The day had come... The final day. Renna had spent her time with the people of whom she loved most, and that was no one who would have ever return it... For now she stood at the front entrance of her Fort... And what a site to behold for all who was coming near.
There she was, clad in her full plate armour, brown monksh robe used as an undergarment for it to add to the tightness, in her right hand she held the Morning Star, it's sheen of newly polished grey gleaming in the dawn's daylight, her left hand holding her wooden buckler tightly at her side...
Her hood was down and her brown orbs stared out towards the clearing which was now mightily extended. The army had destroyed further the forest around her fort, making way for the might that now surrounded it along with her... To her right, the flanks of at least one thousand... and to her left... Another thousand... Their stolen armour from Cadentia's barren stores were more than enough to arm her troops with good to poorly graded weapons, spears to swords, axes to maces... It was wide, and diverse, but some had no weapons and armour at all, nothing but the black robes hiding their skeletal form...

Taking a deep breath she waited though, she would keep her promise.

Today was the day.

A loud sigh passed her lips, and she quickly came to step forward, from out of the darkness of the entrance came the wheelchair of Lucy, her blood red eyes stareing out solidly to the ground before her.

Why? Why did Renna re-create Lucy into a new body? That was simple, she wanted the child to have a normal life, the life Renna had restricted... She had purposely seperated that innocence and humanity into this young girl's body in the hope that if things go wrong and Renna dies... The girl would survive and so will her legacy live on with it's own purpose... A new purpose undefined by Renna.

Renna's last stand to what humanity she still possessed.

She saw there was no way out of this. This was her destiny. And the man to deliver it, was Brian Ravenlock, The Killer... The man of whom she loved like no other being alive right now.
The love for Jodiah and Toby was different, she was attracted to them, more so Jodiah than Toby. They offered her something no one ever did, and that was love, affection - however small, comfort - however harsh and release - however cruel... They loved her in their own little way, and she was throwing that to the wind for what? Lucy's happiness...

The time had stopped for her... It was time for the purpose to end, and to start anew.

Renna raised her hands into the air, she closed her eyes as she made her way further from the full lined ranks of her army. Something she achieved despite opposition... Her own kingdom... She did everything she needed to prove she was a threat to everyone, this is how this day had come around apparently, and deep inside of herself she knew that was the best closeure to have on a day like this.

She lived her life, to what she wanted.

Lucy on the other hand sat there... Her head tilting as her 'Mother' walked out into the clearing away from her.

Arms still raised, Renna took a deep breath and then tilted her head back. She announced herself with a loud, demonic screech which soon the ranks of her army raised their swords, sheilds, fists, shadow arms into the air and cried with her.

Today was the day the army matched on. Or fell to their knees with their Queen.

Renna, the Betray, Queen of Shadows... A menace to all things peaceful.

It was a night like any other for Brian, in fact the whole day was one of the most normal he has had in a good while. Brian was more than happy to be done with the events of the past week. These dealings with Renna's forces were taken their toll on Brian and his family, and in truth he was looking foward to the next morning. Brian spent the early part of the evening with Charlotte and Dwyn, that was until Charlotte's abrupt departure.

After Charlotte left, Brian decided it was time to head home and make ready for the morning. As he was leaving the Inn, Brian caught a glance from Renna and beckoned her to walk with him a bit. Together walked towards the Great Hall and spoke at length, it was a strange sight indeed, to see the two of them walking together. Especially given the events of the last few months between the two, and those around them. They looked more the part of old friends, than that of enemies that would be facing off against each other in less than a day. Then again Rhy'din was a place where the strange and norm were one in the same.

Arriving at the hall, Brian glanced to Renna once more. She was wearing a pink dress of all things and in truth looked beautiful, even with the pentram etched into her forehead. Yet another strange sight for the evening, but for some reason it suited her far more than Brian could relate. Brian once said to Renna that she looked the part of both Heaven and Hell, and tonight was no exception. The way she looked and acted at that moment made it hard for Brian to see her as the person who commited so many violent acts against her own family and more. He called her a demon, and she called him a killer, and at one time both were very true. But at that moment, it was just Lucy Ren and Brian Ravenlock.

