Annabeth stepped into the billiards room with a bounce in her step. The performance had went fantastic, and she was looking forward to spending the evening with her two new friends, Lucy and Damien.
She glanced around the room, not entirely certain what to expect. Billiard rooms in her experience could range widely from sanitized family settings to something more akin to a dive bar. She really hoped it fell somewhere in between those two, but a little closer to the former than the latter.
She was relieved to see that that seemed to be true. It seemed, in her mind at least, to be a cross between a British style pub, and a small town bowling alley. She could smell food, beer, but there wasn?t a lot of smoke or swearing, and the music seemed to be live and quite surprisingly madrigal. It was a little unusual to the setting but she supposed lots of people needed work in Rhy?din, and it did have it?s charm.
She tried hard not to glance toward the windows, just as she had tried hard not to glance over her shoulder during the walk from the theater here. She was telling herself it was her imagination and nothing more.
No tonight was for fun.
She noticed a podium set up to rent a table and balls, so she headed that way. She rented a table for two hours, they had already worked out the money situation on the walk over. Looking to her friends she smiled.
?Well, pick out a table you two.?
