Saila spent most of the day running back and forth across the city, gathering what few belongings she'd accumulated in the last year from the various hiding spots they'd been stashed in. By nightfall she was all moved in and officially - official.
A year, two months and a handful of days since her awakening, the mercurial muse at long last had a place of her very own.
It was such a small thing, really, the officially Not Being Homeless. She needed precious little sleep and there were at least five places she could crash, no questions asked, on any given day if she needed to. Six if you counted the one in Brazil. Technically, she 'owned' one place and had sold another already, had partial ownership in yet a third. But one really belonged to Quinn's family, one had been thrust upon her and left a bad taste in her mouth, and one had burned to the ground.
This place, though. This place was all her own. She'd put in an application and put down the deposit all by herself with money she'd personally earned from the Shanachie, and after Sabine's good word got her application accepted, she paid her first month's rent all by herself, too.
Dammit, Cane was right again. This did feel pretty good.
Location: 372 Colfax Rd. Apt #2-B, Rhydin City, Rhydin
Neighborhood: Dockside
Within walking distances to the Dockside Baronial Manor, one Chinese Restaurant (that delivers!), Panacea, Reynaldo's Bruised Fruit and Produce (dented and bent, never abused!), The Psychic Deli, and the Little Koreas, as well as a short distance from WestEnd and Old Temple.

Although small at about four hundred square feet, the apartment has plenty of shelving, a built-in window seat with storage, and an open staircase with room underneath for a small table or more storage.
It came furnished, which was a bonus because Saila didn't exactly own any furniture. There was a couch, a bistro style table and two chairs, plus a full size bed with night stand and a television stand. They were all second hand but in excellent condition considering, and it was very clear that the previous owner(s) had taken pains to keep them in good shape.
A stacked washer and dryer, a three piece bath, a private fire escape that leads to exclusive rooftop access and a private side entrance? Yes please. Plus, it's an end unit.
The upper level is an open loft, so there is little privacy in the apartment, but Saila didn't mind. The bathroom is the only room with a door.
The strangest quirk, perhaps, was that the small space was practically filled with plants? Saila hadn't chosen them and apparently Sabine hadn't either, but since they were around she did her best to keep them alive.
...When she remembered to come home, anyway.