Brian faced Renna and tried to smile faintly and failed utterly, he noted her tear stained cheeks and her defesive posture. She was indeed upset, and in truth so was Brian. Given all the good and bad they had been through, Brian did not relish the thought of what was to come in the morning, and Brian sensed Renna had some similar thoughts. But she had stated, this was her course and this is what she wanted.

"I won't lie Ren, I do not look foward to tommorow.. I wish there were another way."

"There is no other way, this is what I planned and this is what I wanted."

They talked for a bit more, just as it were a normal night like any other. They talked of the past, of regrets, hurts and happiness. They talked of nonsense and whatever else came to mind. Yet underneath it all, they knew that this was the last time they would ever talk like this again. When it came time for them to part Brian turned and said one last thing to Renna.

"If you remember one thing in this life, know that you were loved. No matter what you said or did, no matter how good or bad. You were and are still loved by people. Nothing will ever change that. Ever."

"Goodbye Brian.." was the only response she gave, as she looked towards the ground for a brief moment.

Brian nodded and smiled faintly, as he turned and walked away. There were no embraces, no emotional pleas of any kind. Just a nod, knowing that the following morning, all bets would be off.

"One thing, Brian. What will you do with Lucy, when I die?"

"Who said you were going to die, Renna? Maybe it may be my turn to die."

Brian left the Hall and headed to the Inn. He had his gear stowed away, and with any luck he could beat the others to the field and hopefully bring this to a swift end. But then again this was Rhy'din, whatever truly came to an end in this wonderful realm.

The roars continued and Renna's chin fell down to her chest, her hair flopping down over her face. Eyes wide she panted from the lack of breath that just escaped her body with that victorious and demonic roar, had she declared victory so easily? Would Brian live up to his name? Would he bring the gauntlet? It did not matter, for she knew that the dark power was more within him than anything - and that what Lucy was for...

Lucy, the young child, sat there in her wheelchair almost like some zombie, the blood red eyes resembling that of what Emma had possessed before she died. It was a simple fact that when Renna created one of her minions, their eyes were always a hellish red and burning with the same glares that she herself possessed.
The wheelchair slowly inched forward towards Renna, closing the gap, and coming to a complete stop behind her...
"... Mom?" The child urged, her head tilting up, sending the spray of black hair from her forehead, revealing the glowing pentagram which burned so brightly upon her forehead. "Why ain't we going?"
But no reply came, instead, Renna kept her head low... Waiting... A memory flooded her...

Jodiah...

Renna went to the Inn with one thing mind... To see someone. And there he was, like she had hoped... Renna made her way to him, boots thumping upon the ground under the weight which bore down on her
in the form of weapons and armour...

"What is it, Renna?" He had said, almost softly? Had Renna heard correctly?

I'm going... Jodiah... Please, don't forget me... Please! Those were her thoughts now, in the present time, as her memory still urged on...

"You're... leaving?"

"Where are you off to, Betrayer? Going to take a holiday like I suggested you do?"

She laughed mentally... He could never change... And Renna still loved him despite that he was a heartless bastard... But she knew he was different... Perhaps old age was settling in finally.

"Tell me, now, what is happening that has made you so
upset, hm?"

I'm going to die. I'm going to die and I'll never see you again.

"Yes? Get on with it, why is this going to be the last time you see me?" So blunt from him...

Oh... Jodiah... You really havn't changed... Deep down your that sad heartless fuck she always knew! But she replied with a reply, a soft, gentle one... Straight to the point.

And... Charlotte and Jayde appeared. This, was going drastically how she did not want it. She wanted time alone with her one of her true loves and she would damn well let hell burn out before anything broke her and Jodiah's "mood."

It did not.

In the end, though, Jodiah Ayreg nodded stiffly to her. "Go then,
Renna of the Dark. Find your destiny."

And... how did she start it? By killing Jayde, Charlotte and Renna's apparent best friend.

Renna smirked as her brown eyes narrowed to Charlotte, she smirked over Jayde's shoulder, her fingertips gripping tighter into Jayde's skin, her tongue moving out against her neck, "No, " to Jayde, she then began to laugh, "You betrayed me, to her. You... Your no friend of mine, not anymore." And that was that, a shadow arm pushed right through Jayde's stomach, it extended out from Jayde's stomach at least a full meter close to Charlotte's face, and in the shadow arm's grasp held out Jayde's innards. "Look at her Charlotte? Isn't her insides so beautiful?"

