After making her final entry in her old journal, she smiles softly as she closes the book to wrap the ribbon around the cover and making a small bow to keep it closed. She places the journal on the top shelf of the wardrobe. Not wanting to let go the past but not wanting to keep it too near.

She opened her satchel to take out a new journal that she bought at the general store while she was out on a walk. Taking the small book, she walks over to the small desk. She places the book on top of the desk as she as she pulls out the chair to take a seat. With her right hand, she takes up the quill and dipped it in the inkwell while she opened the crisp pages with her left. Softly, she places the tip to the clean page.....for a new beginning...

Oh, I am so happy to be writing this new journal as I begin a new life in Rhydin. So much has happened to me since I returned a few weeks ago. It feels so good to be in a place where I feel like I belong. All thanks to some wonderful new people I?ve met during my stay at the Inn as well as those I?ve met while visiting the dueling rings. Although it has only been a short time, there are a few that I consider very close friends and I think they feel the same about me. Now, I can face my nights that are filled with haunting memories of my past alone because I know my waking hours will be filled with joys and happiness of being with my new friends.

Since I had spent so much time on Twilight Isle before I left, I decided to first visit Isle to watch the magic duels. However, I didn?t just watch. I jumped right in with a duel with Artemus Kurgen which was called by Brig. I was very pleased with myself as I ended up winning my first duel after that many years.

After that night, I went back to stay with my sister for a bit. She was very happy at the farmhouse and decided to stay a little longer. I think there may be a handsome nobleman that stops by once in a while. After my short visit with Tegwyn, I returned to my room at the Inn. It is such a cozy little room. It is funny how that I enjoy this small room as much as the large chamber I had at the castle. Maybe, it?s just because I?m free.

Anyhow, there is so much to say!! ! After coming back from the farm, I went to the arena for to try to catch a duel. Sunday is Fight Night which is held in the arena. The callers call fists, magic and swords. Once again, I dueled. This time it was Art as well as Xerzes. I did lose both bouts but I had so much fun that I knew I would return. I spent the rest of the evening watching the duels and speaking with Art. I also had the unfortunate event of meeting Marzan DeBurgo. I hope to never mention his name again.

The following evening, I went to the Isle. Oh, this is a night that I will remember! This time, a very beautiful and regal woman was calling the duels. Her name is Azjah von Drachen Walde who happens to be married to Klinton Caer. The evening started with Azjah calling my duel with Farek. The man sure doesn?t say much while he puffs away on that cigar of his making him such a joy to be around. I have to chuckle as I write that because I know you can?t hear the sarcasm in my written words. But trust me, it?s there. Although, I did find it very satisfying to win that duel, but that is not why it was a night to remember.

It was a night to remember because I had a duel with Tasslehofl Momus. As I began my duel, I faintly remembered his face from my time in Rhydin before I left to visit my home. He was so fun to duel with and was very receptive to my flirting seeing how he is a big flirt as well who often send kisses to tackle ladies who visit the rings. I did my best to distract him?hoping for a win. He still won our duel but I still think I won in other ways. Little did I know that our meeting that night was just the beginning of so many good things. And with that happy thought, I will put down my quill to finish another time for it is time for the duels and I do hope to see Tass!!

Let?s see, where did I leave off? I had just stopped writing so I could go to the duels right after penning my first encounter with Tass. Oh, I am so glad that I did go to the duels for I did get to spend some time in the company of Tass. Over the past few weeks, I have often visited the rings just in hopes that I would get to see him. I think you will see why as I continue to tell all that has happened over the last few weeks.

I had forgotten to tell say that before I had dueled Tass, Marzan DeBurgo actually acted like I was his. He even had the nerve to tell Tass to come and get me like I was some object to be owned and traded. Anyhow, Tass ended up beating Marz in a duel but not to take ?possession? of me. Little did I know, at that time, he would end up possessing my heart, even if he didn?t know it.

The following night was the Tower of Air challenge. Brig, who is the Keeper of Air and very handsome I must say, was challenged by Azjah. I had talked to Azjah about his tower and how much she admired it. Oh, I was so looking forward to the night and it truly lived up to my expectations. I think everyone was looking forward to that night for the Isle was full with those who wanted to see who would win the challenge including Tass.

