She'd just left the doctors office and was on her way back home when she thought she'd stop by. Stepping into the GH, Charlotte smiled to herself with the most recent of good memories. Heh, the flower petals provided by Artemus still littered the floor.

Lucy sat there down one end of the hall. Skin paled, her brow wet with sweat - eyes half closed, she looked pretty ill - but her eyes had the sense of life and full of it. The cloak parted, hood down, she sat there in her white and black frilled corset, the black jeans and platform shoes. Yeah, she looked like some Suicide Girl Goth Chika, but, it did seem to suit her quite nicely. "How was the wedding?"

"Very intimate," Charlotte said cautiously; stepping further into the hall.

A smile passed her paled lips, "So I heard..." Head tilting up, the ponytail sliding from around her shoulder to behind her back, "I hope it was everything you ever wished for."

"It was."

Brown and red speckled irises widneing from their droopy gaze, she slid
herself up to her feet. She kicked idly at the ground, "How did it feel?"

Lucy was her daughter, perhaps even more so now that she and Brian were actually married. Stepping forward, Charlotte hugged her arms around herself. "It was exciting, intimate, peaceful, glorious....It felt wonderful." There was something that mom had to discuss with Daughter, but Charlotte didn't quite know how to go about it. It was all too obvious that Charlotte's health was poor. Skin nearly pale as a ghost, her frame thinning. It was a wonder Brian even found her beautiful.

Lucy's eyes raised to the ceiling then to the flower petals across the
ground, "I understand why you did it without me knowing." A smile to her, a soft one at that despite how ill she looked. A hand running across her own sweaty brow, "How long?"

"It wasn't planned. Brian suggested it last night after I-" she paused, looking to the teenaged girl curiously. "How long for what?"

She bent down and picked up a lone petal, she brushed it against her lips and then blew it out from her opened palm. "I believe you know what I mean." Standing up to her full height she then pushed herself to her tip toes, eyes moving to her.

"How long have I been sick or how long until I die? I'm not sure which question you might be asking."

A shake of her head, "... What do you think I am asking?"

"I just told you I'm not sure. I don't know what goes on in that mind of yours."

Okay now she glared, "Right of course! I am afterall the spawn of satan or something? I have the same basic mind as you! You know! I'd be more worried if you were dying than just BEING ill!"

"No, you do not have the same basic mind as I. I'm afraid I don't go around killing, controlling, and torturing others. And as for me dying, well just might be, my dear. If my treatments do not work, then I will fade."

Lucy for the moment stood there in silence... And then she walked towards Charlotte, pausing before her, looking a little up at her, eyes wavering between pain and sorrow. "Thanks. Thanks alot, Mother." Walking past her she then lowered her head a little, "Besides I shouldn't speaking to you. I have promised to leave you alone. I hope you get well, Mom, I really do... I don't want you to die, as much as people might
love to think otherwise." Eyes clenching tightly, fists too clenched.

"Well what am I supposed to say? I don't agree with your lifestyle. I think its a terrible waste of potential." Charlotte sighed and found a seat. Standing took too much effort. "You say you don't want to be like your mother...and yet you follow in her exact footsteps." She paused again. "Do you try to hurt me? What was with the whole thing
with Kat and your father?"

"THAT was because my minion thought i'd be amusing to play with Kat's emotions. She has the uncanny ability to make people... Lust for others... I had to remove it from Kat myself." Turning, hands on her hips, "And as in regards to my Mother I am doing it in a subtly different way. World domination? Here? Impossible. Pointless. My potential was to do the things others wanted me to do. The amount of times I have been told that i am nothing more than a vessel for Renna - well, I got my own destiny
Lucy Ravenlock: it's mine, and no one elses. I don't want to hurt you, I want you to get better. That is why I have agreed to avoid you."

Charlotte stared at Lucy in disbelief. "You truly don't get it. Well, I do not wish for you to leave me completely; you are my child. I just don't want anyone else getting hurt."

"No one else, is getting hurt. Why do you think I have been avoiding
you? I am nothing more than extra baggage and stress. I believed it was for you interests to get better, with me out of the picture. It hurts. Alot... But knowing your, ill... Why do you think I'm here now? Instead of runing out of that door?" She pointed at the door.

Charlotte: "I want answers."

"Then ask, and I'll leave you." Not wanting to hear that she turned her
back away.

"Arumu....who are they? Rather, who were they before they died?"

Lucy raised an eyebrow, "... Why ask about her?"

"Because I'm trying to understand why you think you need monks and psychotic twins who have an uncanny fascination with my unhappiness."
Then she added, "An' how the hell did you end up with that body?!"

"I wanted a friend. I made one." Simply, "They were created to keep me
company, and safe." And then she looked down at her teenaged self, and blinked confusingly. "What's wrong with this body?"

"How did you get it? It's the same one you saw before. It is not a different one."

Charlotte could have hissed in annoyance. "What happened to you, then." She waved a hand in the air, explaining in an irritated but tired voice. "I'm just trying to understand what happened to my baby!"