Shame. Charlotte still threatened her, if she didn't, maybe Jayde would have been one whole piece.

A laughter as she moved back, the shadow arms which grippe her wrists and ankles yanked inhumanly, the skin stretched and with one almight crack of the joints snapping - much like Jodiah eating his chicking legs,
Lucy_Ren: her limbs was pulled apart, dropping what was left of her with her falling torso. She, gave a regard to Charlotte, winking... And suddenly left to go off and begin her war.

She tore away from the memories now... She looked up to the sky... It looked ready to rain... Perfect for a battle scene, Renna thought, still waiting in the clearing.

Appearing through the mists, Brian came alone. Blue eyes glanced about the clearing from
underneath the hood of his cloak, lifting the hood slowly, he tilted his head back and soaked in the rain.::
Renna stood still with her head downcasted, the blood of Jayde was still fresh upon her plate armour,
but, the blood was quickly being washed away into the mud and dirt below. It maybe hard for a good fight in the
slippery mud, but it would be a great fight indeed. A terrible sight, her army behind her, with Lucy, the child in
the wheelchair, stareing out to Brian almost solidly. "Welcome... To the Den of Shadows once more, Brian.
And for the last time..."
Ignoring those gathered, Brian continued to soak in the rain. Slowly his arms stretched
out, and his hands extended from the cloak, as he basked in nature's gift for a brife moment longer. His right arm
wrapped in black bandages, underneath the cloak Brian wore light plate armour with a chain mail shirt underneath,
his pants were hard leather with various plates that was stitched into the, at his thigh and calfs, his head was
visible save the lower half of his face with was covered by a black half mask, Brian looked towards
Renna and those gathered and said not a word, undoing the cloak, he tossed it aside, and lifted the chain mail
hood that was wrapped about his neck, one broad sword strapped to his back, it was Tyrsis, the same sword used
to kill his own half sister years ago. Brian took a moment longer to look at them all, and began the slow walk
towards her forces.
Renna tilted her head up, letting the black hair soak further, she close her eyes as the droplets fell down
her face, openning her eyes for a moment to stare to the clouds overhead. Then, dopping her gaze to him, the
brown orbs stared out coldly. There was no more talk needed to be said, she gripped the Morning Star tightly in
her grasp, the buckler brought up to her chest height, as she began to move towards him. Her boots thumping
against the ground, sending a squirt of mud to sqeulch out from under her footing. Her pentagram glowing
brightly as her pupils beginning to swirl the mana which resides deep within her soul.
Brian closed the gap slowlty, his eyes a cold gray to match the weather. His left hand lifted and
after a quick gesture he began to cast "Utsusemi; Ichi" for his three shadows, but for some reason he stopped and
let his hand dropped back down, his right hand flexed and gripped, Brian continud to walk, but didnt draw Tyrsis, he
just stared at Renna coldly.
The coldness of his gaze was met by her own, they were so alike it was almost scary right now, but as
she drew closer, her boots seemed to quicken a little, her sheild being pressed tighter against the left side of her
chest, her Moring Star raised a little to let the ball not skip against the mud... And that was it. She broke into a run,
her hair moving to whip behind as she broke into a full run, her lips parting bareing her clenched teeth, a wild feral
look upon her eyes as she ran now.
Under the mask Brian smiled faintly, still he didnt break into a run, he decided if she wanted it
this bad she could work for it, his arms reaching back behind his body as he then drew two Katanas, a quick
twirl of the swords and they were held low, as he still closed the gap at a casual place. Brian noted the look on
her face and let out a soft chuckle, she was really wanting it, it was best when they were into it. Brian fought so hard
not to break into a run as well, he decided he would do this at his own pace, in his mind this
would soon be an operating table and he would be the
surgeon.
Renna skidded to a stop, she slid a little in the mud litterly meters from him, and out came two of her
vectors. Their hands extending out towards him aiming for his shoulder to grip him into place. It was a suprise attack,
she'd never run into a battle head long knowing full well in close combat she was at a good disadvantage.
Brian waited for them, he had a clear vision of them as they came, the rain made them clear as
day, and in an instant Brian was no longer there. Using the same trick he used on Charlotte at the villa as he
appeared directly behind Renna, leaving to her he whispered something to her as he vanished once more,
and was suddenly a few feet behind her in a kneeling position staying perfectly still and waiting.::
A pause as she then turned - her Morning Star was swung to swipe at the air, her vectors disappearing
from her back for only more to appear from out of her stomach moving out to the crouching Brian. That trick he
did was nothing to a suprsie to Renna, she knew the man hid alot of things from everyone, even a b***h like Renna.
Something wasn't right through... She could sense it. "I will grant your wish!" The pentagram glowing brightly she
droppedthe Star and Buckler upon the ground. The vectors now all appears from her back, all thirty one of
them, wiggling and writhing before her.
"I am a most fortunate soul, Lucy Ren. By all means, let us dance, you and I." ::As Brian stood once more and closed the gap between he and Renna, still he raised no sword, and gave no show of fear in regards to the vectors. A grin could be seen under the mask, as he finally broke into a run head on towards Renna, "Promise ME!"
There was no need for an answer, she would full well give it her all. Her life was at stake now. She
charged forward the vectors moving to the ground pushing her mid-flight into the air - a single vector moving out to
take a dig to his cheek, while she still fell towards him, intent on runing right into him at such a quick pace -
wanting to knock him right down to his back.
