Look at the sky tell me what do you see
Just close your eyes and describe it to me
The heavens are sparkling with starlight tonight
That's what I see through your eyes

I see the heavens each time that you smile
I hear your heartbeat just go on for miles
And suddenly I know why life is worthwhile
That's what I see through your eyes
That's what I see through your eyes

Before the journey?

Another case, another day she felt she was losing herself. Sure, Bridgeport was grateful for her help. Another creep put away where he couldn?t hurt anyone. They were calling it a success. She was not. This slime ball had hurt too many innocents. The memories of what he would do to his victims had her sick to her stomach.

She felt dirty. She had been within his mind. No amount of showering could wash the sickening feelings from her. ?(vq) I cannae do this anymore.? She leaned against the wall of the shower as the water flowed over her skin. ?(vq) Goddess, help me, Tis too much. I need time? Need tae heal.? It was times like this when the Gaelic would seep into her voice.

She stepped from the shower and donned a silken robe of crimson. The night was sultry, just warm enough to be uncomfortable. She laid down to rest and prayed she didn?t dream about the case. The scent of lavender surrounded her as she remembered the greeting from her parents hours earlier. It was a comfort.

Here in the night, I see the sun
Here in the dark, our two hearts are one
Its out of our hands, we can't stop what we have begun
And love just took me by surprise, looking through your eyes

She didn?t?

She knew she was sleeping and yet she found herself within her room at the castle. The awareness that the Sight had called to her was as familiar as the comforts of her room. She azure eyes turned to the floor mirror standing by her bureau. She walked forward to gaze at the figure within.

Even in the dark of the night she could see his features. The shaggy brown hair, the vibrant green eyes. She lifted her hand to touch the glass where his cheek was. She felt a stirring, a tenderness. Was this who she was meant to find?

I see a night I wish could last forever
I see a world we're meant to see together
And it is so much more than I remember
More than I remember
More than I have known

If she wanted to, she could push through the glass to the other side. Yet, something jumped on her jump, waking her from the dream. Her mother?s cat purred at her and snuggled in close. She cuddled the animal and murmured softly, ?(vq) What should I do, Raistlin??

There was no answer save the purring of the cat.

Here in the night, I see the sun
Here in the dark, our two hearts are one
Its out of our hands, we can't stop what we have begun
And love just took me by surprise, looking through your eyes
Looking through your eyes

Something made his stomach turn over dinner. Something deep and painful as if his very soul had been scratched or tampered with. The feeling made him weak and he pushed his chair away from the table nodding first to his sister and then her friend Elion.

He made his way up the stairs and peeled his clothing off of himself. He sighed and just fell against the bed with a sigh. He lit a bundle of white sage by the bed and inhaled deeply from the smoke before laying himself down to rest.

He sat up in bed, but he had no idea he was dreaming. He walked right away to the dresser and grabbed a hold of the marble bowl where he had set the sage to burn. Eyes shifted to the mirror and he noticed he was being watched through his reflection. The woman was stunning and he just stood there dumbfounded. He had a dozen things to ask her, like how she had gotten there and where she had come from. She reached out seemingly to touch his face, and his own hand raised to touch the place on mirror where her fingers were. But just then she was gone and he was left standing alone in front of his mirror.

She had taken mere seconds to heal the part of his soul that had seemed to be torn. Or perhaps it was her soul that was strained, maybe they had fixed each other. It was hard to say. Liam waited for what seemed like hours for the woman with the fiery hair and piercing eyes. She never returned but he woke refreshed with little recollection of the dream. The eyes were engraved into his mind. He would never forget those cerulean pools.

He had some searching to undergo. It wouldn?t be easy. But he was determined he would find the owner of those eyes.

It had been a true seeing...

Little did she know she would find those beautiful eyes when she traveled to spend time with her cousin. Her parents had fussed about the shadows under her eyes, the strain of trying to help so many. She had been burning out and a vacation was needed.

