming me.

::That soft smile touched her cheeks as those gloved hands rose to push back those strands of dark blue, always falling to their perch behind her ears again:: Tis a lovely Castle you have here. :: said with an upbeat tone to her voice Shea knew Castles knew them well. Ones that impressed her were rare..::

The Count smiled, ?Thank you, Shea. That?s kind of you to say. Tara and I do enjoy it here.?

He led her to the solarium at the rear of the castle. The morning sun was shining between the passing clouds, sending glistening light off the newly fallen snow that was laying thick upon the ground, on tree branches and the top of the brick wall that came between the castle and the ocean. The table by the window was bathed in light and covered in white linen with a small vase of roses. The staff had already been advised by Gaida that Talomar had a guest for breakfast, and a second setting had been placed on the table. On both sides of the small breakfast table were cups of coffee (the half-and-half and sweeteners in the center), and small bowls with a fresh raspberry and blueberry mixture.

Talomar motioned to the chair where a servant was waiting to assist Jade, ?Please, my dear, have a seat and make yourself at home. If coffee is not your preference, we also have a selection of teas.?

He sat opposite Jade, his eyes taking in the features which has attracted him to her the other night. ?I?m just so glad you came. What a lovely way to begin a new day.?

::Shea crossed in to the room, the morning light bathed her face in its glow, catching those dark blue locks and making them shine. The view was emmence. It took her breath away. Shea moved towards that chair slowly slipping her cloak off her slender shoulders to drape the back of that chair that had been offered to her. ::

::Shea was dressed in her classic fashion: black pants long and form fitted, with that calen mithral belt placed low upon her hips, weapons as always present at both sides of that belt. One sword at the left tightly sheathed. A sword and dagger at the right, also tightly sheathed. Her top was a soft plum color with long sleeves and a swooping neckline, to reveal those two necklaces that hung about her neck. Those long softly wavy locks of blue fell long past over her shoulders now as she sat down. Those jade colored hues looked to the coffee. She had been in Rhydin for a long time now and never had coffee.:: " I think i should just like some tea, if it is not to much trouble...any kind will suit me fine. "

:Shea smiled glancing out the window, then down to the bowls of berries. Then up to the Count again:: "Aye it is a lovely way to start a new day, the view here is amazing...reminds me some of home, looking out to see the ocean". ::Shea missed home that was evedent everytime she talked about it.She slowly pulled off those black gloves she wore and tucked them away back in to her cloak::

::.Her fingers idly graced the shortest of those two necklaces that she wore. Her fingers slid over that gem that hung there from a mastery in jewelry long slender line of what looked like a silver chain.. (Which was mithral) from which hung that blue green gem that glittered in the morning light. It hung from the chain soft whips of that same silver wrapped about the gem, looking as wind would if it had solid shape. Her bare fingertips rested then on the table top upon that fine white linen. A smile played across her fair features.:: "How is Miss Tara?" ::Shea had not seen the countess in a while::

Talomar briefly noticed her weapons which looked as though they would be very effective against any mortal. However, his eyes preferred to dwell upon her beauty displayed nicely in the low neckline of her top, the way her pants hugged her hips, and her beautiful hair cascading upon delicious slender shoulders. Yes, she was a beautiful, formidable woman, and he was very glad she was here.

He signaled for tea and immediately one of the staff disappeared into the kitchen.

He watched her fingers move on her necklace, one that was obviously mithral. He recognized the valuable Elfin metal from his trade, but never saw it look so good as it did on Shea. ?My wife is well, but noticeably absent, I?m afraid. Thank you for asking, and I?ll let her know you inquired.?

The servant came with the tea, and set it before Shea. ?Excuse me, please. Here you are, m?lady. It?s very hot.? The servant curtsied, took up her cup of coffee, and then went back to where she had been standing.

The Count prepared his coffee and took a sip. ?So, tell me please, Shea, to what do I owe the honor and pleasure of your visit??