And knocked back he was, first the blow to his cheek connected, as Renna followed and sent Brian square on his back as he skidded across what looked like fifty feet or grass, staying down for a moment, Brian then rose to his feet. His eyes still grayed over, as he chuckled softly, anbd reached out with his hands. His Katanas returned, as he skipped a moment and then broke into another head long dash straight at Renna. "More.."
A smile now as she hit, she fell to her feet in a crouch - heck even her booted feet skidded slightly at the
slippery mud. Eyes narrowing, she smirked darkly now. Letting him come to her. "Come on, Brian! Don't let me
down now!"
A quick moment was used as he slapped both sword together, and they locked together as
one, his right bandaged arm began to pulse, of all things a faint heart beat could be heard within the cascade rain,
Brian sped up, and closed the gap still he did not draw his sword, instead he held the sword low and behind him, and
set his right hand in front of him and lowered his body as he ran.
Interesting, Renna simply mused as she watched. Moving now to bend her knees, readying herself
to take the charge and whatever he had instored for her. Vector shadow arms moved infront of her like a wall of
darkness.
With a cry of pure rage, Brian crashed into the wall, his bandaged arm ripping through the wall,
and prying it apart, as bandages slipped the glint of metal broke though , followed by the glistening of a small
emerald stone, with a grunt Brian pried the wall, and sent a swift kick to Renna's face::
"What the hell?" Renna looked to the metal and then him pushing away her vectors?! "You bas-" She
took the kick square on the face and it sent her back to the ground, the wind left as her back crashed first onto the
ground, her vectors then pushed her like some spider back to her feet, and sending a single vector to grip out at the
leg that kicked her.
Brian said nothing, as the bandages were ripped away they reveals not just a gauntlet, but his
entire right arm was covered in metal, from his shoulder all the way down to his fingers, it was a dull gray, and had
various runes etched along it's length, it briefly pulsated, and reached out and snatched the approaching vector, and
began crushing it, with his left arm Brian drew Tyrsis and slashed at the caught vector, still he said nothing. The
only sound escaping from him was a heart beat and that seemed to be coming from the
glove.
Renna quickly retreated back to stare at the gunatlet... And then back to his eyes, a wide grin passing
her lips. "So... Your using it arn't you?" She seemed almost excited, eyes widening almost insanely as she
began to laugh psychotically, "Yes! Come on Brian! Attack me! Do it!" She felt her vector being utterelly
destroyed, though she felt no pain. Now, launching herself she rolled onto the mud - right next to her buckler, picking
it up and now using that upon her right hand.
"............" Brian let the crushed Vector go and ran towards Renna once more, reaching back he
sent his gloved fist directly towards her, his eyes starring at her, as he had no regards to his own safety::
Renna noticed that once more his regards to his own saftey was gone. He was indeed using the
gauntlets power again, it was obvious now Renna got what she wanted. Darkin was playing. And that is all she
needed to know. She took the punch through square on her forehead, and for once, Renna cried out in pain, the
scar pentagram ruptured and blood flowed from the open wound, but the pentagram remained as the skull of her
forehead was revealed. It was carved into the bone. Twirling she decided to use the whole mass of vectors to swing liek a
giant club to the side of the Darkin-possessed Brian.
Grunting was the only sound that escaped Brian lips, as his fist opened and his fingers dug into Renna's skull, the gauntlet squeezing and trying to wrench the Pentram from her head, more grunts followed as Brian was pummled, his body faltered for a brief moment but his grip tightened, as the gauntlet pulsed with such energy even the rain over head was no longer hitting them, Brian continued even though sounds of cracked bones from his own body could be heard::
"No!" Renna knew that Brian was going for her only weakness, and she damend well would not allow him
too! Being so close to him... She had her chance to settle the score with the Darkin... She grinned, as a hand moved
up to grip the gauntleted hand. "Your... Finished." The shadow arms moved around them both, encasing them
both in a bubble of darkness, and suddenly it restricted them both. Lucy, the girl in the wheelchair now moved
forward, her blood red eyes stareing out to them... It was time to do what she was created to do. The young
child shuddered somewhat, and out came something from her. The rain did not even make her wet! The child nodded
as something odd began to happen. The light began to bend from her, and the darkness grew ou from her in a
slithering puddle of darkness towards the trapped two.
Brian's grip tightened, if he had any concerns he hadnt shown them by any means. His sword arm came foward, as he gutted Renna with Tyrsis, running the blade as far as it could go.
Of course Renna took the blow, it went right through her, and all she could do was hang on. A grin passed her lips as she moved her head back, to headbutt him squre on the nose.
Brian grunted, as he was hit. Blood flowed from his nosed and mouse. His eyes returned to blue for a moment and softened as they watched her, then just as quickly they went back to grey, as he head butted her in return.
Her nose shattered too, blood fell from the slightly dislodged nose as the shadow vectors held her there, a swift knee up into the man's gut as she now struggled to grip his face, keeping his gaze on her, as Lucy's powers kept on growing... And so much so... That it could be felt. A sharp wind, a sense of coldness in the air... And death... A tremendous power deep within the child... And still the puddle of Darkness consumed the ground, now, circling around the two fighting enemies.
Lucy_Ren: Renna saw his eyes shift between the two colours. She smirked a little, whispering gently, "Your
going to thank me in the morning, Killer."
Brian was fighting a second fight deep inside, he finally realized what was going on. Darkin had made his move, and Brian fell into it again, he saw her face briefly and tried to speak but no words came. He felt the knee to his gut and cough blood once more, upon hearing her words he snapped back to the present. "Renna, why?"