Fate has a funny way of playing tricks on people. She found those eyes in Fiona?s brother, Liam. He was so close, yet so far. She felt so inept each time she tried to reach out but really what did she know? Had he dreamed of her, or was the sight one-sided and she had to win him over? She didn?t know. She did know she kept putting her foot into it every time.

She stood out on the patio one night and gazed at the moon. She had been sleeping better since coming here? Since Liam placed the charm in her room. A soft smile crossed her lips at that. She was still touched by the thought. The nightmares still came, but not as often or as harsh.

With the warm weather, she was wearing a sport camisole and a pair of Capri leggings with her sandals. Tonight was cool and the air crisp. She was glad she came.

Still? something was missing.

He stood by the window in his room and gently with the back of his hand he brushed the drapes out of the way. He watched Caelyn in the yard below. He wondered if she knew that she had the eyes that haunted his mind. Sucked him in and forced him to stare.

It made Ellie poke fun at him, but he didn?t care. He couldn?t help but be taken in by her. A sigh and he watched on. Was he some type of pervert for watching her without her knowledge. He didn?t think so, it wasn?t sexual, not that he didn?t find her completely and utterly stunning, it was more that he felt that this was the woman who had strained and repaired his soul all within the same night. If she turned to look up at him he would wave to her.

He had a potion book open on the desk in front of the window. It was open to a recipe for removing bad dreams. He was across the hall from Caelyn and he could hear her thrash and whimper in his sleep. He was a softy and he knew it. At this point he was soaking the herbs in salt water. They would have to remain that way until sunrise. Then he would bless them and render them for her. A sigh as he watched her hoping he wasn?t creeping anyone out.

She felt the eyes on her and she smiled. She knew he was there watching. She looked up at his window and smiled at him. The look said much before she hooded her eyes and turned to step into the house.

She was the newcomer here, but the others made her feel welcome. Even if she did eat Ellie's Fruit Loops... She loved her cousin dearly. Still, she was finding her place in the house.

She turned to ascend the stairs to the wing she shared with Liam. More of a sanity measure so to speak, though she was used to Ellie. Sandaled feet took her down the hall where she stopped just outside Liam's door.

Her hand was raised to knock, but she was unsure if she should bother him. She sighed and her hand dropped to her side. She really had no clue what she was doing. Maybe she had been too sheltered growing up though the Sight was it's own gift... and curse.

People tended to freak out with things they did not understand. She knew she had a gift and others did not understand. Made relationships hell...

The hands raise to touch the door much like she did in the mirror. "(vqw) Goddess, why am I such a wimp?"

He saw her come inside, and he waited. He had to talk to her, ask her if she had seen him too. He stood up and looked at himself in the mirror. Jeans and t-shirt were in perfect order and his converses weren?t too destroyed. He tried to tame back that chestnut hair but what good would that do. He gave himself a ?Good as it gets kinda look and wondered if he would be bothering her. He didn?t care. He was through with pretending it had never happened.

Pulling open his door he stepped right out and right into the hand she had lifted to touch his door. Which rested now on his cheek. He pulled a small satchel from his pocket so she could hear what he was thinking. Instead of speaking he thought the words.

~Hello. I was just coming to check on you. Are you alright? You seem upset. I know its rude to communicate with you this way. I just don?t want Ellie and Fiona to hear me. They already give me a hard enough time.~

He stared at her and opened the door picking the satchel back up and carefully shoving it back into his pocket before a gesture invited her into his room. A smile and a nod as he sat on the couch to one side of his bedroom.

She was a little surprised at the door opening and blushed as she touched cheek.

~Hello. I was just coming to check on you. Are you alright? You seem upset. I know its rude to communicate with you this way. I just don?t want Ellie and Fiona to hear me. They already give me a hard enough time.~

~Not rude... Intimate. I had been rude about it.~ Her fingers lightly caressed his cheek before she accepted his invitation and moved inside his room. Seeing his nod, she moved to settle on that couch next to him.

