Cal walked along the beach, it always looked more beautiful in the winter. Especially so late at night, slow footsteps were taken alon the shore and she looked around to scan the whole area. She was the only on there and the snow had melted away. She figured spring was on its way and her head tilted to the cloudy night sky. "I hope it doesn't rain too hard," she murmured.

The immaculate waves rose and fell gracefully as she stared out across the deep blue water. She felt a mix of emotions as several thoughts ran through her head, she needed some time alone to think and now was her chance to do it. This was one of the only places she could be alone right now...

The wind began to scream over the beach as a thunderstorm broke loose, scourging everything in its wake. Branches and debris were tosed against her and she sank to her knees. The cold rain beat against her as she was encompassed in the darkness and misery of the night. She couldn't move... only lay there helplessly as the wet sand stuck to her smooth skin.

Dark's words seemed to echo in her mind as she lay her face against the cold ground, If you ever have a problem you will come to me, right?

She didn't know what to think about anymore... Though vivid images flashed through her mind. The razor her mother pressed to her skin when she was in the kitchen so long ago... She closed her eyes to fight it off but when she opeed them the rain seemed red to her... Almost as though it were blood itself... No, she was imagining things now... The weather was the same as it was now and she reached out for her mother and cried for her to stop... She was simply treated as though she were invisible, her mother didn't care about anything anymore... And she would follow her mother to the window where she would jump out... She reached out to pull the older woman back but her fingers missed her... Down the stairs she ran and outside... The cold rain beat down hard on her as her feet movedacross the ground, hitting shattered glass and her feet began to bleed as she made her way to where her mother had fell... The womans body lay across the fence, a spike stuck through her back and the woman seemed to stare up at the sky... Screams and incessant cries would tumble past her lips and she hugged the woman's body to her... She figured someone must have looked out their window because the last thing she remembered was police sirens and someone prying her away from the deceased woman's body...

Her own tears had begun to fall freely down her visage, cascading down her cheeks quickly. The salty substance seemed to mix in with the rain though a sob was choked back.

She remembered the last time she had come to the lake alone... Damari had raped her and then told her he cared about her and tried to apologize... "Why was I so stupid to believe him?!"

And again her thoughts managed to wonder to Dark... She was so confused about him that she didn't know what to think. Did she love him? She couldn't... She refused to believe that... Dark was a good friend like Cade... The only difference was she slept with him... That sounded like a logical conclusion to her...

A heavy sigh escaped her lups followed by a roar from the sky and a flash of lightning would illuminate her visage. She looked pretty pathetic lying on the beach like that...

((OOC: Anyone can post here... I just kind of wrote this because I was bored...))

Jaymz walked along the beach, letting the storm whip at him as he gazed off. A familiar figure in the distance would catch his gaze. "Do you always lie on the ground when it thunders?" He made sure Cal had heard him, a devious smirk tugged at his lips. She did look pretty pathetic there.

"Only for you... I thought I'd put myself in a vulnerable position because you can't resist it," she teased. She rose to her feet and looked him over with a stolid expression. "Help me get out of this weather..." Footsteps neared him and she took his arm in hers.

"I'm engaged to be married, Cal..." He nudged her side and grinned. "Still afraid of a little thunder?" He knew he would get hit for that but it was so hard not to tease her about it. "The storm will be over soon, stay out here with me..."

"Oh, really? Who's the unlu...er...lucky soul?" Just then she could hear a roar of thunder cut through the sound of the ouring rain. She grabbed Jaymz abruptly and held him close to her, bruying her soaking wet face into his shoulder. She shared her weakness with others seldomly but some had managed to figure it out on their own-that was when it rained it was harder for her to hide the fact that she feared thunder. And even more hard to hide behind the mask she so often wore, if someone wanted to get something out of her they merely had to drag her outside into a storm. They would be able to get her to tell them just about anything. Stuff she normally would keep hidden wouldn't be so safe. It was a good thing that very few had sunk to such levels of doing just that though...

"You know the woman I told you to kill? Alice-she changed her name and appearance and we're engaged now... You should tell Damari..." His voice was nearly a whisper in her ear. He held onto her like an overprotective boyfriend, though anyone knew that Jay always had a thing for hanging on Callie if she wasn't already hugging him. The two were like the brother and sister who couldn't keep their hands off each other when they were young. "So....who have you been sleeping with?" He was teasing her but the answer she gave him would tell him if he was right or not.

Cal pushed Jay away, "I'm going home..." The storm had only become more violent and despite the fact that she would embrace Jay so easily was because she hated him... She knew that by hugging him she wouldn't be tempted to do anything else with him. She made her way off, moving in the direction of the Inn... Maybe a late night visit to the Inn would give her the time she needed to think and be alone. She doubted any of her friends... or the sledom few people she talked to would be there and if they were she could find a secluded place in the alley...
