The Grand Opening of the Caelum Training Center at New Haven.
After Caelum Manor and the associated property was sold, the Caelum Training Center was left in a state of flux. But with Claire's move back to the city, so too came the gym. On a plot of land at the extreme north end of New Haven (off the edge of the city map even), sits the new Caelum Training Center at New Haven. Featuring the same state of the art equipment for both athletic and dueling training, the center is now open to the public for the very first time as of November 11th, 2017.
Serving as the home base to the Team Dirty dueling team and its various members, members have access to equipment ranging from strength/endurance training, cardio, boxing and armed fighting, and everything in between. Sparring partners are on hand and available for freestyle sessions or personalized training programs. A number of regular boxing classes are available and are designed for all levels. Members train with jump ropes, heavy bags, speed bags and focus pads. Workouts include reflex drills, hand-eye coordination exercises, footwork drills and shadow boxing.
Similarly laid out to the training center pre-move, the first level features warded rings for dueling practice and competition along with a boxing ring and an enclosed octagon for cage matches. At the far end of the building, a climbing wall stretches across the expanse of first and second floors. The second floor is home to the strength, conditioning, and agility facilities along with an observation area of the first floor. New additions to the center include an Olympic sized lap pool and a children's gym area as well as a snack bar area featuring fruit, yogurt, cereals, bagels and muffins plus a selection of coffees and teas for breakfast and a fully stocked salad bar with over 25 toppings, a sushi bar, and a wide variety of gourmet pre-made and made-to-order sandwiches, shakes, smoothies, and health drinks for lunch hours.