Fingers lightly touching her corset, "If I had let Renna take me over I would have become exactly the way I was before. The one you hated the most. Older.. You get the idea. She had the curse, I understand you know what that is?"

Charlotte nodded miserably.

"I... Couldn't remember how to remake the curse, only Renna knew that. And she's dead. The only the way for me to become the same, to not age like she did, I had to take some of her flesh and place it inside of myself, so I may get infected too..."

"Why?!"

A shrug of her bare shoulders, she wiped her sweaty brow again. Sighing, feel her stomach and chest where the corset covered. "... You know, I have no idea. I suppose never ageing was a nice idea..."

"What is going on with my brother-in-law?"

"Alex?" Lucy smiled.

"Who else?"

"He's doing what he wants at this moment, well, kind of. He's currently doing a task for me. And, if you really want to know he's my second in command."
"I knew as much. But that wasn't the answer I was looking for. What happened to him? He's...not himself."

"Arumu has something to do with that. She is quite attracted to him, I on the other hand had brought out something that was locked up inside of that shell for far too long." A waving of her hand, "Alex is himself now, the way he should have been all along."

Another sigh, slumping further into the chair.

Lucy came to her and then smiled gently, "I assume thats a bad sound I just heard?"

"Its nothing," she breathed.

"Sure." A smile again, "You know I could always torture you to get the information..." Wicked grin, then a giggle hands infront of her, "I kid! I kid! Heh, come on... Your married to Father now! You have everything you wanted, right?"

In all seriousness, though it was in a teasing fashion. SHe had to get the
point across that she didn't agree with what Lucy was doing.:: "Oh sure. My daughter is a teenage rebel who controls her 'friends' and kills people. Why.....why do you have to do that? You realize you could come home if you just....stopped?"

"I ache everytime I hear people gossiping about you. I stand up for you. I make them stop...but its hard."

"People talk about me?" She blinked several times, "Well thats new, I mean come on! I am merely the child of 'Renna The Betrayer,' the nothing that did nothing? Remember?" A blink though, but she did smile and rest her hands on Charlotte's cheeks, "Look, Mom, I love you... Daddy is... Uh, okay maybe I love him too, but he's REALLY annoying sometimes..." A frown, she kissed Charlotte's forehead gently, "I won't
hurt anyone you know. I won't die for my actions, I won't disappear from your life...As long as you need me you just call, I'll be there..."

Taking hold of her wrist; staying her. "You're upset with your Dad?"

Eyes narrowed, "Yes. Yes I am."

"Why?"

"Why?" She looked to her hand upon her wrist, "Why? Isn't that a stupid question?"

"I suppose it is...but sometimes its nice to talk about what's bothering you."

"I'll tell you why..." Eyes closing, "All the time he kept telling me I was nothing but a vessel... Yes, fine, I destroyed part of the Abbey, yes FINE! I knew that was wrong, but I needed friends. Those Monks were the only things that wern't hurting me. But him?" She snorted, "What Father tells you to give up your soul for someone such as Renna."

Charlotte blinked a few times in confusement. "Wait...you mean that your dad told you to let Renna take control? Please tell me I misunderstood you."

"Maybe he was angry for what I did, but he told me that to my face.
Why do you think I won't return home?" A laugh, "Yeah, right, figured he wouldn't tell you all that shit..." She blinked, she just swore in front of her Mother and she directed her gaze from her, "Look, Mom, just ignore what he said to me, he was angry. We both were...or am. Or whatever."

"Tell me something else. Do you still kill people?" Her voice was barely above a whisper as she asked this.

She didn't know what to say... A whisper... Perhaps something more silent. "Yes..."

That had been her last attempt. Brian would never allow the child back in the home if she continues walking this path. Her eyes closed briefly, head now bowed.

Hand against her shoulder, "Mother? You okay?" Concern on her face.

"I don't wish for us to turn out how I did with my own parents. My father disowned me and I was forced to contact my mother in private for years."

Eyes blinking she shook her head, "Don't be silly, look, Daddy won't
cast me out... Not fully... I'm sure... Would you?"

"No, of course he wouldn't....but I cannot stand for you both to be like this. I want you home. I want a normal life..." Then she added more softly, "while I still have one to live."

Hands planted on both her shoulders her eyes wide almost crazed,
"You are not going to DIE!!! I will not let you! You are going to be fine..." Eyes watering, "Okay!?"

Charlotte: Charlotte frowned. "Sweetheart, there's nothing you can do for me. Just...please don't go too far. The doctors believe that the treatments will cure me. They said this illness is in an early stage."
"... You know I can do far more

Lucy Ravenlock: "... You know I can do far more things than they could ever do... I will not, I shall not let you die... You can't leave me alone, you can't leave Father alone... I swear if those treatments don't work... I'll make them pay." A grin, "So you make sure
you get better."

She managed a smile. "I will, darlin'."

"Good..." She drew up the hood over her head, "I have to go. Okay? I have things to do, ya know, bein' big badie Queen and all."

Not exactly up for jokes, Charlotte merely nodded to Lucy.

Lucy smiled and turned, she hopped atop of Charlotte's shadow and
then sunk into it. "Take care, Mother."