::Shea nodded to the servant with thanks. Her eyes rested upon the count:: "I am glad to hear she is well." ::referring to Tara. As she lifted that tea cup up in to her fingers and blew across it, the tea seemed to cool as if touched softly by a cooler breeze.::

:: Shea took a slow sip then lowered the cup hearing him ask why she had come right down to business, twas usually that way,as of late as of always with Shea:: "My visit this morn, is to apologies for my friends..and I use that term very very. loosely." :: Shea smirked thinking of how she had treated Assadar one night later, making sure he'd watch his step: "His rudeness that night at the inn towards you and myself in part was uncalled for and unjust..." :: Another slow sip of tea, as she savored it, both the flavor and the warmth of the cup against her bare fingers.::

"Assadar is new in town and his nature seems to be one of rudeness. His search for miss Storm noble no doubt but still I came here to apologies for him, and for myself as well. It was not my intent to be rude to you My Lord Longden. I would not wish to make any enemies of those with power in Rhydin.Such as yourself, so I thought it best I come and speak with you personally so that all would be well." :: She smiled softly as that cup left her fingers and floated down tot he table, something Shea did often, not because she was lazy but because she could, the benefits of being a Wind Mage.::

Smoking hot cinnamon buns with icing were brought over to the table as Shea was speaking. Scrambled eggs and sausage were also delivered on a plate for each of them. Talomar look a fork-full of the eggs and listened intently to all that Shea was saying.

He dabbed his lips with the white linen napkin and smiled warmly to her. ?My dear Shea, you are indeed a delight. No apology is necessary. I?ve never thought anything of you save for that which is good.? Talomar reached across the table and took her hand in his strong, but soft hand; and he gave her a gentle squeeze before releasing it.

?Now, that . . . what?s his name? Assadar? I was not at all amused by his rudeness, yet I let it pass because I thought he might be of special interest to you and I did not want to cause you any discomfort.? Talomar grinned, ?He appeared to be a persistent little bee, so I thought it was best just to let him chattel on.?

One of the cinnamon buns appeared in his right hand and he brought it to his lips for a small bite. He set it down and wiped his fingers and lips on the napkin. ?I must warn you, Martha?s cinnamon buns are absolutely addictive. One bite and you?ll want to breakfast here every day.? He gave Shea a wink and looked out the window for a moment before turning back to her.

?I should probably confess that I walked over to you at the Inn because I found you to be extremely attractive, and I was just far too curious to find out who you are. There. I?ve said it. I sit here before you with motives totally exposed, begging your forgiveness.?

:: soon after her hand slipped from his back to the table Shea took that fork in hand to take soft little bite of the food, it had been days since she'd sat down to eat, or eaten much at all for that matter. The sweet smell of the cinnamon buns floated to her and she took it in with a smile.:: " Trust me My Lord I was not amused either. Special interest? " ::Shea almost laughed at that.:: "Hardly that, I understand his wanting to help, and his need for his peoples safety. But I trust you I've warmed him to watch his step. Persistent indeed that he is." :: Annoying, was the word. Shea had never met a high elf like Assadar;perhaps his name suited him she smirked softly, taking a slow bite of that cinnamon bun, it was very good sweet and warm. Shea had never tried anything like it before. So Pleasing to her senses.::

:: She softly tucked those ever falling strands of dark blue behind her Elven ears and nodded to him: did he say extremely attractive? A soft blush touched her fair cheeks:: "Curious is not a bad thing, and I was well aware of why you came to speak with me." ::jade hues glanced up to him, what woman wouldnt find him attractive, even someone blind could..:: " Elven eyes see much. And now you know who I am..and I have gotten to enjoy a fine breakfast and your company as well " .::sure there was all those long most likely boring stories she had to tell, about ehr homelands and who she was what she did... her mind was a muttled mess as of late.::

:: a soft smile graced her features as jade hues looked across the table:: " There is nothing to forgive, and than you for the complement," :: she took another slow bite of food then a sip of tea, glancing out the window. Letting the sun light filter in to her eyes and over her face, trying to hide the fact that that blush had deepened just slightly::

Count Longden watched Shea?s jade hued eyes as he listened to her speak of Assadar. ?I see,? he said contemplatively. ?If I had known that he was neither someone with whom you were involved, nor even a friend, I would have made sure he didn?t bother you. I?m so sorry for not discerning that and failing to protect you from that busy bee. It won?t happen again.?

He leaned back and sipped his coffee as he watched Shea gazing out the window. The way the early sun played off her hair and face made her a delight to watch. She might catch him staring, but he was never one to be shy about such things. ?So beautiful. . .? he caught himself saying. ?Out there, I mean,? he added in an attempt to recover.

?Perhaps after breakfast, if you?d like, we could take a walk to the back wall. It?s only five feet high, and even in winter it provides a spectacular view of the ocean.? He pondered the fact that he was in no hurry for this breakfast to end. Appointments at SECTOR could wait.