As the evening progressed before the challenge, one could say there was some sexual tension in the air. Everyone kept asking about Brig?s tower, whether is was tall and slim or short and thick. Then Klinton blurted out something about he thought we were all talking about a pecker which I can see how he might have thought that! Anyhow, Brig successfully defended his key. So he invited Azjah, Klinton and I to visit his tower for a drink in celebration of his win and admire the magnificent view. I have to say?we did have a lot of fun in that tower and the view was truly beautiful.

Over the next few days, I continued to visit the rings to duels. I even began to duel with swords which I find very enjoyable. It didn?t seem to matter whether it was the Isle or the Arena, I usually ran into Tass. He is such a flirt, sending kisses to tackle the ladies?me included. Often, I had the opportunity to enjoy Tass?s company by the end of the night. I soon found that I looked forward to the duels more for Tass? flirtatious kisses and company than finding a duel.

One night while visiting the Arena to duel in swords, Tass introduced me to Tera Destre who is a very close friend of his. Des happened to be sitting with a very handsome mand named Gavilean who seemed to be her protector. Des was married to the pirate Jean de La Fontaine who was out to sea. I have to admit, Gav was definitely easy on the eyes. But it didn?t take me long to see he was in love with the beautiful Des and I don?t blame him.

After some chit chat, Tass suggested I should talk with Des if I wanted to know more about him. She was more than willing to share what she knew about a certain dragon and urged me to try very hard to win the heart of said dragon. I also met Koyliak that night. I do believe I heard Koy suggest to Des they should use a locked closet to help move things along. After catching some looks between Koy and Des, I fear they may have more things in mind besides the closet.

I have more to tell, but I must go down to the Inn for a bite to eat. I shall return to finish within the hour.

Oh dinner was delicious for more than one reason! I had dinner with Lord Galeron Lachlann. I met him the other night at the Inn while I was visiting with Gav and Des. Oh, he is sooo handsome and has a wonderful brogue. Did I say how handsome he was? Oh yes, I did. Well, I could have sat that for hours talking with him. He almost made me homesick listening to him talk as he is such a fine example of a noble Scotsman. But I know it will be a long time before I shall return to reclaim what is mine. Anyhow, I really did enjoy our conversation. We were able to talk about all sorts of things. He had a rather interesting story about why he was in Rhydin. I believe he was to be married to a woman that was chosen for him. However, she was horribly ugly. As luck would have it, she choked on a bone and died. How fortunate for Galeron? It would have been a shame to waste his looks on an ugly woman. I?m not sure how long he will be in Rhydin but I do hope to see him again.

Anyhow, I continued to visit the rings to see my new friends as well as catch a duel or two. I spent most of my time with Des who has become my best friend, Gav, Art and Tass. One night, I was kept company by Klinton as well. Somehow, we got on the topic of whether or not I had a significant other or had found a companion in Rhydin. I told Klint that I hadn?t found anyone but it would be possible to be convinced someone was right for me which lead to him asking what would convince me. At that point, I couldn?t come up with a list of characteristics but I could come up with a list of who wasn?t convincing such as Marz and Harris. They quickly became the first names on the ?Not Convincing? list.

Over the next few nights, we all had a lot of fun talking about who was on which list. Since Klinton was married to the beautiful Azjah, he was the first to top the ?Already Taken? list. Des said I should put Gav on the convincing list but like I said before, he was already taken by Des. So he ended up on the ?Already Taken? list.

It is kind of ironic how things worked out. Des ended up losing her husband while he was at sea which truly made me sad for her but I was very happy to see Gav be able to court Des. Tragedy and happiness once again balance themselves. Now, they are engaged to be married and I get to be the Maid of Honor with Tass being the best man. Although I am looking forward to seeing Des get married for more than one reason, I am really looking forward to spending some time with Tass.

Now to the ?Convincing? list, I hadn?t put anyone?s name on that list when Tass happened to drop by the rings. He heard us talking about the list and wanted to know if he was on it. I told him if he sent me a kiss I?d put him on the ?Convincing? list. He quickly sent on those special tackling kisses of his in my direction. So I had to put him on the list?.gladly I must say. He didn?t know it, but he was the first to be on the list and has continued to stay at the top. I had to add Brig to that list because of the way Azjah described his tower.

Oh I didn?t realize how much trouble those lists would get me into. I found I had suitors all over the place. I?ve had so many suitors that Des even opened a book to take bets on which I would choose. I?m thankful I had met the very distinguished Xenograg Bey for he has ended up as my chaperone to help keep the wolves at bay. He is highly respected throughout Rhydin and I am truly honored when he keeps me company at the rings. I must say he is such a stoic man that I find myself trying to behave which can be rather difficult at times.