"(vq) I saw you in the window." She started softly. She knew what he meant when he said he was having a hard time. Ellie was giving it to her in spades as well. Reason why the Fruit Loops kept disappearing...

She looked up at him and spoke very softly. "(vq) I saw you once... before I arrived in my dreams."

Liam

With a shifting of fingers and a waving towards the door the smallest of breezes blew it shut and he smiled and sat cross legged facing.

?(Vq) Sorry, I just?I like to watch you.? He paused and shook his head rubbing his brows and shaking his head. ?I don?t mean that in the creepy, watching you change and shower kind of way, Id never do that, I mean I like to watch you when you?re thinking. Its fun to imagine what?s going on in your mind when you are at peace.?

When she spoke about having seen him before he nodded and a sigh of relief escaped him. As if a massive burden had been lifted from him.

?I?ve been dreaming of your eyes for months. Once while asleep, and the rest waking. I find my mind wandering back to the same eyes. When you showed up at the door I nearly fainted. And I am pretty sure I ran away and up here. But I swear I was making sure that the room across from mine was set up. Selfish maneuver I know, and Ellie and my sister think its because I wanted to shag you, but it wasn?t that? Not to say that I don?t?It wasn?t for personal gain ok??

Caelyn

There was a soft laugh. It was gentle, and certainly not mean spirited. She listened to him ramble a little. Was he as nervous as she was?

"I had come home after a pretty bad case. I... wanted a break, time to de-stress. The sight showed me you in my mirror that night. When I saw you here, my heart was racing. I never expected."

She smiled gently at him, "I am glad I came though. You don't know how much you have already helped me, Liam."

She smiled, "As for Fiona and Ellie... I'm already waging a campaign on Ellie." She grinned mischievously. The grin softened again, "Still..."

One finger went to touch his lips, "I don't think I'd be objecting if you wanted to shag me." There was that twinkle in her eyes. It was out there, that first step.

Liam

There was an exclamation from Liam then as he looked her in the eyes. ?I felt the pain you felt that night. The strain on your soul, stretched to mine. And yes! It was in the mirror! I remember now!? It was the first time he had remembered ever. His smile crept across his lips and he nodded thinking back and remembering the dream. "I went to touch you and you were gone but I waited by the mirror until I woke up."

Caelyn pulled her legs under her and got comfortable. "I was thinking of reaching through when my mother's cat woke me." She admitted softly, "I remembered your eyes and thinking I had to find you."

Liam nodded and he added soon after. "You did a wonderful job of finding me. I mean it got to the point where every time I met a woman I stared at her eyes. None of them were right. A couple months ago I had given up. And then there you were. And I am glad the idea of me wanting to shag doesn?t bother you."

Caelyn was still smiling, "Seems the Goddess wanted me to come here. I am just sorry you had to feel what I felt with that pain." She tilted her head, "I... don't like hurting people. Especially those I care about."

He responded somberly to her with a nod. "I know. I know you didn?t hurt me on purpose. I know not all projections are not chosen. You don?t have to apologize. Its since been quelled."

She reached a hand out to touch his arm, ?So your sister and my cousin have been giving you a hard time?"
Something he had made mention of earlier forced her to delve deeper into the subject.

"Your cousin thinks that I am just trying to chase your skirt." He laughed and nodded trying to hide the blush. He had been going through this for all the time Elion had been here. Apparently you walk in ONE TIME on someone in the shower and suddenly you?re branded a pervert for all of eternity.

She had to giggle at that. "She so overprotective sometimes." She looked thoughtful, "Doesn't ask if maybe I want to be chased." Family had a funny way of not asking what was wanted, instead going about and doing things their own way.

"I don?t think she cares, I keep telling her Am not chasing. And I?m not. Mind you I wouldn?t mind chasing. But I wouldn?t try anything stupid. And I am not as much of a perv as she thinks I am!" He didn?t make mention of the skin bin in the closet. And he was trying not to think about it incase his ward wasn?t working.

She wasn't looking, "So maybe we .. um." She blushed a bit. "Give 'em something' to talk about?"

