Mr. Ravenlock,

Having recently earned the title of Baroness of Old Market, I wish to aid the community in some manner. I have no wish to step on the toes of any merchants, groups, or residents in the Old Market District. As per a notice on the Arena's corkboard, I plan to contribute by having a new fire brigade building constructed and providing equipment to support those citizens that work there. This building could be in addition to currently available/planned facilities or to replace any facilities that are in need of repair.

Given that the Marketplace has been targeted in the past with violent attacks, arrangements have been made to purchase bomb detection equipment and defusing tools.

I should like to work with you and the other members of the Chamber of Commerce on this project. Be advised that I shall continue to provide the upkeep for the building, equipment, and salaries beyond the time of my holding the sport's title.

I can be contacted at the Cardinal Inn or at my school, Harker's Academy in Old Temple. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Rhiannon Harker
Baroness of Old Market

Miss Harker,

First of all congratulations on your victory. While I have not followed the Duels, as much as I would have liked to, I know it is something you have worked very hard for and more so deserve. Your ethic and drive are to be commended and the Old Market is most fortunate to have you represent them and more so, looking out for their interests as well.

Which is something we all can relate to, indeed.

In regards to your plans for a Fire Brigade Building built within the Old Market District, all I can say is thank you, and welcome aboard.

In regards to the Greater Marketplace Chamber of Commerce, they had assisted in securing the funding needed for us to be able to re-active the Rhy'din Emergency Medical Service / Fire Brigade, that were once based out of the Marketplace before the 'Scarred' event of a few years past.

The logistics however, will be maintained by the 27th Special Operations Division of the Rhy'Din Watch & Localized Militia, currently headed by myself, and Captain Kerrithra Al'Tuatha, along with Sgt. Alex Waterman and Sgt. Serah Farron.

Currently, we have the EMS and Fire Brigade housed along with the 27th Division, inside the Marketplace proper (Until their official house is completed), with an additional station house settled on the east side of the district, just south east of Town Hall.

There are plans for a station house to be built on the waterside (Just south of the central bridge of the city) of the district as well, with the intent to create a specialized division for water operations as well. It will be a smaller outside however, given water operations can be rare. However the upkeep cost will be relatively low on that end, given our backers.

We however have no presence on the western side of the district, at all. By that I mean literally no station houses west of the Marketplace proper, north or south.

Which is unfortunate, but given the pattern of events that have occurred in the central, and east areas, it was imperative that we base there first.

So any and all assistance would be appreciated and more so, supported fully.

While we (The 27th, EMS/Fire Brigade) are privatized and based mainly in the Marketplace, we do assist in other areas of the city on an as needed/requested basis per the Mutual Aid Pact we had charted with the City during my previous term as Minister of Citizen Resources under former Governor Driscol.

In regards to the incidents the Marketplace and your arrangements for Bomb Detection and Defusing equipment, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

The 27th Special Operations Division has a dedicated team dedicated to such protocols, but that is only one team. So any additional support in the form of another team to work with, or to even assist / train with would be rather nice. Especially with the increased events over the past few years, as you made mention of.

So yes, please. Any assistance you wish to offer will be greatly appreciated and in turn we will do anything we can to assist you and yours as well!

This city grows by the day and we can only do so much, but by working together we can do that much more. I look forward to talking with you more on this, and seeing where we can take this, Miss Harker.

I will look for you at the locations that you specified, and again I look forward to seeing where we can take this.

In addition I can be reached directly at the 27th Division Watch House, or the Marketplace Chamber Office.

~Sincerely,

Brian Ravenlock

Mr. Ravenlock,

As per your suggestion, my husband and I located a piece of available property on the west side of the district and broke ground for the basement of the station over the weekend. I hope that this will be a beneficial project to all that live and work in the Marketplace.

I am unaware of the formal procedures of the Chamber and would like to request that you please pass along the following information to the members. Claire Farron and I have taken on the task of planning a street festival in the Marketplace as part of the cyclic Duel of Magic's Archmage Tournament on Sunday, 24 August beginning at 8PM by the eastern clock. (Dueling to begin at 9) Despite the relatively short notice, I hope that members of the Chamber will be willing to participate in the festival to display their wares and/or talents. Cardinal Inn will be offering free food to all as well as lodgings for any tournament participants and those accompanying them. Full details will be made available to the public at large this week.

If there is any way I can be of assistance to you and the Chamber of Commerce members please contact me the Cardinal Inn or at my school, Harker's Academy in Old Temple. Thank you once again for your assistance.

Sincerely,

Rhiannon D. Harker

Baroness Harker,

I have forwarded all of the information to the Chamber Members and am quite excited for the opportunity for us to participate in this event, and I sincerely look forward to what comes of this.

So far we have commitments from Yotsuba's Cake Shoppe, the Clandestine Order of the Seraphim, and the 27th Division of the Rhy'Din Watch.

We look forward to your information release later this week, so that we may better coordinate with you and Claire in regards to the logistics for the event.

Thank again for this opportunity, and take care

My best to you and yours,

Brian Ravenlock