I can?t help being nice and I do have a tendency to flirt a bit. Plus, when everyone in the Outback says you have to duel in your birthday suit the first time in the pool, you know trouble is bound to happen which it did. I wasn?t about to duel naked but I did duel in a bikini. It was the only suit I could find in the shops. Vinny ended up snagging the top during the last round which he kept as a trophy. Luckily, we were in the pool and I could hide in the water till Art provided me with a towel. Vinny is just one of the many that I have met dueling. I?ve also met Kelathe and Kalinda who gladly joined in on ganging up on Tass one night. Queen Teleperien is also one that I am say that I am glad that I have met. She is a close friend of Xeno?s. Oh I?ve met so many!! There are just too many to list them all!!! Since I?m getting sleepy, I think I'll stop here and save the rest for tomorrow.

It has been a long time, my friend, since I have written. After what happened since the last time I wrote, I decided to spend some time in the country visiting my sister. I only returned to the city to assist with the duels on Twilight Isle as I was scheduled. When I did return, I would visit my room at the Inn , walk by the desk where you sat and think about sitting a spell to write. Yet, I did not. My emotions and feelings were in such turmoil that I was in no mood to write about anything. It was all due to two men?the two men who happened to be on the top of my 'convincing list', the only two on that list?Tass and Brig. But the time has come that I once more want to share with you all that has happened.

It all started when Tass had to go on a trip to take care of some business. He thought it would take a week or so to complete. I had grown to care for him so that I absolutely dreaded the idea of him being gone for so long. I knew I would miss him terribly as well as be worried about him returning safely home. Thus I wanted to do everything possible to help keep him safe. So while we were visiting the Inn the night before he left, I gave him something that was very dear to me that had kept me safe on my journey to Rhydin. It was a small silver celtic knot pendant that I found the night I escaped from Penkaet. It was given to my father by my mother when they first met. At least that is what I was told. Anyhow, I wanted to give it to him to help bring him home safely to me and to remind him of me while he was away. As he left the next day, I felt like a piece of my heart had left with him.

I tried to keep busy to help keep my mind off my worries. I spent a lot of time helping Des with wedding plans. Sometimes, Gav and Des would invite me to the Inn to spend the evening with them. One night, I had the pleasure of being kept company by Xenograg, my chaperone which every single Lady needs, and Brig, who just happened to be visiting the Inn. Brig, as you remember, is number two on my 'convincing list'. Just before Tass left, he began to show some romantic interest in me which found very surprising. We had only just talked and dueled a few times with a bit of flirting but nothing romantic at all. Then I noticed he started to spend more and more time around the rings and the Inn just to talk to me. He even came to the Outback to watch me duel one night. I had never seen him at the Outback before. I must admit Brig is very charming man and I can see why Azjah is so fond of him. The more time I spent in his company, I found that I was quite fond of him too. It seemed as though Tass had some competition.

Well the night at the Inn with Xenograg and Brig, Brig was being his charming self. We got to talking about the view of from his tower. He was nice enough offer to take me on a tour of Twilight Isle and his Tower. Now, I couldn?t pass up such a wonderful offer. I did want to get away from the city for a bit. So off we went as Brig started with a lovely tour of the Isle and finishing with a tour of his Tower. Once we made it to the top to admire the view, we spent a lot of time talking. We really enjoyed each other's company that night. We talked so much that I didn't even realize how the time just flew by. Being so late, he offered guestroom for me to use that night. Knowing how I wanted to find less public living arrangements than the Inn had to offer, he even offered to let me stay as long as I wanted in the tower while he was the Keeper. It is a tantalizing offer as I really would like to get out of the Inn. But I didn?t have to make up my mind then. He said it was an open offer and I was welcomed to visit the tower whenever I wanted. So after we finished our drinks, he showed me the beautiful room that I could use. I was so tired and that soft looking bed was so inviting that I did end up spending the night at the tower? all alone in my room I must say. Brig was a perfect gentleman. The next morning, after we finished breakfast, he took me back to my room at the Inn.

Oh my look at the time!! I must be going or I will be late for dinner with Gav and Des.