He looked to the hand rested on his arm and gently he slipped a hand over hers. "I think it would take much to give them something to talk about." He smiled that crooked smile and nodded to her.

She smiled at him softly, "Probably, still... Fate seems determined there." She leaned over to kiss his cheek. This was a bit of a bold move, but oh well. Time to stop being a wimp.

Liam

That crooked smile turned into a brighter and fuller one, complete with the pink that crawled over his cheeks. Before she could pull away he would turn so he could brush his lips against hers.

She didn't pull away when he turned, instead kissing him back softly. There was an answering shade of pink.
The tip of his nose nuzzled against hers before he pulled back. "Now they have plenty to talk about."

A smile as he chewed on his bottom lip. For someone everyone considered to be a skirt chaser and tail grabber he certainly seemed a little shy around Caelyn. Maybe people had the wrong idea about Liam.

She smiled with the nuzzle. She was finding him to be very sweet. "Definitely." Her fingers were moving slightly along his arm. "I'm also finding I don't care what others think. You?"

"I think that even if we never had this tryst they would talk. So why should I care?" He smiled and reached up to slide a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Plus I say its worth it."

She leaned into that touch, "Very worth it, Liam." She was smiling bright now. "One day at a time, but I want to walk this path with you."

"I?d be honored." He smiled and looked to the bottle on the desk and then to the time on his watch. "I?m hoping I can get your nightmares to stop all together."

She looked over to the bottle curious, "Perhaps in time. The charm you did place has been helping a lot."

"This is stronger than that. And more specific. I mean it smells. But then again, you only have to put it on yourself once. Although its kind of tricky, so you may bath in stinky water for nothing the first couple times. But I?ve never tried so hard on a single spell before in my life."

She gently squeezed his arm, "I think I can endure the scent for a little while. I really appreciate this, Liam."

"You don?t have to thank me. It bothers me, hearing you thrash around while you sleep. It just, I get so, I don?t know it hurts." He looked down into his lap and nodded. "Yeah that?s the right way to put it.

She moved to clasp his hand. "It takes a toll on you after awhile. Sometimes you say no, but when you do say yes... I wish I could help the ones that were hurt before the criminal is stopped." She sighed softly, "It's seeing what they do that hurts."

Liam

Date: 2010-07-01 19:48 EST
"So don?t. Don?t go back to that. Don?t let them use you that way. Sure you?re helping but at what cost." His brow was furrowed as if her pain flowed right through him. He shook his head. And tried to understand.

She murmured softly, "I have reason to stay ... I can't do that anymore." She looked at him.

"I'd never ask you to stop doing something you wanted to do, unless it was hurting you, but do you understand the tiny tears you put in your soul every time something like that happens?"

She nodded, "I had been thinking long about it. Even if I went home, I would not have returned to that work."

"Good, because with a spirit as ancient as yours. Its worth too much to just be thrown away that way." He didn?t mention that he would worry to no end about her if that was the case.

She leaned in close and laid her head on his shoulder. "Hmm, it has been a long day. I should get some rest."

"I will walk you to your room. Unless you?d like to rest just like this. I have no objection to either."

She smiled, "Here is good, but I'd think you would want to get comfortable too."

He adjusted himself slightly, leaning back a bit and gently running his fingers through her hair. He looked down at her, resting on his shoulder like this and it made his features soften. They were connected and in his eyes there was nothing more comfortable. "I am perfectly fine. Although we are both grown adults. No one could tell us not to sleep in the bed."

She was smiling, "That was the idea, Liam."

?Oh yes...The idea. Sorry...I?m...I don?t have women over...Ever. Don?t mind my awkwardness." He walked over to the bed and turned it down for her with a smile. He offered his hand to her with a nod.

She took his hand and stood, "It's alright... I'm... not the most experienced girl either." She admitted softly.

"Okay good." He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, kicked off his shoes and slid into bed. Opening his arm and offering her the choice to cuddle in.