"Why what?!" She screamed, giving him another kick into the guts, "This is how it's supposed to end..." The dark grew around them still as she smiled, "Think of this as a wedding present, Brian..." And that was it, everything was prepaired, Lucy's power still had risen and the child now amazingly stood to her feet, her hands extending out to the two as the circle of darkness grew tendrils to dig into Brian's back below the surface of his skin, right down the line of his spine. And then, all hell broke loose. The rain stopped. For it was being repelled by the child's power, the army quickly began to shuffle away rom her, almost in fear. Heck, some of the minions of Black Monks even turned to dust! being absorbed into Lucy herself.
"What the hell!? NO! ^&%$ you Renna NO!" Brian screamed in pain, the metal over his arm began to rust slowly, bit by bit as he struggled and was in fear of what he felt. "NO! I'll change, you dont understand!" A scream of sheer pain erupted from
Brian, as his metallic arm began to literally fall apart slowly.
"Darkin needs to die, Brian!" The tendrils now moved to dig deeper, still sucking out the power that was Darkin deep into Lucy's small frame... And she herself was now being lifted from the ground by her own powers. Renna held on though, as she struggled to keep him still. "Tell me why i should stop!? Tell me!"
"The girl!? Dont leave that in her! #$%^&* it he will come back!" ::Yet another scream of pain from Brian, he felt it deep inside. His extra strength Darkin had given him, the bravado, the ego he felt it slipping away slowly, "This isnt your deal! #$%^&* you this is MINE!" With a resurged effort, Brians arm flared and tried to fight the onslaught by the child. And in moments even that attempt was proven futile. Another scream came from Brian as his body wracked in pain.
Renna kept ahold, but she left go, stumbling back. The child was now absorbing the power which Darkin gave Brian, before taking Darkin himself... The kid shuddered and jerked in the air, her head flailing side to side, a scream erupting from her small frame... And the tendrils disappeared! The job was only half done, at least now Darkin was somewaht damaged... The child fell to her knees and panted in the mud, now again paralysed from the waste down.
Brian crashed to the ground landing in a heap, his body sore all over, he felt bones that were broken and many soon to be. His mind raced about what happened, looking to his right arm he cried out when he was it was normal once more. Slowly, Brian rose to his feet to an unsteady stance and waited.
Renna stood there holding her face now, it was quite painful. A simple glance to him as he stood... noticing now that his arm was normal... She chuckled now, before then glancing over to the unmoving form of Lucy which now laid unmoving upon the ground... "Lucy...?" Renna whispered almos in fear, but, she was alive. Just passed out... Her body trying to ingest Darkin's
power into her small frame. She really did create a monster in returning Lucy back to a new body. A glance to Brian as she
panted, "... Now... Let's continue this..."
Brian never gave her the chance as he closed the gap, and came at Renna with Tyrsis raised above his head. What followed was a two handed downward slash, quickly followed by a two handed cross slash, the desperation on Brian's evident, as he knew he had to end this quickly to hopefully take out the knocked out child as well.
Renna quickly looked up to the sword coming straight for her head. "Oh shi-" She pounced backwards,
but due to her injuries fell back to lay in the mud, scrambling up to her feet... The mud making her whole
form blackened, and almost somewhat sexy. But something did catch her attention... A sharp pain... A
hand moved to her forehead. The pentagram, had a newly formed line moving right down the middle of it. A light
smile, "... Well done, Brian..." Her eyes closed and her hands fell to her sides.
Stumbling backwards a moment, Brian shook his head to regain some sense of where he was. He saw Renna stand, and then noted the line across her head, and her words. His sword lowering, Brian slowly made his way towards Renna through the mud, a million things going on through his mind, but in an instant it was all set aside as he reached back with his sword arm and swung his blade towards her neck in that once instant, Brian saw things
as she did, it was something that he more than likely would never forget for the rest of his life.
Charotte and Alex arrive on horseback... to that hill she was on earlier.
The sword sunk deep into her neck... And it paused at the neck. It made no attempt to lob her head off. It just stopped dead. She felt her powers wavering, and all she could do was remove herself the sword, moving her hand along the blade's length, and placing the tip against her forehead... "Here, Brian."
A swift kick to Renna's gut to send her to her knees, as Brian drew back the blade and ran it through her pentram until the hilt touched her forehead
"What the bloody hell...?" Charlotte dismounted quickly and looked up to Alex frowning. She nodded in the
fight's direction.
A light snort, deciding to stay mounted as Alex watched Charlotte and where she was pointing.
Words weren't necessary.
No words camer from Brian as he did as she directed, instead a few tears ran down his cheeks,
but with the rain it was hard to notice, for good measure, Brian twisted Tyrsis' blade and then with his boot kicked
Renna's body back and withdrew the blade. (s) "Bake ne."
Renna's body froze up as her smile never left her lips. "Brian... The Slayer." And then the sword was
pushed into her skull, twisted, and then she fell back onto the mud. Unmoving.
Lucy on the other hand began to groan, moving from the ground as the army began to scream out
in pain, each every one of their foreheads began to flow... Their own pentgram's splitting... And then, BANG. The
whole army litterlly exploded into dust and bones.
"Gomen Nasai, anesan..." ::With that Brian fell to his knees and just watched Renna's body,
ignoring everything else around them.
Renna's eyes stared up at into the clouds, her eyes filling with the water of the rain that onto them. It
looked like she was crying, but it were simply an illusion of the raindrops. Her right leg jerking, almost as if her body
still would not give up, but her mind long dead. Gone.