Okay, where was I? Oh yes, Tass was still away on his trip. I can remember how the days passed by so slowly. When he didn?t return as planned, it made the days go even slower. I tried not to think about the possibility his return would be delayed. But now it was a reality that I had to face as I knew he had to stay as long as necessary to take care of business. So I continued to worry for his safe return.

Then an elf was horribly attacked on Twilight Isle. The poor creature lost a leg!! So it was decided to form a hunting party to search for the creature or whatever it was that had attacked the elf. I had spent so much time in my room that I didn?t even know about any of it. As I was finishing things up just before my late shift on the Isle, I received an urgent message to come to the Isle to help out with the early shift. When I arrived, I found Brig, along with a beautiful white wolf named Kayla, heading up the hunting party. He, along with other well-known Twilight Isle patrons, waited for a few others to join them before setting off to search for the culprit. I stayed behind to take care of the rings and handle any duels. But no one really felt like dueling. There was definitely tension in the air.

It was some time before the members of the hunting party could be seen at the edge of the forest. As they neared the rings, I could see that one was being carried with the white wolf trailing. I knew instantly who it was. Time seemed to stand still as I watched them bring the body to the beach and lay it on the sand. Although the hunt was successful, Brig lost his life. After a quick goodbye, a pyre was built, his body burned and those still on the Isle soon began to leave. I had to find someone?.someone to talk to. Des and Gav were my only hope which I found at dueling in fist way out in there?not at the Outback because it had been closed due to the fire. I really wasn?t much for talking just a crying. I found myself wanting to be alone hence my return to my room where I stayed for a couple of days before venturing out.

I don?t even think I ate much during those two days. When I finally decided I had better eat or someone would just find a piles of bones in the middle of the floor, I found that I had a visitor. Kayla, the white wolf, was waiting just outside my door. I don?t know how long she had been there. I went on downstairs, taking her with me, to have some dinner. It was nice to have someone with me. Tass still had not returned and Brig would never return, or so I thought. After we ate, I got something too, we went back up to my room. She quietly entered when I opened the door and motioned for her to go in. Tabby and Sam went scurrying when she entered. But she didn?t even pay a bit of attention to them. I told Kayla she could sleep at that foot of my bed. She?s even there now as I write. Well, I think I must be off to bed. I have a big day tomorrow.

Good morning my dear friend. I am so glad to tell you that was the end of why I haven?t felt like going out. Good morning my friend. I have so much to tell and I promise to get you caught up. In my last entry, I mentioned that Kayla, the white wolf, had shown up on my doorstep. It was then that things started looking up for me.

Then one day as I was sitting in my room with just my two kittens there was a knock on my door. Not really thinking anything of it, I went to open the door. Much to my surprise it was BRIG! I was speechless! I probably was white as a sheet for I thought I was seeing a ghost. But come to find out, there was a reason I felt like Brig was close when Kayla was near. She had carried his spirit I guess you could say till he found a body. I know that sounds terrible and it didn't sit well with others, but I didn't care. I was glad to see he was alive. We spent some time talking about what happened on the Isle that dreadful night. And since he had recently become one of my suitors and was second on my list, we did talk about our relationship. In the end, we both knew that it could never be more than just a friendship.

So that brings me to Tass, I missed him so much. I was beginning to fear that he would never return. But I kept telling myself that he would and that he was just taking longer than expected. I really don't know what I would have done if he hadn't returned for I...well...I really like him. You cannot imagine how relieved I was when he did returned. I think my heart must have skipped a dozen beats when I saw him. All I could do was wrap my arms around him and give him a big kiss. I was just so glad to see him.

Shortly after his return, I started spending more and more time at the Atheneaum with Tass. Oh, you probably don?t even know what the Atheneaum is do you? It?s Tass? personal library. It is such a wonderful place. I truly enjoy spending time there?especially when Tass is around. Even when he?s not in the best of moods, I?m still glad to just to be near him. Anyhow, Tass knew I was looking for a place to build a keep as well as knew I wasn't happy with some of the land offers that I had already heard about. So he offered to let me choose a piece of land from his holdings. I have to admit I was really surprised with the offer. Now I spend a lot of my time looking over the deeds and maps trying to find the perfect place. It gives me another chance to spend time with him which I don?t mind at all. But however I?m spending my time, I haven?t been back to the Inn except to check for messages and to visit with friends in a long time. It makes me very happy to stay at the library.

Well, I must be going. I have to head to the Isle. I only have a little bit more to tell to get you caught up. I will write again soon.