She slid into the bed leaving off her sandals and snuggled in close to him.

Reaching up he hit the light switch and wrapped his arms around her and smiled watching her before he fell asleep.

Caelyn had slipped away early the next morning to run errands. She was out at the Marketplace doing a bit of food shopping. She was in the mood for a little mischief, like substituting someone Fruit Loops with Toasted Oat rings.

Liam was wandering through the market, picking out things that he needed for upcoming spells. Mostly he always kept the room next to Caelyn's well stocked with dried herbs, spices, salts and teas.

She was looking for fresh items, Vegetables, some meat. Anything they didn't grow themselves. She smiled as she ran into Liam. "Hey."

"Oh hey... I didn?t hear you leave this morning. Was everything ok?" He canted his head to one side and looked over to her with a smile.

She leaned over to kiss his cheek, "Oh, yes. Just wanted to get a few things done. I didn't want to wake you."

"Oh thank you, but I slept through my morning blessing of your potion. Either way, I was wondering if you managed to sleep without a nightmare. I didn?t wake to any thrashing."

"No nightmares, thankfully." She smiled at him, "Next time I'll wake you, though you looked so peaceful there." She shifted her basket and looked at the fresh produce, "Was there anything you wanted while I'm here?"

"I want to carry that for you if you'd let me." He smoothed his hand over the back of his head trying to tame his hair a bit. That goofy grin played on his features just for her.

She smiled sweetly at him and handed it over, "Why thank you kind sir." She looped her hand on his arm though.

He held her basket and walked with her a smile on his face. He turned his head to face her with a smile. "I?m glad to hear that by the by. I hope that I can hold them off for as long as you'll let me."

She leaned up to kiss his cheek again, "I hope so too. Added bonus." She grinned at him. "Any problems from the gruesome twosome?" It was her affectionate nickname for her cousin and his sister.

"Haven?t seen them. They were probably spending their night the same way we did. Curled up and content. I wish they would both just admit how they feel to the other. But I won?t push. Fiona pushes back I?ve noticed."

She shook her head, "Ellie is positively gone on Fiona. They'll get there on their own time."

"And Fiona won?t stop spoiling the ever living Christ out of Ellie. And it?s so damn adorable to see them when they think no one is looking. They cuddle on the back bench"

She smiled at that, "It's harder on them because of who they are. I'm happy though they have each other." She grinned at him, "(vq) Though I'm happier I got you."

"Around here, no one cares if women are bedding with women, or men bed with men. It?s about happiness. And I certainly have that."

"That is good. This place can get very strange." She looked at one of the stalls with different crystals and stones. "Though it is good not to have to hide our gifts either. They appear more commonplace."

"Well witches not so much, more mages than anything but we aren?t treated so badly here."

She looked at one geode and selected that plus some tumbled stones. "Thankfully. I was half-afraid it would be like home."

The shopkeeper nodded to Liam and he smiled. Stones and crystals were something he bought a lot of. He nodded and the man scribbled something down. Probably putting the items onto his account. "Thanks Will." He turned back to her am shook his head. "No this place is nothing like any other place I?ve ever been very accepting and open."

She blinked up at him and smiled softly. "(vq) Thank you." She took the bag with her purchases and carefully placed them in the basket. "Want to sidetrack for a drink?"

"I?m not too much of a drinker, but I would Love to have a drink with you." He didn?t admit to being a smoker. Much like Fiona, his cigarettes were hidden all about the yard and house.

She smiled, "Neither am I, but there is a quiet Teashop." She laced her arm through his.

"Yes Tea's and Tomes... I got in trouble for making eyes at the owner?s granddaughter once. But I don?t remember ever actually making eyes with her." A shrug of his shoulders and as they approached he opened the door up for her with a smile.

Caelyn

She giggled and stepped inside, "Maybe this time you won't." She moved over to the counter.

"Hmmm I doubt I'll even glance. How?s that?" It was another one of his sets of eyes he checked. Where as the shopkeeper?s granddaughter?s eyes were blue they were shallow and wrong. He had found the eyes he was looking for so he had no need to look any further.