::shea coudlnt help but giggle :: "Invoved with..." : nearly full giggle now as she regained her composure:: " I told him I'd help him out, but to watch his step too..he may be annoying but he has his heart in the right place.Hes not a friend but hes not a foe either. I hardly need protection my lord...least of all from Assadar.":Shea could hold her own, against most, mortal and not so mortal alike. That showed in those deep jade hues that had those soft swirls of blue in them, in the light those soft halos of silver around the outter edge of the jade color was seen, ages upon ages of wisdom for one so young::

::a soft shrug sent those dark blue locks fell across her cheeks as they often did, her ears perked a moment looking to him then out the window, some part of her caught the fact that he was talkking about her and not the view.. but with that lovely smile shespoke:; " yes its lovely out there.."

::shea took a another slow sip of tea, and nodded:: " I would like that, a walk sounds very nice." :: winter or not Shea didnt mind the cold, she'd sent how many days on those very shores wondering about in the snow in the cold waves Shea loved being outside, in the open air it was after all her element.::

Talomar had to laugh when he saw her giggle and heard her response. He had no doubt that this woman could indeed protect herself from Assadar, and that poor Assadar would find himself thoroughly sliced and diced if he became too much of an annoyance to Shea.

?Excellent!? he said, when she responded that she would like to take a look at the ocean, and then he took another bite of the cinnamon bun. ?Before you go on your way, we?ll just take a little detour for what some call ?a scenic view?.?

Some of the scrambled eggs and sausage were properly forked to him mouth, followed by another dab of the napkin to his lips. ?So, tell me, Shea, where do you come from; what do you do; any husband at home or serious relationship?? He just had to throw that last question in; after all, she did say ?curious is not a bad thing?.

::Shea took a soft bite of that sweet bun, and another bite of eggs, with a nod, the scenic view sounded nice. Shea smiled and dabbed at her mouth with that napkin. But in the end she ended up licking off what ever part of that sweet sugary substance that lie there, the questions came as no surprise, not even the last one. Shea had nothing to hide about who she was or where she came from or even her current relationship standings..:: " My home lies to the far North of Rhydin well hidden, beyond the mountains and woodlands. The Elven lands are my home lands. But my home is in Greenstone which is at the far north of those lands, at the castle and keep where my eldest sister now rules." ::a sip of tea as as she remembered home not as if she could forget it:: " In Rhydin I do many things, serve as a city guard, sword for hire. Lend my hand or blade to friends that may need it. as well as many other missions here and there.."

;Another bite of that sweet bun, that was almost gone.:: " At home I am high knight of the castle and keep of GreenStone, A Ranger and both at Home or Rhydin I am an Elemental Mage." :: Hence all the magic about her, that ever present glow, of magic, in her eyes and all about her.:: " And no husband, not here or at home. As far as serious relationships..."

::her fingers graced that medallions chain that other necklace that hung from her neck inches below her necklace from her homelands. It was a simple medallion that she had been given, a fired earth circle, with a hollow center, fine gold wrapped from the center to the edges forming eight spokes around the wheel. It was simple yet it looked very good on her hanging low in to that neckline:: " I do not know what it is that I would call it... perhaps not serious as I once hoped..." :: her words trailed off as those hues gazed out the window and her hand lowered to her lap once more...:: " The only man in my life is my son." ::That would surely bring more questions. Shea enjoyed talking about her home and what she did. It was the matter of the owner of that medallion that troubled her and it could been seen; that slight tinge of sadness in her jade hues as the light hit them::

Talomar listened intently to her answers, and they continued to talk throughout breakfast, sharing information about each other. It was daylight, so Tara was asleep; otherwise he?d have invited his wife to join them.

When breakfast ended they arose from the table and Talomar had his cloak brought to him while he helped Shea with hers.

They left the room and went out a rear doorway and into the cold air. The cold didn?t have much effect on Talomar, and he noticed that Shea also handed it without problem. They took a path that had been shoveled the day before and walked to the wall. The wind blew their hair around as he pointed out various sights. They had no problem looking down on the city from this vantage point. He had always loved that view. It reminded him of the nights he and Tara would sit on the ledge of the wall and look out over the city lights. A brief smile came to his face.

They gradually made their way around to the front of the castle where the wind was not so strong, not that it ever bothered Shea. They stood at the drive a while longer and talked. He finally said, ?Well, it?s been a lovely visit, Shea. I?m so glad you came. I actually have something to thank Assadar for. I have a coach that can take you back to the city or wherever you wish to go.?

The Count bowed and wrapped his cape around himself and disappeared from view. He had things to do elsewhere, and would be gone for a very long time.

::Shea nodded:; Thank you ::after the lovely walk around and all the sights she too had things to do, she would delcine the coach ride. Some where in the woods her mare was waiting she would bid the count and castle farewell and slip off in to the winds. So much to do::
