She'd just left the doctors office and was on her way back home when she thought she'd stop by. Stepping into the GH, Charlotte smiled to herself with the most recent of good memories. Heh, the flower petals provided by Artemus still littered the floor.
Lucy sat there down one end of the hall. Skin paled, her brow wet with sweat - eyes half closed, she looked pretty ill - but her eyes had the sense of life and full of it. The cloak parted, hood down, she sat there in her white and black frilled corset, the black jeans and platform shoes. Yeah, she looked like some Suicide Girl Goth Chika, but, it did seem to suit her quite nicely. "How was the wedding?"
"Very intimate," Charlotte said cautiously; stepping further into the hall.
A smile passed her paled lips, "So I heard..." Head tilting up, the ponytail sliding from around her shoulder to behind her back, "I hope it was everything you ever wished for."
"It was."
Brown and red speckled irises widneing from their droopy gaze, she slid
herself up to her feet. She kicked idly at the ground, "How did it feel?"
Lucy was her daughter, perhaps even more so now that she and Brian were actually married. Stepping forward, Charlotte hugged her arms around herself. "It was exciting, intimate, peaceful, glorious....It felt wonderful." There was something that mom had to discuss with Daughter, but Charlotte didn't quite know how to go about it. It was all too obvious that Charlotte's health was poor. Skin nearly pale as a ghost, her frame thinning. It was a wonder Brian even found her beautiful.
Lucy's eyes raised to the ceiling then to the flower petals across the
ground, "I understand why you did it without me knowing." A smile to her, a soft one at that despite how ill she looked. A hand running across her own sweaty brow, "How long?"
"It wasn't planned. Brian suggested it last night after I-" she paused, looking to the teenaged girl curiously. "How long for what?"
She bent down and picked up a lone petal, she brushed it against her lips and then blew it out from her opened palm. "I believe you know what I mean." Standing up to her full height she then pushed herself to her tip toes, eyes moving to her.
"How long have I been sick or how long until I die? I'm not sure which question you might be asking."
A shake of her head, "... What do you think I am asking?"
"I just told you I'm not sure. I don't know what goes on in that mind of yours."
Okay now she glared, "Right of course! I am afterall the spawn of satan or something? I have the same basic mind as you! You know! I'd be more worried if you were dying than just BEING ill!"
"No, you do not have the same basic mind as I. I'm afraid I don't go around killing, controlling, and torturing others. And as for me dying, well just might be, my dear. If my treatments do not work, then I will fade."
Lucy for the moment stood there in silence... And then she walked towards Charlotte, pausing before her, looking a little up at her, eyes wavering between pain and sorrow. "Thanks. Thanks alot, Mother." Walking past her she then lowered her head a little, "Besides I shouldn't speaking to you. I have promised to leave you alone. I hope you get well, Mom, I really do... I don't want you to die, as much as people might
love to think otherwise." Eyes clenching tightly, fists too clenched.
"Well what am I supposed to say? I don't agree with your lifestyle. I think its a terrible waste of potential." Charlotte sighed and found a seat. Standing took too much effort. "You say you don't want to be like your mother...and yet you follow in her exact footsteps." She paused again. "Do you try to hurt me? What was with the whole thing
with Kat and your father?"
"THAT was because my minion thought i'd be amusing to play with Kat's emotions. She has the uncanny ability to make people... Lust for others... I had to remove it from Kat myself." Turning, hands on her hips, "And as in regards to my Mother I am doing it in a subtly different way. World domination? Here? Impossible. Pointless. My potential was to do the things others wanted me to do. The amount of times I have been told that i am nothing more than a vessel for Renna - well, I got my own destiny
Lucy Ravenlock: it's mine, and no one elses. I don't want to hurt you, I want you to get better. That is why I have agreed to avoid you."