She smiled at him, "I can agree to that." She looked at the pastries, settling on some strawberry tarts with a iced tea, also strawberry.

He thought a moment and picked out a raspberry tart and Mango juice. He had weird taste to be sure.

She made a move to pay for both. "You don't mind me taking over the kitchen at the house?"

"Not at all." He shooed her hand away and dropped a couple of coins onto the counter before gesturing to the room. Wondering where Cae wanted to sit.

She moved over to one of the couches. "Was wondering. You'll have to let me know what you prefer though."

"We don?t eat much meat in the house. I mean no one is a vegetarian, we just never really cook it. Pity really. Because I love chicken."

She smiled at that, "Okay, that tells me what I'm gonna make for dinner. Grill chicken sound good?" She got comfortable on the couch, setting her goodies on the end table.

He again sat down beside her, but cross-legged and facing her. "That sounds perfect to me. I love grilled chicken."

She smiled, "Good, because I do eat meat... I don't mind vegetables buuut."

"Fiona avoids all red meat, but I think that?s because she thinks its going to make her fat. Apparently emaciated is in style this season." A roll of his eyes and he sipped from his mango juice.

She settled close and sipped at her tea. "I avoid it because it doesn't agree with me. Otherwise, poultry, fish." She tilted her head to look at him.

"I don?t have any allergies. I don?t really eat red meat too often, but that?s because I am the only one whoever really eats it." A nod and he held his juice cupped between both hands and watched her. Tilting her head in mock and asking: "What?"

She blushed a bit, "I like to look." She smiled then. "I'm just? I dunno. Blessed?"

"Then look away. But be warned I too like to look. I like to see people acting natural. Sometimes I sit at the fountain out there and watch mothers interact with their children, and people meeting for lunch. Its nice."

"People watching, hmm?" She didn't look away. "I just don't like looking too deeply."

"If you want to look deeply into me let me know. I'll get rid of the charm."

She smiled at him, "I think I'd like to learn without using the sight. Seems... fairer that way."

"Alright. But if you ever want a peek, I?m an open book." He blushed but quickly hid it behind his glass of juice.

She took a bite of one of those fruit tarts and washed it down with some of the Tea. "Alright. The same goes, Liam. Feel free to ask."

"I don?t want to ask. I want to observe and learn as I go. We will learn the little and big things and we will have a wonderful time doing it."

She curled her legs under her. "Alright, I like that idea. And I won't cheat and use my sight, fair?"

"And I won?t cheat and spy on you... I mean aside from yesterday. But that was different. You were too adorable in the garden."

She laughed at that, "I'll have to dance for you one night, under the moon."

"I don?t know if I could handle the anticipation. I suppose we will have to see huh?" He blushed when he thought of it.

She placed her hand on his, "Oh yes. Shouldn't be too long."

Turning his hand over so their palms could kiss he smiled at her. "I assure you it will feel like an eternity." He chugged back a bit of his juice and finished the tart leaning back a bit.

She finished her snack and settled in with her iced tea. "Ellie is better than I am, though we had the same teacher."

"I?ve seen my sister and your cousin dancing a bunch of times. But it?s always a little awkward because Fiona is kinda stiff about it.

She nodded, "Ellie can help her with that." She laced her fingers in his. This was said innocently enough.

"I?m sure they teach each other lots." His cheeks flushed a little and he shook his head. "I didn?t mean it like how It seemed I meant it."

She shook her head, "It's alright, Liam. Really." She leaned close, uncurling the legs.

"Trust me I don?t think they do that stuff...They wont even admit that they?re a couple yet."

She smiled, "I meant, you don't have to worry about offending me. Look who I grew up with." She said gently.

"Oh...Yeah... Still it's not right to speak blunt in front of ladies.?

She squeezed his hand gently, "I don't know where anyone could think you are a skirt chaser, Liam." She was smiling. She though he was so cute.