Brian was still in a daze as he pushed the wheelchair bound girl down toe road. Dwyn by his side, they talk occasionally but truth be told Brian missed a good deal of it. Brian was just thankful the Dark Knight showed up and offered the support he had, it was more than others close to him had done during this course. Brian did try to listen, for some reason he found himself more receptive to not only Dwyn, but their surroundings as well. It was strange feeling not to have that extra bit of whatever Darkin had left behind any longer. Brian knew changes were in the wind, but had no real idea of what was to come. The first thing that needed to be done was to get the girl Lucy to a safe place, until he could talk to Charlotte. Brian was bothered by the fact that Lucy also carried the Pentram and ponder what it really had meant, his thoughts also carried back to Renna's last act, between the three of them.

Brian was upset at that, not only had she gone and played out her own death but she took it upon herself to rip whatever renmants of the Gauntlet remained within Brian. The pain throughout his body made that clear, something was ripped clean out and he had a firm feeling it was not coming back. As hard as he tried, Brian dug deeply inside the tried to call for it, tried to feel for it. In the end, nothing. Over 10 years with it, and now it is gone. Brian's thought carried to Charlotte, and the look she had given him when they arrived. She was not happy by any means and Brian felt it was only going to get harder as time went by. Brian actually for a moment pondered if they were strong enough to weather the coming storm within this aftermath.