"Anyone who's seen me drunk can see it easily." He laughed and rubbed his brows. "I?m a bit shameless"

Caelyn

She giggled at that, "A bit, eh? Is that why you don't drink much?" She brought his hand up to place a light kiss on the back of it. She was a bit affectionate.

He smiled and nodded. "I ended up with some tramp in my lap last time. I got no end of grief for it too." His eyes shifted to look at the spot where she had kissed.

She tilted her head, "Well, I'll just have to make sure I end up in your lap the next time." She teased, half-serious though.

"It would be one hell of step up. And since last time I have to say the scenery has greatly improved. You?re a lot prettier than she was."

She blushed a little there, "Thank you Liam." A stray strand of red was brushed out of her eyes.

"Would you like to head home so we can get started on dinner?" He was attempting to be perceptive

She nodded, "Sure." There would be a bit of prepping before dinner would be ready. "Any requests for dessert?"

He was sipping from his juice and he choked. Stopping and looking up at her with a shrug of his shoulders, he was glad she wasn?t mind peeking. A slow smile spread at that. She didn't need to peek. "As in food, Liam."

"Hey no peeking! It?s hard to not think of it. I?m sorry" He cheeks were scarlet and he got up, picked up her bundle and offered his hand to her. "I don?t care as long as we can have it together."

Standing, She kissed his cheek, "I didn't peek." Her fingers laced again in his. "That one was kinda telegraphed.?

"Damn. Sorry" He laughed and headed back towards home. Fingers laced in hers and eyes on hers. He almost walked into a dozen or so people or things. She laughed and kept him from walking into people as they headed home.

Unlocking the door he walked in and set her things on the kitchen counter and sat down at the table. She went to work with putting the things she didn't need away first. At the same time she was picking things out for dinner. She pulled some boneless chicken from the fridge and got to work on prepping it.

"What kinda chicken are you making? Because I can run out and get the herbs out of the back garden if you?d like."

"A Grilled Seasoned, and Herbs would be a big help." She smiled at him.

"Want me to bring in rosemary? Or anything else too? Because I can bring you anything you?d like"

"Hmm, Rosemary should be fine." She was pulling some lemons and Garlic out as well. She also pulled out the salt and olive oil for this. She started combining the ingredients while the grill was heating.

He slipped out and then in no time at all he was back with a handful of rosemary. "I brought leafs and stems because I didn?t know exactly what you wanted."

She took some of the sprigs and let them moisten a bit, while combining the leaves in the marinade for the chicken, "This works out good. There's a little technique for more flavor." She added the chicken to the mixture, coating it well and let it sit while she made a simple garden salad. Once the chicken had marinated long enough she took those moistened sprigs and the container with the chicken to the grill. She placed the sprigs on the coal and then the chicken on the grill.

He stayed inside and set the table in the dining room for two. He must have stared at the candelabra for a good three minutes before he pulled his Zippo out of his pocket and lit each one carefully. He went to the fridge and looked for something someone would have on a nice romantic dinner and it was either going to be wine, champagne, water, juice or what he had to assume was some potion Fiona had made.

She turned the chicken over so it could cook thoroughly. She had enough on for two at this moment with more set side if the others wanted some later. She was enjoying this night so far. The chicken was cooked thoroughly on both sides.

He turned the lights down and raked his fingers through his hair with a sigh. Champagne it was then and he dropped the chilled bottle on ice in the dining room and looked around. Cheesy music was a little too clich? so he avoided it. He wondered if this was all clich? to her.

She plated the chicken and brought it into the table. She blinked a moment as she set the plate down, "Liam... This is wonderful." She went to the kitchen for the salad.

He smiled and blushed deeply. He was glad she thought so. Ellie would have told him to stop being such a womanizer. He didn?t know if that?s how it came across.

She came back a moment later with two bowls of salad, the rest stored for later. She placed the bowls on the table and kissed his cheek. "(vq) This is so sweet."

"Awww, thanks. I didn?t know if you'd think it was clich?. I?ve never eaten with anyone by candlelight before. I mean aside from when the power went out back home and we were without it for six days... But that was jus tme and Fio... So I don?t think it counts." He was babbling now and his cheeks were burning red.

She moved to sit in one of the chairs, "Clich?, oh no. I like this a lot. Not many opportunities for a romantic dinner, you know."

"Yeah, I know. I just keep praying they don?t come wandering back in here." He walked up behind her and pushed her chair in for her while she sat. He sat across from her and smiled serving her the chicken.

She smiled at him, "I know what you mean. I love my cousin. Just not that much." She grinned. "Bon appetite."

Popping the champagne he poured her some and then some for himself. A small sip and he realized that he wasn?t the biggest fan of the stuff. She took a sip and tilted her head, "Hmmm, I don't see what the big deal is about this stuff."

"I don?t know. It isn?t very good. But I wasn?t about to put out water or juice..." He laughed and shook his head. "Sorry. Remind me next time we are out to get honey mead, or Fae wine. Ellie really likes both so they are worth a shot."

She smiled, "I can also see if Da would send over some of his homemade wine." She took a bite of the chicken. "What do you think of dinner?"

"Sounds perfect." He raised a bite of his chicken to his mouth and smiled brightly and swallowed. "It?s really fantastic."

"Thank you." She smiled softly, "I found a simple recipe that has been working out so far."

"It?s wonderful. You?ll have to show me sometime. Maybe I wont light anything on fire, like usual." He winced and canted his head a tiny bit. He certainly wasn?t a cook.

She smiled, "It would be my pleasure." She took another bite. "Hmm, and the garden is a big help. Fresh is always better."

"The garden was Fiona's idea. And that?s her baby. She tends to it from 4 to 7 in the morning every morning; weeding watering and singing. She really loves those plants."

She took a bite of the salad, "It shows too. It's the best I've seen." She sipped at the champagne, crinkling her nose at it. "Definitely will have to talk to Da."

"I?m sorry it isn?t what you like. We've got wine in the fridge, Merlot." He was shifting uneasily in his seat.

She smiled warmly at him, "It's alright. I think we would both do better with the wine." She reached across to touch his hand a moment.

A nod and he picked up the bottle of champagne and brought it into the kitchen. Dumping the bottle down the sink he wondered if someone was going to miss it. He shrugged and pulled the wine down and brought it into the dining room to uncork and pour it. She watched him move, checking out the departing features. She turned back to the remains of her dinner and took another bite.

Mind you he thought he had caught her looking at his butt and for the first time he hoped he was wearing pants that made his ass look good. She was settled in and finishing up dinner. She smiled up at him. He sat and after pouring her wine and then his own he went back to his dinner.

She smiled, feeling positively lazy at the moment. "I can't think of a more enjoyable night."

"Me either." He leaned back after finishing and he drank the rest of his wine. "I have to get to bed, I?ve got to get up for the blessing in the morning or else those nightmares may come back."

She stretched a bit, "Um, did you want company?"

"If that is an offer of your company than yes. But not any old company will do."

She smiled, "Yes it's an offer of my company." She stood up and started taking dishes into the kitchen.

He blew out the candles and cleared the rest of the dishes away. He smiled and walked up to his room. Changing into a pair of black lounge pants and white undershirt. He was sitting on the edge of the bed thinking of how lucky he really was. She went into change into a t-shirt and shorts. Really short shorts... She slipped into his room with a smile.

"Welcome back to Casa Del Liam. I'll be your guide tonight into the land of pleasant dreams. If you?d please step this way." He crawled into the bed and held his arm out for her to curl up against him.

She crawled into the bed and snuggled up against him. "I'm looking forward to it."

Both arms wrapped protectively around her after he reached up and turned out the lights. He pressed a kiss to her temple before laying his head down to watch her until they slept. She wrapped her arms around him and drifted off. He smiled in the darkness and watched her, only a moment longer before he too fell fast asleep.