Looking down to the child, Brian could only why Renna had done what she did.

"What will you do with the girl, when I die?"

Brian recalled those words and his response, but now he wondered if it were his own response or that of Darkin's influence. Brian shook his head a moment and let that train of thought come to an end. He now had a larger problem, the girl and what to do with her. Dwyn has spoke wisely when he stated when one door opens another will open itself, but to what effect Brian wondered. Brian pondered some options, possibly a school, maybe a church. But for now that was on the back burner, as they arrived Villa. Brian looked down to Lucy who had cried herself to sleep.
As they entered the house, Brian parked the chair and picked the girl up, and then moved her to the couch. Covering her with a Blanket, Brian left her with Jes, as he and Dwyn left again.

Parting ways with Dwyn, Brian grabbed a horse and headed back to the field for Renna. Upon his arrival he spied two individuals tending to her body. Brian slid off his horse and approached them cautiously, his hand sliding to the hilt of Tyrsis as he did so. Upon closer inspection they were elderly mean and appeared to be dressed in the garb of priests. They said nothing as they continued to clean Renna up, after a bit of time they stopped. One stood and approached Brian with Renna's morning star in hand, the elderly man handed Brian the weapon and bowed, then he returned to the second man, who also bowed to Brian. Then they began to walk away silently, Brian turned to look at Renna once more. Her wounds her cleaned and healed, her pentram no longer on her forehead. Brian turned once more to look for the elderly men, and they were nowhere to be seen. Shaking his head, Brian set out to wrap Renna and take her back home.

After a good deal of time Brian arrived to the Shadow's Den, and made his way to the spot where Renna specified she wanted to be laid to rest. Brian found the graves of Emma and Kouta, both were gated off and the surrounding area was filled with flowers, and greenery. It was unlike anything within the area of the fortress Brian had ever seen, it must have been recently done, because Brian didn't recognize it from his last few visits. Brian made his way closer with Renna in his arms, and found a third grave had already been dug. Setting Renna gently to the ground, Brian dropped into the grave and reached for her body, setting down gently. Brian then climbed out and began to cover Renna, and after a good deal of time was finally finished. Brian went back to his horse and grabbed two pieces of wood from his saddle back and a carving knife, and began to work on each piece. In time they were fashioned into a Cross, and it was place at the head of the grave. Etched into the cross was a passage written in Bastokan:

"Renna the Dark, Renna the Betrayer, Renna the Queen of shadows, who will always be known as Lucy Ren. May she find the peace in the afterlife that Carnage and Chaos could not offer in the flesh."

Brian wiped his brow a moment, and just stared at the three graves. In truth he was digusted with himself in so many ways. Especially in the part he had played throughout this twisted dance. It was over now, but the scars would remain for many people who were affected by the events that surrounded Renna, and Brian. But as Brian told Renna one day, "So long as I am alive there remains a chance I can be forgiven." Brian bowed before the graves, and gathered his shovel, and lead his horse away.

Brian left the fort and headed back home. There was a great deal of explaining that was needed and he also had to see a healer. Brian did not relish the thought of confronting an angry Charlotte but it had to be done. Brian hoped he could beat her back home and be waiting before she had a chance to see Lucy. Brian gave thought what to do with the fortress, with no one to occupy it it would soon fall to ruin. Then again it wasn't much to begin with, but Brian had a few ideas. Maybe Jes could do something with it, or maybe it could be used for a more noble purpose, such as a school. Anything was possible.
